When I locked my keys (both sets..stupid I know. Won't do that again lol) in my Honda, I called a locksmith and was quoted at 60 bucks, an hour wait, and a disclaimer saying they aren't responsible for potential damage. So, being stuck at a mall, I decided to call the local Honda dealer. A friend drove me 10 minutes down the road and for 45 bucks, they cut me a spare key based on the VIN and proof I owned the car, and I was good to go. If you've locked your keys in your cars people, during normal business hours, call a nearby dealer first. No damage, quicker, and now I have a 3rd key to boot. I'm in no way shaming locksmiths however.
While the locksmiths are often crooks, there is nothing inherently wrong with setting up a national call center to contract out to different locksmiths.
THE VANDAL CHAOS THEORY INTERPRETED Tactical There is nothing sweater than the Feing that flows up my leg.. knowing that these bastard will,be locked,in a concrete cell 23 hours a day for as many years as god allows.. they ruines peoples lives and this must end
MIS315 ok? Let’s just assume your not a fucking moron. What’s your point? Anything educated to say or are you some lazy fuck who can’t make more then $30,000 a year?
All I'm saying is that is an incredible business idea. Poor implementation, perhaps, but this is basically crowdfunding your advertising instead of competing locally. Brilliant!
He is in the Philippines now. He hired my call center services for 4 months. Then put up his own and took all my people away. I should have seen this video early. He is in roadside towing services doing exactly the same thing.
You're right, except for the illegal false advertising these shitheads partake in by quoting a $20-40 price then trying to vcharge 10 times that when they arrive.
Next time your car gets lovked out just sign up for AAA , 35 dollars and they hook you up with towing, jumpstart, 1 gallon of fuel and keys locked in your car

Uh yeah, but you don't pay AAA for someone to come out do you? You pay a flat fee and they negotiate a price. When has AAA quoted you a price, than charged you 10x more? Moron, use logic.
So people really think that someone is going to stop everything, drive out to wherever they locked their keys in the car, open the car for them, then drive back to wherever they were and charge them 15 bucks? Really how long it takes to open the car is irrelevant, 15 bucks likely wouldn't cover gas and insurance.

All the 15 dollars that rll says you need is for the actual service. Whatever the actual "locksmith" charges for labor and time is up to them, not rll. Maybe people should read fine print if want convenience from Google ads so bad.
That is a very good point we serve 500,000 customers a year and you come up to me with 199 complaints that number doesn't even put a scratch in the total year count. That ratio is probably exactly the same with most businesses on this planet.
The guy could be a crook for all I know, but I really don't think theres anything wrong with what's shown on this video. I mean the guy can charge whatever he wants. He's basically found a way to be the middle man and make money from it.
Paul Williams i mean ge is hes just like the leas compsbies that charge businesses whether u get the work or not. Its an emergency service its going to cost he just charges ab extra 20 to facilitate the service not his fault you didn't read
they did though, its 19$, they don't tell the owner the real price untill after the job is done, its not the owners fault that they want more money, its like in walmart, if its advertised as the price you have to give the person that price period
That old saying, if it's sounds to good to be true it probably is. The KEY thing is not to lock yourself out. If you were concentrating on what you were doing not looking down at your mobile 24/7 you wouldn't be in the shit. If I was a locksmith and got a call at 3am to get someone in their house, i Would charge a premium. They may well charge over the top but what are you going to do? Take it as a lesson, well learnt and move on.
It never happened to me but you can easily lose your keys or even get your keys stolen. It's nothing to do with smartphones. I get it that the guy who actually comes at 3 am charges a premium but you've to understand that this guy adds no value at all.
New subscriber here. Found your channel & love it. Great that you name & shame these rouges as we say in England UK. Tally ho chaps. 🇬🇧 Now orrff to feed my horses & clean my moat. Lol :)
I don't think he is committing a crime, he's doing his thing despite being "expensive" , it's America. If you want to open an overpriced business guess what, you can!
You would have to be dumb to think anyone with skills will show up for $15.... Literally for that price you are going to have some clown show up and throw a rock threw the window
Tinder inc 😂😂😂😂 I laugh my fucking ass off at thatcomment!! And I agree this man committed no crime he’s just really fucking smart. And he didn’t scam anyone either this video ruined the reporters credibility a tad
This is the same lame crap as the guy who posts a business as a florist but calls local florists to deliver, while he takes a cut off the top. Resell fro Hell.
Everything is great with this video with the exception of the customers saying the job was too easy or too quick. If they had the skills necessary they would have been able to do it themselves, but they weren't. Can't complain about the price that someone else charges you to do a job that you contract them to do. Otherwise, don't ask for it to be done.
Call the fire department to open your vehicle. They usually have a slim jim to do it and usually no charge. Unless they get a call for an emergency, you should be okay.
I locked myself out of a 1995 Civic and called a locksmith (this was off Rt1 in Virginia). I was in the parking lot of a closed junkyard, where I had parked to walk across the street to visit an old park in Woodbridge, VA. I was quoted something like $29 or $39 on the phone but then spoke to the locksmith when he called me to confirm location. I asked him about the price and he said he'd have to see the car to know how much work was involved. This made me suspicious because, like I said, I was locked out of a 1995 Honda Civic, a very common car (this happened around 2008 or 2009). At that point, I asked him how long he had been doing this. IDK his exact reply to that, but he wasn't in training... Then I asked, "Well how many Hondas, specifically Civics have you opened up?" Again, IDK his exact answer. But for what he wanted to charge, I was willing to smash my own window (which was tinted) and pay to have the window (and tint) replaced before I waited there and paid him $100 or more dollars. I'm all for the open, free market in the USA but this guy was going to "size up" my wallet, unable to tell me a price before he showed up. All fair play, really, but I knew there was a cheaper (FREE) & faster solution. His tactic was to see if I had actually waited, which would mean I probably had no other solution, then try to figure the most money he could get out of me. Again, I guess, nothing wrong with that. But one of the women in this video paid a guy $500 to get in to her car! Surely, some sleazy locksmith sized up her pocketbook and chiseled that woman, and hard, once he detected her fear and lack of another solution. I ended up getting a handle off an empty bucket that was sitting on the ground, next to the building (I honestly don't know if it was a junkyard or a mechanic shop, and it doesn't matter) and shaping it in to a "J" that i slid thru the door frame. Hooked on to the unlock latch, next to the door handle, and unlocked it myself. Same thing happened, with the same 1995 Civic, when I was back in Florida-- that time it was a wire I got from outside a closed plumbing shop, did the same thing. Ladies & Gentlemen, next time you lock yourself out of your car, keep your wits about yourself. You can probably get in it for free, or ask even a closeby stranger if you're not in a desolate area, to help you. All you need is some rigid wire. If there is a Dollar Tree within walking distance, buy a bucket for $1. Or just look around for something-- a coat hanger from a thrift or Wal-Mart will do the trick. AAA (AAA+ is better, definitely worth it) is the best thing you can have as a motorist, hands down. 4 tows, up to 100 miles. Gas delivery, in case you run out. Lockout service included. Can't beat it.
you my friend were scammed by a company, like this guy in video owns. Bait and switch, but very high markup- the real issue is the "locksmith" that came out to you was not an actual locksmith
Ok let’s go back to grade 3! If sally gives you 5000 apples a week for 1 year, how many apples has Sally given you? Hint* it’s not one million. You’re off by 740,000 snapper head! Guess that’s why $15 turns into $195🤷🏼♂️
