Hall Valley is a moderate off-road trail just of 285 and roughly 1 1/2 hours from Denver, CO. It takes you up to an old mining area with amazing views.
My grandmother had property one mountain to the east. I remember visiting a silver mine in the area, being told not to pick up anything. Of course, I never listened and picked up a small fist sized chunk of galena (lead ore).
