Hallicrafters SX-42 

Nice SX-42! One of my most favorite receivers!

I have a hallicrafter shortwave radio. It is being repaired right now. The shortwave radio is from the late 1940s. Wish me luck!

I used to have the SX-43 long time ago, 73's

I have one of these, using it nearly every day for over 20 years. I found it at our local county dump. It was in the "reclaim" section, with the R-42 Reproducer. Complete, with service manual, replacement tubes. Even the FM section works ! However, I turned it on recently, and it seem to only to be working on a few bands. The face & top is rusty. With 33 caps, it would be a very time consuming radio to restore. Do you have any contacts that would consider undertaking a restoration task on this great radio ?

The best Halicrafters, is wonderfull ¡¡¡ So difficult to get hear in Argentina...

Classic radio, but you could have operated from the front, most of the time your hands obstruct the great view.
