This animated hand Halloween bowl has a small speaker that just doesn't cut the mustard. This video shows how to couple the audio out of the bowl so it can be amplified into a larger speaker for a much better result. I used a 10:1 attenuation pad to reduce the "speaker" level audio to "line" level so that it doesn't overdrive an amplifier.
If you wanted to add a 10uf cap in series with the center lead to capacitively couple the audio, it wouldn't hurt. In my setup, my amp didn't need it.
Every USB power adapter is different ! Although they all say 1amp or 2 amps, you may have a poor result. Try changing the adapter!
