@@anthonyjordanmoviesandmore2470 I mean, they explained it in the previous movie. “The more he kills, the more he transcends into something impossible to defeat”, killing makes him more powerful, but he went 4 years without killing. He was weakened so much that both Corey and Laurie were able to take him down. Obviously if this was the previous Michael from the previous movie when he was killing nonstop, then obviously this altercation would’ve gone down VERY differently.
I actually like how they're trying to give us something different (although it doesn't work well within this trilogy), but this took it way too far - nobody wants to see Michael treated like this. But the scenes with Corey in the mask going on a killing spree was my favorite part - and the prosthetic busted face/tongue on the DJ was incredible - like something I haven't seen in a film in 20+ years. I wish after this trilogy they'd just start experimenting with each new film and treat it like the Friday franchise. Fans of the slasher genres don't need you to reinvent the wheel, we will show up no matter what. It's very rare a slasher gets released these days.
For the Corey going on the spree in the mask, I like it because it is supposed to resemble Michael, like the evil doesn’t end, it just take a different shape and also how Corey was standing near the bushes when Laurie was looking out the window and also when Corey got up like Michael.
Yeah but it was weird having a tragic character having one of the most brutal and graphic deaths in the entire series and being the only one (although accidental) to murder an actual child, while the killer, who is always portrayed as "the shape of pure evil", didn't lol
Word. I'd love to see Michael team up w/Ice Cube & Chris Tucker or Mike Epps for the next _Friday_ installment. It'd make about as much sense as this scene did, so fuck it, why not?
Yeah i am pretty sure the fans didn't want michael to become a cameo whos a weakling compared to how much of tank he was in kills so that's why I would put ends last in the trilogy
The funniest part about this to me is how Michael is just standing around like an AFK player in a video-game. This is LITERALLY a helpless old man who was minding his own business getting jumped and mugged by a young punk.
“Helpless old man” home boy is one of the most feared supernatural serial killers in this movie verse and you’re acting like he’s an old innocent grandpa
@@trey5002 Michael is helpless and weak in this movie. The last 2 and 78 we was an unstoppable force but in Ends he couldn’t do Jack shit without Corey’s help
I’m waiting for someone to add one of those stock comedy music or a laugh track. The way their struggle is shot in a completely still wideshot without any cuts all the way through just makes it even funnier
In the last movie he killed several firefighters, a few cops and the "mob" of Hill Billies armed with random objects and then just walked way normally. Now he's getting tackled by the Live action version of Spongebob squarepants, and getting his mask robbed right in his face? What the Hell were they thinking ?
@@bloodymosquitobloodymosqui1337 yeah I came to conclusions that Michael may have just really been injured badly and couldn’t sustain those injuries. Think about the movie logan, aka wolverine he was strong and still had good abilities but was old asl and he died to his injuries maybe the same happen for Michael
@@MarkizzyOnYT Wolverine Is genetically enginered with an adamantium skeleton and (i dont remember the name of the mutation) a gene that gave him 200 years of Life or more,Michael Myers Is a normal man, with all injuries he took, broken Bones, stabs ,beat down, bullets, hit by Cars,he become sick and weak, maybe he have ,or dealt with the infections from all the bullets he still have in his body, broken bones, infected burns,he maybe passed last 4 years crawling in that shit hole dealing with hig Fever, multiple infections,Extreme physical pain for all the fractures, and he Is becoming Old 65 Years Old Rotten guy,do you think he can ramoage people like when he was 20? No way. Sorry for my english,is a lot of time maybe 15 years that i dont speak english as 1st language
The fact that Micheal still alive destroyed like that Is already a proof of his derermination and strenght,Is really lucky in this scene cause he have the force to fight back in that broken mood
Im not gonna lie..When I watched this scene and the one where Corey brings the Cop to the sewer and Yells at Michael to "GET UP"..seein Michael's shakin and Obeyin Him made me feel Tight..the way he got disrespected was like a Slap in the face to all the fans..but thats just me tho
I'm hoping that was just another crazy homeless guy and not the real michael because of that's the real michael then they completely destroyed a legend and disrespected him in so many ways
This is dead ass my favorite scene in the movie because it shows that Michael is just a man, a man become that boogeyman to a whole community. But when he got his mask stolen that when he was forced to come out of hiding with what little strength he has left in him. He wasn't ready to face Laurie Strode Corey made him fight her. James Jude Courtney is my favorite Michael Myers
“Just a man” who took on a dozen armed firefighters ???? “Just a man” who got beat up with a baseball ball, stabbed, shot, and still got up and kept on killing ??? All of a sudden he’s a p*ssy. This movie sucks ass.
I wonder what Michael must have been thinking when Corey put his hands on him, like, "You little shit, I spared your life. I took you under my wing and this is how you thank me?"
Legit just watched this at the theater last night and it made me laugh so hard 😂 Poor Michael was ready to go on another killing spree then here comes Corey to kick his ass and steal his shit 🤦🏻♀️😂😂😂
@@Kevin-nl3bw how else would you explain that strength? it's not just age after just 4 years and he's just weak now? lol this movie didn't make any sense but took a turn I didn't expect aswell. I wanted it to finally end here but at the same want a redo
For people saying that Michael is a pushover in this scene, I'd like to give a counterpoint. Michael literally had him by the throat with what little of his power he had left and decided to let him go with a little gift from him. Some of his own power. So in this scene we are seeing a even weaker Myers VS a little bit more powerful Corey. Almost level with each other. Both consumed by Evil.
He lost a lot of blood do to being shot by the mob and stabbed so many times and got his fingers chopped off which made him lose more more blood and Corey was able to put him down do to the blood loss of Michael Myers
@@isrealsalvador576 agree but his fingers didn't get chopped off they were blowed off my Laurie with a shotgun. All the crap Michael gone through in the last 2 movies is finally catching up to him
You have to understand this is 4 years after the events of kills where he took a SHIT TON of damage. He’s probably got collapsed lungs, heart problems, broken fractured bones and he’s also well into his 60s by now. It is what it is
This scene was so dumb that i had to pause the movie & smoke a cigarette to cool off, before I started it back up. It makes absolutely no sense. In the previous scene he pins a full-grown woman to a wall after he lifts her 3 feet off the ground w/1 arm. You can try & justify it by saying he was just _"weak in that moment because he hadn't killed anyone in..."_ (however long it takes him to recharge), but that makes it OK for them to just suddenly make up new random rules in the 4th (including the '78 _Halloween)_ film - it's especially dumb considering that after he'd just been shot 5 times at point blank range, (if we're keeping count, it's 13 or 14 times total), stabbed I dunno how many times, & then curb stomped in at the end of _Kills,_ to which he responds by *brutally murdering an entire mob of people* who were all armed w/weapons - you're telling me he can't fend off 1 whiney emo kid throwing a temper-tantrum? They made Michael & Corey fuckin' _Shovin' Buddies_ (I hope someone gets that reference) for Christ's sakes! Honestly, they couldn't think of a better way for Corey to get Michael's mask? Of all things, he wrestles w/him like Michael is his drunk step-dad & snatches it off him like when Jake Paul stole Mayweather's hat! It's fucking disgraceful how badly they nerfed Michael is in this film!
@@BIGJXXX Why are you apologizing? It's the truth! I saw Corey & Michael playing grab-ass & it reminded me of the video of Khabib wrestling a bear & i thought _"What the fuck am i watching...?"_
@@legendary.super.shannon9699 I feel the same way! This scene just tied it all together that Michael got hella disrespected no matter the “energy transfer” that happened when they first met. Even when weakened he could’ve beat Corey’s ass, instead he got manhandled just like the homeless guy.
0:00 Michael seemed to be standing at the entrance of the tunnel and waiting for his son, Corey. These fights sounded like father-son fights to me. He was sensitive to Michael Corey, even when they were fighting.
Michael murder and entire group of firefighters and a whole mob in the last movie but gets manhandled by a teenager in this. They did him so wrong this movie🤦♂️
Michael obviously wasn't really trying that hard here. Just a short time earlier, he lifted and held a woman with one hand, his damaged hand at that. And later, he tossed Laurie like a bag of potatoes. No real killer instinct towards Corey even while fighting, at least not until after he took the mask from him.
Jason don’t care about his mask like Micheal does, maybe if it was his mother’s head or something… but regardless if Corey were to attack him he would fold him like a lawn chair LOL
This movie is an insult to Michael Myers and his legacy. I can remember the 2018 film being a golden comeback for him after a decade hiatus, Kills continued that. But the final film destroyed this 40 years Later trilogy. Whose idea was it to backseat Michael?
This movie was realistic. Ppl were told at the start of the Trilogy that he will no longer be indestructible. Now in this movie the man is 65 and damn near handicapped after the beating he took...he wouldn't manhandle a young faster man and wouldn't be hard to defeat. I think they should have let Corey survive and stalk the granddaughter in sequels and let Mike go out with a little more of a bang then he did. He could of had a cpl more kills that were creative.
when they attack the doctor they are both at the house.. so there must have been a time between scenes of myers and corey organizing or traveling to that location together. it can't be a coincidence that they both chose the same target.
In the theatre I was like “Oh Michael is gonna f*ck him up” only to see Michael legitimately be put to the ground by this character who we barely met in this one movie, if the guy was introduces in earlier movies then that kind of arc towards his character would have meant something in this movie but….6/10 sorry not sorry
Usually this would’ve ended in either two ways : Michael keeps on shrugging off Corey like he’s nothing to him or He smashes Corey in the face the moment he tries to go for the mask
Never expecting it to go this route but alright lol. I guess michael has finally met pennywise. I'm guessing he possessed corey and that explains the strength but this kinda still confused me and this whole movie felt weird and had me lost lol.
I like this. For me it makes total sense that Michael would be weak enough to let Corey take the mask. Michael feeds off fear Corey's not afraid of him.
@@jamesgatz4490 yeah I pretend that movie never happened. That movie and Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 are the only Halloween movies that I just don't like.
0:04 to 0:35, if Michael could speak: “ay what up brother Corey, hey woah WOAH! Corey bro what are you doing?!? Woah bro Corey calm down,BRO STOP TRYING TO TAKE MY MASK!!! YOU HAVE YOUR OWN SCARECROW MASK NOW KNOCK IT OFF. *corey takes off mask* Oh wow Corey I can’t believe you just did that. I CANNOT GO OUT LOOKING LIKE THIS!”
Can’t lie I don’t like how Michael went out in this last movie but I feel like it was realistic cuz at this point he was already old asl and he probably still recovering from when he fought the whole town even though he survived it they probably did do some serious damage to him
If Michael kept killing at the rate he did in kills the stronger he becomes. But in Ends Michael wasn't killing but hiding with his strength decreasing for the past 4 years. That's why he fail to stop Corey from taking his mask. With what little strength Michael has he's forced to come out of hiding and was in no Condition to fight Laurie all thanks to Corey taking his mask. This is my favorite scene in the movie most look at it as a joke but for me it has meaning.
But he wasn't killing anyone for 40 years between 1978 to 2018, yet when he escaped he was perfectly fine, so how can he be this weak only after 4 years of not killing
@@Mari000 not only that..but idk where he got the "He didn't kill for 4 years" when the Old man clearly stated that Michael was draggin people IN there(killing them), thats why he was surprised when he let Corey "Live"..this movie is a walkin contradiction..they fumble so bad. Lazy writing.
@@petarnacevski1562 take into a account that all the damage michael got in 2018 and Kills is finally starting to get to him and he's probably killing people at a slow rate yes he's killing homeless people but that's not enough to get his strength back.
They just won't stop punking Michael Myers in these movies, will they? 😂 First that cocky ass Tommy beat the hell out of him in H6, then a kung fu Busta freaking Rhymes in Resurrection, and now a college kid.
Everyone mad about Busta but had no problem with Michael's arch nemesis being a 90 year old doctor for most his appearances. Heck, in this movie he lose a 1v1 fight to a 80 year old jamie Lee curtis
Micheal has killed 300 lb people with one arm then gets absolutely disrespected by a band kid and an old lady (Lorie) in this movie. Worst one they have made. Slap in the face to all fans.
I mean to be fair laurie always fucks up michael and he does the same back to her but for this random person that's a different story. So I'm guessing he possessed him so he got a part of his strength
Michael Myers is basically thanos from the beginning of endgame he killed half of the town killed Laurie daughter then he retired on the tunnel like thanks at the beginning of endgame
Only thing i can see good coming from this movie, is seeing Corey become the next Haddonfield Boogeyman, as his death wasnt confirmed and his body wasn't seen again so instead of being taking to the morgue I'm hoping its left open for him to return, it would of been so much better if they showed you the mask on the table and after lauries speech see the mask missing, with corey breathing at the end... because obviously they can't bring Michael Myers back, was horrible seeing Michael so weak, it was disrespectful to Myers having such a short time in the movie, so now we can see a new michael myers reeboot if they don't go with a Corey Halloween franchise,
I would rather if they could somehow rewrite Jamie Lloyd back and have her be the new Shape like in part 4. But yeah how Michael ended. WTF??? This would trilogy was nothing but a JLC ego fest instead of Michael's franchise.
@@DarksaberForce i just think its a insult to michael myers from halloween 2018 and kills, to the way he survives and then in the latest movie make him out to be so weak, but halloween 4 5 6 H20 should never of been writen, because they would have more ideas to move forward, where jamie was (laurie)daughter made no sense now back then ok but now doesn't where john from H20 was lauries son but in this trilogy she has a daughter Karen not john, they could make the baby from Halloween 6 into the next Michael Myers moving forward if they don't bring Corey back, but to make things more sense is only watch Halloween 1978 then skip to Halloween 2018 then kills then ends. Because if you watch halloween II where Dr Loomis and Myers get blown up you would need to watch 4 and 5 but they make no sense what so ever
They dropped the ball….. this could’ve been a well put together passing of the torch movie . Micheal seen the evil in Corey and respected it and it would’ve been dope to see Corey groom himself into a top killer especially with his background. When Cory put the mask on and went on his killing spree, even I was impressed and I’m sure Micheal would’ve been to.. But They turned Corey into some lil spoiled kid that wanted to beat the master and they really let that shit happen smh in this scene . Uncalled for .Cory had potential to carry this shit , but he went way to far and the writers allowed this bullshit to pass . Never disrespect the master or show the master can be man handled smh
I just don't get the framing of the shot, if you had this up close and tracking Corey as he wrestles Michael, it might have been a bit more intense and interesting - because it's just Corry and Michael tumbling around the background of a shot it just looks silly.
