Here you go bro The Silver Scream: 1. The American Nightmare (Nightmare on Elm St.) 2. Thank God It's Friday (Friday the 13th) 3. Stabbing in the Dark (Halloween) 4. Savages (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) 5. The Jig Is Up (Saw) 6. A Grave Mistake (The Crow) 7. Rocking the Boat (Jaws) 8. Enjoy Your Slay (The Shining) 9. Freak Flag (The Devil's Rejects) 10. The World in My Hands (Edward Scissorhands) 11. Merry Axe-mas (Silent Night, Deadly Night) 12. Love Bites (American Werewolf in London) 13. It Is the End (IT) Great album. Not a single skip in the bunch. Personal favorites are Enjoy Your Slay and It Is the End
They also released a final cut edition which included some acoustic versions but also had a cover of thriller by Michael Jackson and a new song called 'your numbers up' which is about scream
Safe is just a shadow fucking rips. The song "Rock The Boat" has the Jaws theme but Spencer managed to use the name of EVERY album they put out in that song
I'm seeing a lot of comments about watching the official video. I definitely will! I was just trying to do whatever I could to not have the video blocked by RU-vid for any copyright issues. Plus I thought it was really important to see the lyrics for this particular song. Even though some of them were wrong apparently. 😂
ice nine kills yeahhhhhh . spencer ( the singer ) has an amazing voice , and he's creepy too , he looks like he's an horror movie character , i mean , one of the killers , not the victim for sure haha , do communion of the cursed next !!
Lol I wouldn't say Spencer looks like a horror movie character, but he does share some mannerisms of a person with a twisted mind. Especially when you see him talking about horror and gore, he's eerily calm.. Like when you see a character talking about killing someone as if it meant nothing to them. It's almost disturbing.
Spencer Charnas really is a lyrical and musical genius. I've loved this band since the very first listen and the love only grew once The Silver Scream came out. I'm so fking excited for The Silver Scream 2!
I absolutely loved seeing your enthusiasm when analyzing the lyrics of the song! Not a huge horror movie fan myself but I absolutely love Ice Nine Kills. And they even bring the vibe of every movie they sing about on stage too. I remember seeing them in my city this year (before the corona lockdown and all) and in this particular song Spencer (the lead singer) was dressed in his Michael Myers costume, with the knife and all. It was pretty fucking cool!
love how towards the end of the song after he says trick or fucking treat the beat has a element of john carpenters Halloween theme under the beat its a really small change that works so well with this song
one of the lyrics was wrong. it said “now my head is a battlefield” it actually is “now haddonfields my battlefield” cool reference that the makers of the lyric video got wrong.
This is actually how I felt when this song came out, Halloween is my favorite horror movie of all time. Also I think some of the lyrics on screen are wrong but it gets the point across
I’m kinda sad you didn’t comment about how the breakdown resembled the track that’s played when Michael starts going after a victim. I believe that specific track is called “Michael lurks” lol
INK puts so much time and effort into each song! One thing that I love about this one, that no one seems to mention, is the couple times in the song that they sample the theme from Mr. Sandman, which was a big part of the original Halloween. Most of their songs sample some sort of musical theme from each movie.
Actually, Mr. Sandman wasn't used in the original Halloween. It was used in Halloween II (1981). Sorry but I'm a stickler for Halloween trivia. 😂 That's a really good catch though! Thanks for pointing that out.
I find it so frustrating when these lyric videos get the lyrics wrong, especially lines like “now Haddonfield’s my battlefield” - because it’s where the films are set.
@@LadyxSky Actually, the wrong lyrics work, too. But, everyone is right. If you're gonna put up the lyrics to a song, triple check them from the main source to make sure they're correct
Also your reaction was fucking amazing, for me, who loves horror movies and metal I loved this song and seeing someone react the same way i did, gets me really excited and passionate about horror movies and metal music all together
Bro, first time viewer.. was checking out INK reactions.. and found your video because of the caption. Immediately clicked to watch, and just found my long lost brother, 😂.. first off I love INK, and then the Halloween Franchise is also my favorite out of all Horror. So, it’s badass to know I’m not alone! Myers will always be the goat. 🤘🤘
Their music videos for the Silver Scream are amazing; you should check them out. Some of them are extended editions and tie into each other to make a story. In this order: 1. The American Nightmare, 2. Thank God Its Friday, 3. A Grave Mistake, 4. Stabbing in The Dark, 5. It Is The End.
Great reaction man! I love seeing people discover this band/song who love horror/Halloween. Makes the songs just that much better. For sure check out the rest of The Silver Scream album
One thing that you may have missed or didn't even notice is that the pre-chorus break is from Mister Sandman, which was a very prominent song in the original Halloween film. For 30 years now, every time I hear Mister Sandman I always immediately think of Halloween.
One of my favorite bands and songs because I’m a horror fiend and Halloween is my favorite obviously because of my name and I’ve felt the most connected to a Michael because of me being quiet,a loner, an outcast and my problems with depression and anger
I just found out about Ice Nine Kills last Friday and have been in love with them since. The Silver Scream is my favorite album and this song is my favorite from it. There's an acoustic version of this song that I listen to every day
Love the analysis! I like reacts where you actually focus on the song and lyrics! I'm a fan of Ice Nine Kills since 2010 and got the pleasure to see them live when they came to Australia last year, it was amazing! They had someone donned a shark costume for Rocking the Boat as it was about Jaws and the guitarist dressed up as Georgie for IT is the end. Satisfied that they sound the same live!
Should have watched the actual video too. Definitely check out the other songs on that album. they're all great. The Jig is up, IT is the End, The American Nightmare, Thank God it's Friday, Enjoy Your Slay, Merry Axe-Mas
Hey bro, can't seem to get around to it, but I finally am! Just letting you know, your doing a great job with your reactions, and I really enjoy them! Keep up the good work bro!!
Bro i never expected you of all people to react to ice nine kills but I love you for it Try “My enemies and I” listen to perfect I think you’ll like it their entire “the beast inside” album is amazing
I loved that you were so in tune with the original. Wish you'd have pointed out that high-low note riff they did that was essentially used in the movie when Jason was "chasing" (walking) behind his victims. The entire Silver Scream album was insane, check it out and the Every Trick in the Book album was one based... well, classic literature (some horrorish some just iconic literature like Romeo and Juliet for example). I want people more in tune with their unique play on the heavy metal/hard core genera to do videos like the one you've made because I think even with the success of the most recent album, all of their work is amazing. Spencer is the only band member from the beginning, the lead singer. They've turned over so many times because they had trouble gaining traction. This was so cool to watch knowing you actually appreciated what they did here. Keep it up, my guy!
If you like horror movies so much look up Dead Meat on RU-vid he covers a lot of horror movies and gives a brief thing of every movie along with counting kills which is what his thing is.
you can tell that you really like horror movies like i do !!! i would love to see some more ice nine kills !! every song it's from a different horror movie !!! the creepy vibes , the references from movies , the connections , they're just amazing .. i can tell you're genuinely excited about it , and it's amazing to watch !!! do moreeee pleaseee
Fun fact about this album the music videos for all the songs actually line up to make a plot of a horror movie, I really suggest reacting to them or just watching them in order in your own time
This whole album is insane! They do such a great job from the references to each villan's biography to actually including sound clips from the original music or replicating the original music on guitar! This album includes all the old slasher films as well as some others such as (Jason, Freddy, Saw, The Crow, IT, and several others) If you're a horror movie fan you're going to love this entire album!
Their album before this one is called Every Trick in the Book in where every song is inspired by a piece of literature. The biggest hit off that being "Communion of the Cursed" which is based off of The Exorcist.
In the movie didn't Micheal basically shrug off a SPAS-12 shotguns blast even though it knocked him on his ass he just sat straight up and was like "Nahhh I'm just playing that didn't hurt" Lol
Been watching a few metal reactions for a few years now. Love your vids man. I look forward to yours the most these days. Keep up the good work my man. Would love to see you react to some parkway drive. Wishing wells or crushed. Do it!
Loved the video my man I would recommend: The Jig Is Up (Based off Saw) Your numbers up (Based off Scream) American Nightmare (Based off Nightmare on Elm street) Thank God iTs Friday (Based off Friday the 13th) All great Ice Nine Kills songs
Hey man. I know I'm three months late. That early line "My head feels like a battlefield" is actually " Now Haddonfield's my battlefield." Just a nice little easter egg in there.
Great reaction!! You gotta check out the “story” tho, the silver scream trilogy 1: The American Nightmare 2: Thank God It’s Friday 3: A Grave Mistake 4: Stabbing In The Dark 5: It Is The End The last one is definitely my personal fav!! 😍
Idk if you caught it or not, but after the “You can’t kill the boogeyman” breakdown going into the chorus there are some sung “bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum bum” in the melody of Mr. Sandman (because it was in Halloween 2)
If you watch the songs in order from the silver scream album from Ice Nine Kills, 5 of them make up a horror story that is interconnected, you may like it.
Please watch the video for it too I have a feeling you'd like it but they also have like a series of videos that they do for this album that make it into their own little horror movie you should really try and react to it! For got the order but it's because I listen to them everyday and so yeah but got a feeling you'll like it!!
