What's cool is Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street 84 , were filmed in the same neighborhood . The Doyle house is only like a street or two away from the Elm Street house . Guessing because of Halloween is prob why Wes Craven chose that area for his movie .

I actually went to Garfield Elementary School @ 8:22 from 2nd-8th grade. (It's a K-8th school). And my very first classroom, when I started attending the school in 2nd grade, happens to be right where Tommy is first seen walking, the first door to his left. I find it so coincidental because I've been a Halloween fanatic since I was really young (the holiday, not the movie) and the movie happens to be my favorite horror film. What are the chances I would attend this school?? lol Super awesome if you ask me. P.S. I attended the school from 2001-2008. I'm now almost 22 years old and still live in the same area. :)

+tasteegold7772 I hope you are kidding. It was a real place not a set, could you imagine if every place that a movie was shot stayed the same with no progress over the years? It's just like some people were all going crazy over the fact that the main camp filming location for Friday the 13th part 2 was pretty much demolished not too long ago, those people were upset because it should have been left alone for nostalgic purposes... Well it is not a movie set, it is a real place, private property, what do people expect is going to happen? Leave it all as was years ago to please a handful of people? No.

If I was just dropped onto that sidewalk out of nowhere, I'd have no clue where I was despite having seen the film more times than I care to admit. And surely most of those bulldozed houses were still owned/occupied. Eminent Domain, I have to assume...hopefully the homeowners were compensated handsomely.

for now on every year on Halloween when i go trick or treating we always pass by this house every time were out side the house smoke comes up and i here this familiar horror theme song and Michael Myers apears and im like OH GOODNESS NO!!!!! And were all laughing i walk up to him try get candy and he gave me my little Bro( of course like a little baby hides behind me)that Deathly stare AND HOLDS FREAKIN KNIFE!!!! were like NOPE were getting back on th nope train but of course we still had fun we still got candy and so on

I have watched this movie so many times lol. I now have caught multiple things giving away its filming location . Like palm trees, drains etc but I love it ! Very well done and thanks for sharing! You mentioned the scene where Laurie was singing - did you know the TV version had a scary sound effect when Michael pops out? Sadly, I don’t think any of the dvd/blu ray versions have the sound which was original to me and way more frighting. Also, if you haven't done it already, the Disney Halloween movie "Hocus Pocus" would make for an amazing video, and I'm sure it would be very popular. The locations for that are close to the Pete and Pete locations and there's a lot of great online info on how to find them!

I was 21 when this movie came out and I've had a crush on Jamie Lee Curtis ever since. I know it's only a make believe movie and a plot line was that her character couldn't get a date because she was so smart. I would have been hound dogg'in her big time. What a beauty.

Interesting bit of history. There is no such place as Haddonfield, Illinois. However, Debra Hill, the producer of the original Halloween is from Haddonfield, New Jersey and that's where they got the town name of Haddonfield from to use in the movie. Haddonfield, New Jersey would have been a perfect town to shoot the movie in too.

Are there reasons why you don't listen address for these locations? For privacy I assume. Where do you find all these locations? I googled and couldn't find most of them
