Oh that’s exciting ☺️ what hamster do you plan to get ? Sorry for your loss 😓 hamsters who are territorial are a little challenging at times especially when it feels like you’ve tried everything. Unfortunately some hamsters are just like that. I just want to cuddle them all 😂 but of course some hamsters just don’t like any of that ☺️ 🧡🖤

@@malicahamilton I’ve always wanted one of victoria’s old hamsters, the one with black brown and white mixed colouring I usually go for Syrian but I’ve never had a mixed colour like that :) I think my hamster could’ve become tame overtime, she did settle down after a little bit but I’m just not the type who wants to handle hamsters all the time just take good care of them feed them and pet them a little bit on the back and that’s about it ! :)

Aww thank thank you ! Oh that’s exciting ☺️ she probably does come out when you’re sleeping or when no ones around. I had a robo and they can be very skittish 🧡

Hamsters really dont need much water so what she might be doing is waiting until you are asleep to drink, to make sure draw a line on the bottle where the water reaches and see if it goes down, you should also check the water is coming out of it. If you can, it will probably be too hard if she’s not tame, try gently pinching her back, if it goes straight back to normal she isn’t dehydrated, if it stays for a few seconds you should take her to a vet. If nothing else works you could put some cucumber or other watery vegetable in the cage for her to eat, but it’s pretty likely she’s drinking anyways. Its common not to see them do these things in the first week or two so don’t worry

There’s over 6 inches it literally fills half the height of the cage so I’m sure that’s more than enough for her to burrow which bluebell does do occasionally ☺️

I done some last year just a few but I’m not sure if I’m going to be doing them this year. It’s really stressful doing monthly boxes especially seasonal ones. I’ve already started working on my Christmas boxes so that I can post them next month. It’s going to be super busy and stressful doing Christmas boxes on top of normal orders so doing calendars would be a bit of a stretch especially because my orders have increased drastically this year 🧡

No I don’t use pine bedding I’ve had hamsters for 8 years and I know it’s dangerous. I use hemp and it’s a bit more like chips than shavings. Any type of substrate can poke your hamster snd pine shavings are often soft so the issue is not that it will poke your hamster. The issue is that the wood is full of toxics which can use respiratory issues. We don’t really have kaytee over here either it’s not really in UK shops or that easy to find online. Carefresh and kaytee are really expensive over here the small bags are like £6+ & most shops don’t really sell the big ones. I have a whole bag of the small carefresh in the cage and it would just be stupidly expensive to fill the entire cage with it. I’ve had issues with some bags of carefresh being really dusty and I don’t have that issue with the hemp bedding at all. Its better value for money and makes a really good substrate. It doesn’t hold tunnels well but you can layer it with hay ☺️🧡

Hey , you shouldn’t really wake your hamster up unless you really have to such as taking them to the vets or whatever. You could try calling them sometimes they will wake up and crawl out or gently lifting up their hide and talking to them quietly so they don’t get too scared. I don’t wake bluebelle up when I’m filming. I normally just wait until she’s awake or some time when I’m filming she will be up and about for a bit off and on throughout the day ☺️

There’s quite a few safe types of wood based substrates and not all of them cause respiratory infections. ☺️ I use a well recommended hemp substrate & it’s one of the safe types of wood out there. It doesn’t hold tunnels that well but it does if you layer the substrate with hay. Please educate yourself with the correct information because misinformation can really confuse people who don’t know much on the topic. Thank you & theres lots of companies who make hammocks for hamsters and loads of people use them in cages especially on Instagram. I literally see them all the time. I mean as long as they are not too high up they should be fine. Not all hamsters chew them I’ve never had a hamster chew a hammock or any fabric items I’ve had in the cage such a snuggle pouches.y last hamster used to love sleeping in his. If a hamster does chew fabric items then it means that particular hamster just can’t have them. It’s the same with other small animals rats have hammocks but it doesn’t mean they won’t chew them it’s the same with mice or any other animals that use fleece. Bluebelle had the two pink hammocks in her cage for a month and not a single one was chewed on she just walks along them occasionally

Hammocks are lovely to use in hamster cages however you just make sure that the distance between the hammock and the floor is not too high. If your hamster starts to destroy the item remove it immediately. Hamsters climbing on their cage can also be a sign of boredom if that’s what you were referring to.
