This is the best sequel of the franchise and unfortunately it got trashed to the point Akkad ended up running Michael Myers completely into the ground. The anthology choice would have been a much better direction for the franchise. And last but not least Michael and Loomis most certainly would have been dead after part 2.
It's my personal favorite. Sure Halloween 1 and 2 are great, but this is the one I get giddy about rewatching. It is just a fun film to revisit. Great premise.
Yeah, a lot of crap becomes "gold" when it hits the right format. "Amazing" how that happens. It's not the worst movie but the notion that fans were wrong until 2024 came alone is a bit of a hard sell. The format whoredom is getting tiresome.
Other than Halloween II (Rick Rosenthal’s version), it’s my favorite of the sequels. Just a fantastic movie with a great look, feel and music to go with it. And one of THE most iconic finales in horror movie history!
Ive always liked H3 and really wish they went the anthology route. But, Im also a F13 guy over this series, so maybe why I like H3. Personally H1, H2 and H3 are the only ones I care to watch in this series. H3 is a great Halloween staple every year and most seasonal of the series IMO.
My favorite one. It actually scared me, when I was a kid. Michael Myers, however, did not scare me when I was a kid. He got beat up by a teenaged babysitter. Nice Godzilla shirt, btw 👌
Halloween III is probably my favorite sequel of the franchise, and it's because it doesn't detract from the first film as all the other sequels do. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Halloween II and can have a decent time with 4-6 to varying degrees. The rest, I really don't care for, but that's neither here nor there. The fact is all the sequels detract from that first film. Some worse then others, obviously, but I think if you can put Halloween 78 in a vacuum, and ignore everything that came after, that is how it should be. No brother/sister crap, no niece, no cult of thorn etc. Just Michael as he should be. No rhyme or reason. A force of nature. Purely and simply evil. The boogieman. For those reasons, I put Halloween III in higher regard more than most. Not to mention, Tom Atkins... I mean, come on. Man is a legend.
@@marriedwithmedia that’s the song. I can’t believe it’s not stuck in your head I think this is the first Halloween movie I ever saw and still was wondering where Mike was
Halloween III is my favorite of the sequels. When i watched it as a kid (and i think I'm a little bit older than you guys), i didn't care much for it. It's a weird movie. I love it now thought. And i think one of the making of documentaries said that the song is to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down because they didn't want to have to pay anything for it
Michelle you funny / awesome ! Spoiler alert! People wanted the Mike !! 🔪 what a weirdo 🤣 but I love that score / music 🎶 🎃🩸🎥 😂👍👍 you the man Ken ! 👍👍👍 fun review guys 👍.
Watching for the first time I wasn't sure what to expect except for Much to appear, so I didn't like it back then. When I revisited later I found the movie is quite good and carried along very well.
Wish the anthology thing would have taken off. We could've had some good movies from some great directors. The mask thing was kinda stupid. But what would've been the next story, we'll never know
I respect the movie for what it is that michael myers is not in the movie. I had the same reaction as a teenager when i first saw it were was michael myers. Im in the mix on the movie i like the concept and the villian the main characters are hit or miss for me. Sometimes im invested and sometimes i get bored of it. As ive gotten older i appreciate the movie for what it is and that they were trying to do something different. I met both tom atkins and stacy nielkin at monster mania very nice people. Stacy nielkin was very nice and sweet.
I did not like this movie. Probably because I kept somehow expecting Michael to appear. If the movie had been named something else, perhaps my feelings and expectations would have been different. But I just didn’t like the movie itself.
John Carpenter was looking to create an anthology series with Halloween Michael was supposed to be in one film the other films were supposed to all be different stories the studio allowed John to try it with Halloween 3 but the audience did not like it everyone wanted to see Michael and so he had to bring him back.
