Fun fact - No CGI was used for the Loomis scene, 10 layers of face prosthetics was applied to the actor's face, who was really the production designer or something on the set.

So what they did for Donald Pleasence was one of the staff on the set looked very similar to Donald Pleasence, so they put him in makeup to become near identical, then used the voice actor who did the "Loomis Monologue" at the beginning of the last movie to voice act for him, and they just matched it up perfectly.

@Jonathan Jones i agree. I’m still torn 50/50 of the mob scenes because there is a possibility that it could be realistic as far as people going crazy based off the reaction they had. The evil dies tonight was cringe and I feel they killed off nurse chambers and the couple too early and in a completely avoidable way. I can definitely see why the fan base is divided for kills.

Fun fact Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers They recast Tommy Doyle for this film too with Paul Rudd he was approached first to reprise his role in Halloween kills but had to turn it down due to scheduling but Rudd did give Anthony Michael Hall his blessing.

I remember my jaw dropped when I saw Loomis in the flashback. I thought I was experiencing the Mandela effect and in reality Donald Pleasance never died. It turns out it was one of the make up artists(if I’m not mistaken) who was suited up as Loomis. They noticed while shooting that he had uncannily similar appearance to Donald. So they decided to use him for that scene and They got a comedian(who also provided the Loomis voiceover in the 2018) to do the voice. The Make up artist resembles Donald so much that they were afraid that after dressing him up and make up he would look LESS like Loomis because he already resembled him so much.

Fun fact, this movie's Dr. Loomis was played by the construction coordinator Tom Jones Jr. who looked a hell of a lot like Donald Pleasence. Thanks James A. Janisse at Dead Meat for that info from the Kill Count on this movie.

This is my favorite movie from halloween series. So creative and visually good. When he comes out from the burning house looks so epic or the shot from inside of firemans mask when he was stabbed. Mask ist so terrifying. Musik was fire.

31:16 Why is this scene so powerful despite the rest of the movie? Simple trick: Have your bad guy move like a predator. Michael moves exactly the same way a lion does in presence of their prey. Just the sloooooooow look left, then right. Dude moves according to his time. Your time is up to him. Also, the music is HOLY SHIT good.

Loomis was played on set by Tom Jones, Jr., who was also the film's art director. Add in some stunning prosthetics by make-up artist Chris Nelson and Donald Pleasence was brought back to life. Amazing practical effects!! Also, Rick was correct, David gordon Green ignored all of the sequels after Halloween 1978. So, Michael instead gets captured and Halloween 2, in the hospital, never happened. These were creative choices but also legal issues were in play for some reason.

4:15 The Doctor Sam Lewis scene in the beginning was played by someone who was a member of the crew but then the cruel wreck looked at him and thought he'd replica d*** i* doesn't hit it you look a lot like the late actor who played him Donald pleasant so they decided to use him to bring back the character they used prosthetics and he had an impressionist to his voice like a Halloween 2018 they also had the same impression as through the voice of luminous in the tapes that those reporters were doing on Michael.

What i found funny about this movie is that, while the town rallies to kill Michael once and for all and his evil "corrupts" the people of Haddonfield, Michael spends the whole movie literally anywhere except the place the mob is basically playing live action Hitman

This Halloween trilogy isn't really about Michael Myers. The 2018 film is about how we let the past infect our entire lives. This film is about legends and mob mentality. The last is about how society can create its own monsters if we aren't careful.

Yea sure. Pretty much EVERY character in Kills is talking about Michael Myers. But since Ends came out, people like to pretend it wasn't about him all along. I see what your saying and you're not wrong per se, but the filmmakers didn't bring these messages into the foreground and dealt with them in a very odd way. How they were trying to convey these messages didn't really work for me (and most people it seems). The 2018 movie was about Laurie and her trauma from 1978 (and that was quite good imo) - Kills was about Michael and what people think to know about him and Ends about future generations after these horrific events took place. Wether they succeeded with the portrayal of these themes is debatable.

After seeing Ends, I have a new appreciation for Kills. I will gladly rewatch Kills even with the EVIL DIES TONIGHT 97 times and a woman with an iron at the end because I know Michael carries the movie. I doubt I will ever rewatch Ends. Michael even lost a kill in Ends.

@@Josh-dy4lq I enjoyed it because film is subjective. There’s no good or bad, just an individual’s opinion. I thought it was a very satisfying ending, the way Michael Myers is finally destroyed. And I liked the unique direction they took. They have toyed with the idea of someone becoming the new Michael Myers ever since Halloween 4. I’m glad they finally tried it. It was cool seeing Michael interact with another person beside his usual way which is slaughtering them.

@@Kevmaster2000 Yes there are bad movies. Direction, acting and bad cinematography can definitely create an objectively bad movie (it can be so bad that it is still enjoyable though). Fair if you like the new one, it did try something new. However, the overall consensus is that it is a "bad" movie so it's somewhat fair to characterize it as such. It's not so much that film is subjective, but more that enjoyment is subjective

This one was alright, just in the fact that Michael Myers was at his most brutal throughout this movie as far as his kills go. The 1978 flashback was a nice fan service as well & kind of gave you a feel of the original Halloween & Halloween II movies. John Carpenter killed it on the soundtrack as well. Other than that it was less than average. The "evil dies tonight" at the hospital was lame & I hated that Michael killed off both Lonnie & Tommy Doyle. Having seen Halloween Ends last Thursday night, the "Halloween" franchise should've ended at H20 in 1998. That was the perfect way to end the "Halloween" story Anything after that was not needed & unnecessary. Halloween Ends proved that while completely undoing everything the 2018 direct sequel & this movie built up. Hopefully one day they'll restore the proper legacy of Michael Myers again.

@@jdrizzle96 Ends, being flawed as fuck and not a "good" movie, has more meat on its bones than halloweens kills, if kills didnt have the flasback sequence, it would be one of the worst movies of the last 20 years, with resurrection and the zombie ones. @@slowodanx I absolutely did not enjoy Ends, but found some, well enjoyment makes me sound like a serial killer, but I enjoyed the action in kills far more than Ends which made me like Kills more. Both are so bad though. No denying that.

Halloween 2018 is great. Halloween Kills is fine, dumb, but fine. Halloween Ends is by far my favourite and I am completely aware that is the opinion of the 0.0000001%. Just really vibed with the slow burn of it all. One constant though: the phenomenal score by the Carpenters! Fantastic stuff!

Mine goes 2018, Ends and then Kills. I actually just got around to watching ends last night and I really enjoyed it but 2018 is my favorite of the trilogy. I respect them doing a very different thing with ends and I actually didn't mind it.

I think Ends was an all round decent film, but as an installation to the franchise, and the end of a trilogy, I hated it

Judging by their confusion at the beginning I’m glad this continuity was my introduction to Halloween and I’m now going back to watch the rest

Most of their confusion came from the fact that they missed the title card for the flashback so they had no idea what that was even though its not hard to tell they are doing a flash back with the different lighting and filter for it and stuff.
