I hadn’t seen/heard that Media logo intro in so many years. Wow. Totally remember it, though. Watched my copy of this so many times. Wonder if it’s still at my parents’ house or if they got rid of it at some point.
The first releases didn't have a FBI warning screen, it just went from a color reel screen to the MEDA or MEDIA screen then to the movie. The 1980 Media release was just the MEDIA screen then straight to the movie, 1981 and later Media releases started the FBI warning screens.
Can only imagine what it would cost to find a first run Halloween on VHS. May have to sell the fillings in my teeth. People will charge outrageous inflated prices on even the most rarest of Blu-ray's. But yeah this took me back , thanks Horror Baby for Uploading.
@@reddirtchilis Kinda cool how you can actually get a copy on eBay for roughly a little less than what you would've payed for back then. Someone is selling a Media release of Halloween for $79
@@BonesBrigader it is. i have been on the fence but have been thinking of it for my birthday. i hear the biggest issue is play ability, but you kind of have to expect that from an older film like that. i saw a 97 remaster vhs that was still sealed, i think it was around the same price. but i'd rather have the media one(i'm sure that's generally true.) i have to agree with others here as well, vhs really is a very good way to watch the film and still holds up well IMOP.
This originally opened with the rare EBU color bars and then the 1978 MEDA logo and finally goes straight to the film. This has to be a reprint from about 1982 to 1984 with the 1981 Media logo and FBI screens. The original MEDA VHS release should’ve opened with this where it preceded the EBU color bars. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TdnvDDQwjJc.html
