But soon the road trip continues and turns into a beautiful winter fairy tale landscape. From places to St. Gilgen, Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang and Hallstatt.
When you make a road trip in winter through Austria. You can't miss Hallstatt with its salt mine and beautiful town. However, be aware. Hallstatt has a very overcrowded tourist problem so be respectful to all the locals.
There is nothing better than doing a road trip through Austria in winter. Even if you can't climb all the mountains.
