I've heard Kris' music for 50 years, in some form or another. It never gets old or boring or tiring. His persona is the same, but different, in every video I see. Age has nothing on that timeless face and voice. Love you Kris. And I think I caught a glimpse of Lisa as they were arriving. Thank you, Lisa, for your years of love and devotion which, I am sure, has had a lot to do with allowing us to enjoy his talents for so many glorious years.
Yes, K K is a legend!! One of the greatest artists and country singers of my younger days. Unbelievable great!! But, when a artist like K K sings a wonderful song with a young performer, I am sure he knows what he is doing (even without a group of idiots). The young singer is great and KK recognized this!!
This was when they still thought Kris had Alzheimer's. They finally diagnosed Lyme disease in early 2016. Treatment for the correct disease (and stopping treatment for what he didn't have) helped a lot, but the deficits in spatial sense and in transferring things from short term memory to long term memory are permanent. Fortunately, songs are stored in a separate part of the brain, so he was still performing until COVID hit. Kris is not cognitively impaired --- as you can see, he is still funny as hell -- but he has trouble remembering what he thought, so to a great extent he lives in the present. He does recall things through repetition, though. For example, when they did the celebration for him at the Bridgestone in 2016, the next day, he did not remember it. But after the dvd came out, it reinforced the concert in his memory.
