Years later, trying to get the 3 hours campaign achievement, this mission right here has so much RNG that this would just kill so many runs if you aren't using the absurd level skip on the elevator. You can have extra enemies follow you down. The brutes at the bottom can spot you early putting you into a death loop, killing you before you even land, enemies can spawn DIRECTLY next to you while you are down there (lol enjoy your quick and painful death), etc. This doesn't even talk about the spawn RNG of some of the rooms either. . .

@One Clunky GMT800 If your talking about the MCC Pc version the achievements are synced/shared with the console version of MCC. So if you already have it on console you won't have to do it again.

I managed to do halo ce, 3 and 4 in 3 hours, but this video made me realize, the halo 2 achievement will be locked forever

CosmicTwister H2 isn't too bad, a lot of the levels in Halo 2 are very skippable. Whether it's flat out skipping, or running past with Arbiter camo. My times are: Cairo: 13 minutes - A lot of running past sections w/o fighting enemies. Outskirts: 7 minutes - skipping 50% of the level with rooftop jumps + driving past all of the enemies in the tunnel/beach. Metropolis: 20 minutes - Skip the bridge and tunnel by driving through with a warthog. The Wraiths were the time consuming part for me. The Arbiter: 20 minutes - A lot of deaths between the Seraph room & Banshee. The Oracle: 25 minutes - I got the Heretic boss battle beaten very fast, and skipped the elevator fight. Delta Halo: 15 minutes - You can basically skip this entire mission. Regret: 28 minutes - A lot of luck here including a checkpoint during the Regret fight. I will never get a faster time here. Sacred Icon: 15 minutes - You can skip the entire level by running past flood w/ Camo. Quarantine zone: 12 minutes - Same as Sacred Icon. Gravemind: 1 hour - I did it w/o the despawning trick at the beginning. I need to get a better time here. Uprising: 2 minutes - I had the 3rd best time when this game came out. High Charity: 20 minutes - Trouble in the room after the elevator. Great Journey: 1 hour, 30 mins - Older time and I beat Tartarus w/o the banshee which is why it took so long. The only two levels that will be a challenge are Gravemind & Regret, and maybe The Oracle. Great Journey and Cairo Station are overrated missions in terms of difficulties. They have skips that make them 20 minute missions at most. Wait until you do LASO Halo 2. It took me 11 hours just to beat cairo, 2 to beat outskirts, and 3 hours to beat Metropolis.

Most of the levels really aren't that bad, over the last 2 days I've finished all levels and I'm on Gravemind as we speak. My total time for all missions bar Gravemind is 1:51:35, so as long as you can do the other missions to a decent standard you end up with so much time to get through Gravemind.

I don't know if it was because I was playing on normal, but I accidentally did the grav lift despawn(8:47). I came up the lift and just saw guns rain down from the sky. I ended up with 28:37! YAY!

Helpful video. Any chance you can elaborate on how to do the final door skip? I almost always kill the Elites, hunters, and brutes in the same order as you and it never lets me get the door open early. Do I need to get to the door in a certain time frame? Also would using the save/quit method still work if I can skip that final checkpoint? I have around 24 min to beat the horrible level after using all your videos and I REALLY don't want to have to do them over again. Please help T_T

CO-OP is definitely easier if your partner is good and they know what they are doing. Mainly because if you die in CO-OP you reset checkpoint but in solo it restarts the level.

Gravemind? LASO? Jesus fucking Christ. I'm assuming you did it with Envy? It's impossible without it, right?

When I say all skulls on I mean all skulls on. Had I known these skips and glitches I might have been able to clear the level. In fact some of the paths Naked took that didn't ultilize glitches I used as well. Needless to say I abused the fuck out of the cloaking ability. *sigh* Good times.

It feels a lot better to legitimately practice and beat something difficult. I've been doing these Legendary speedruns in mission order, and now on Gravemind, which I hope to complete in under 20 minutes. Why would players use Envy? I think 0.00x skulls nullify achievements

It cancels out the Par Score, Par Time (including Under 3 hrs) achievements. But it doesn't cancel out the Complete on Legendary achievement. I personally did it with Scarab skull. Lame, I know, but I needed a bit of brainless fun :).

Midnight Shades The Envy skull is just used by some speed-runners to bypass difficult situations, such as the beginning of Gravemind. Believe it or not, I've seen a few players use the Envy skull in their speed-runs.

I'm trying to do it again right now with MCC. Last time I beat Halo 2 on Legendary was when the OG Xbox was the only Xbox. It's harder than I remember, or I suck worse with my old man reflexes.

I rather re play dark souls ANY day of the week than play this glitched out game on legendary! Why did they add the stupid Iron skull?! And Why wont it count If you use scarab skull? ITS STUPID!

The problem with LASO is to me that you will have to play the campain over and over again. I can enjoy a campain 1 to 3 times but after that it just gets boring and i wont have a good time (with laso you will never have a good time) and Its not worth it imo. Hope halo 5 wont have any stupid achivements like laso.

@Jack Snyder one of the most useless pieces of advice you can give bro, literally everyone that's playing legendary NEED to learn this as the basic, also you're wrong about the non headshot capable weapons things you should do in legendary if you don't care to beating this level's par time: - use the noob combo when you can, but don't try it in sections where there's lots of weak enemies like grunts and drones, just use it on the elites, you can use on brutes too but most of the time a stick granade can do the trick, that or spam the carbine rifle on their heads like you're playing clicker games - practice granade throws, both frags and stick ones. frags are useful for distraction + minor damage + killing grunts, shielded jackals and even drones, and sticks are the ones that will instantly kill everything, so practicing it is very important - maintain your marines alive! instead of rushing through the level, it's better to take a slow approach and let your squad carry you to the final room, just give them beam rifles and try to maintain as many of them as you can alive, trust me, they help a lot. - non headshot weapons are a thing too! plasma rifles are essential for stunning the first 2 hunters and saving your marines, if you try to rush at them with a carbine, you CAN kill them, but you will lose all of your marines, so dual wield a brute plasma rifle (don't do it with the normal plasma rifle, or they won't get stunned) and get on their backs and ripfire like you're playing CoD, on co-op it's even easier if both of you carry at least 1 plasma rifle to this fight, then just pick up the 2 ones from one of the covenant's gun stand and just get on the back of the hunters, they will quickly die if you do that and wont even be able to move - Carbine is the main weapon you will use on this level, See that beam rifle over there? nope, it's useless, give it to your marines and they will one shot almost everything in their way, but remember: they still need protection and you to be nearby so they can follow your command, so don't leave them behind expecting them to catch up, be wise, and remember: Carbine, and nothing else - once you get to the later part of the level, pick up the fuel rod gun from the first grunt, it will make the final battle (and even clear the path to get to the last area in the first place) easier, just don't waste all the ammo, only use it on the real threaths like the group of brutes and elites, if you see them both fighting each other just use the carbine and take out the winning side until just one side remains then kill it, easy as can be. - after you get to the final corridor (the one before the last room with the breaking benjamin music) pick up an energy sword and (if you don't have yet) stick granades, if you can pick the energy sword up earlier in the level, it will help a lot, just don't throw your carbine away until you get to this part, the reason you should get the energy sword (even tho it's useless during most part of the campaign since it takes 3 hits to kill a single enemy, and meanwhile they just kill you in 1 punch) is because you're aiming for the white elites on that room, one of them carries a fuel rod gun, which is important for clearing the hunters on this section too, so here's how you should go: enter the room, go for the white elites, since they're fighting of the brutes, they won't care to attack you until you attack they, then aim on their backs and attack them, their shields will go down and they will do a scream, now during that scream, throw a stick granade directly on them, the reason you have to hit them with the energy sword is because the stick granade won't kill them unless their shield is down, and doing that with an energy sword is much easier than using a plasma pistol because there's a delay between the charged shots, meanwhile you can spam the energy sword on them and it's much faster, after you kill the 4 elites go grab fuel rod gun ammo and spam the shit out of the gun on both hunters, after that make sure to shoot some rounds on the brutes aswell, if you run out of ammo, pick up the carbine from one of the dead brutes, after that just hit the checkpoint and make your way through the last 4 elites and bam! level's done.

Best advice is just take you time and relax
