Halo 2 Mod - Grabbing The Outskirts Cutscene Scarab Gun 

Thank you for the comment, nice to hear. I don't have any time to make new videos these days but maybe that will change in the future. Taking control of the player during the cutscenes was a personal modding holy grail for me, it was awesome to figure it out.

@@DrBizz More globs of material added to the old globs you've never shown. Somehow, just before you said, "I won't play this game ever again", you're still playing. Never say, never again lol. Keeps me happy to watch your vids!

@@slobsky7237 Haha. Yeah, pretty much. I've had about 10 "last calls" so far. I'll get up off the couch and upload a vid every once and a while. Glad you enjoy it mate.

Yes, so it's scripted to fire but it also works normally after the scripted firing stops. Definitely, I've messed with the warthogs a lot in future clips I could show some fun stuff. Oddly enough the pelicans and scarab have no collisions but the hogs are normal.

@@DrBizz can't wait for your new vids. Maybe they don't have collision because they have a scripted action as part of the scene but the hogs kind of just drive

@@WarwickkkT101 Interestingly the hogs actually have a marine driver and are normal as far as collisions goes. I think the scarab and pelican don't have collisions maybe to simplify things during the cutscene and prevent unwanted bumping around and chaos. Or maybe it's less programming work.

Great Journey is the only exception where it isn't there, but yes for every other situation a handheld scarab gun appears floating and fires. Somehow for GJ Bungie did something different, I think anticipating it was too easy to grab the gun.

@@DrBizz Metro tank explosion is the same as TGJ. The charged shot from the front of the scarab works without a weapon. Any time it shoots continuously, instantaneously, it needs the PR

@@MisterMonopoli Hey man, ahh yes good point the charged shot on Metropolis is the same as Great Journey. What I find interesting is how Bungie actually attached the plasma rifle gun to the front of the scarab as you can see in my last clip here. Maybe the only situation where they did that?

@@DrBizz Yeah, this situation seems unique to cutscenes. Im pretty sure there is also a plasma rifle inside the turret that shoots in this same cutscene. Did you try grabbing one inside of that one? I might be misremembering a video though. And I think a BR on SI start cutscene too.

@@MisterMonopoli Oh damn, no didn't know if that was the case with the turret I'll look into it. They turn and shoot the pelican so it's at least not a floating gun/fixed situation. Yes on Sacred Icon, I did similar stuff grabbing that gun it's weird it's like a BR and plasma rifle combined. Vid on that too at some point.
