Playing as Chief and Aritber was incredible. It really made playing Co-Op with a friend enjoyable. Halo 5 on the otherhand completely got rid of splitscreen...
Not to sound cringey, But this intro will honestly live with me forever my dudes XD. It was spot on. Even got that audio stutter right after the bunji logo.
Looking and listening to the Halo 2 main menu is like looking back at a home you spent all your childhood in, and then coming back realizing it's abandoned (since the Xbox servers are shut down)
Hey, good news, with this program (I forget the name, google it,) you can play halo 2 online like the good old days. All you need is a pc and og Xbox along with halo 2.
Holy shit man, this hit me right in the nostalgia feels. I remember coming home from school in 2005 and 3 of my friends and we would play the SHIT outta this, but damn man this brought a tear to my eye... It's a shame though, Bungie made the mistake of selling they're only IP i'll ever love and play, Halo 4 and 5 just made me so upset because of how bad they were.
Duncan Games Same. I was young at the time so I would play the game with my brother and this game always gives me heavy nostalgia. It's so incredible how this game means something to everyone who played it.
Halo 4 was pretty trash. That was the game that really put the biggest dent in Halo's popularity after the decline that started during Reach. However, I don't feel that Halo 5 is that terrible. It's definitely a strong enough game to keep Halo on the map. Not my favorite, but I definitely enjoy playing Halo 5 for sure.
Let’s just hope 343 HEARD the public outcry and will hopefully make Halo 6 something worth buying and playing. God Halo 4 was horrible and I hate fighting promethians!
+Michael Edwards same....I still remember like it was yesterday when me and my friend went to buy copy of Halo 2 on its launch day and played it through Legendary the first time...and all those times we played multiplayer split-screen, all that laugh, screaming.... But those days are long past now, rarely even see these old friends of mine anymore, let alone do we play games together anymore =( Even with Halo 3, we never played it or liked it quite as much as Halo 2. But those rare times that we are able to spent more time together, then sometimes we still do play Halo 2 and I almost feel like 10 years younger again.
Although I didn’t own the original Xbox at the time, I was able to play Halo 2 on 360. At first I thought it was nothing special (no offense) but that was before understanding the story, gameplay, and lore behind it. It will no doubt be one of the greatest video games for the 6th generation of gaming and the one of the best video games of all time.
....why does this make me cry? it's like relaxing and sad in the same time. is that normal? or is it because i miss hearing that intro ever since halo 5?
I still vividly remember throwing the disc into my xbox on nov 9 2004 when I was 11 years old and hearing that screaming guitar intro on top of the original bungie intro and it just blowing my mind
i’ve been pretty burnt of from math(calculus 2) and I came across this video and jesus christ this hit every bit of nostalgia I needed. I remember how much i loved watching this game boot up. How much times were simpler especially back in 2005. I miss the memories, playing with my brother. Im 22 now, he’s 31. Thanks I feel better now
I legitimately almost cry watching this now. So much nostalgia. So much greatness. This was my first Halo game back in the day. It truly is one of the greatest video games of all time.❤
I honestly love that music you hear at the beginning. I restarted Halo 2 over and over just to show my parents that intro with the guitar and stuff. And, to get the full song in action, I played ‘The Heretic’ too. Prologue is one of my favourite gaming songs because of that.
This game started it all for me I remember when I was 4-5 I grew up playing this game because my CE was scratched and couldn’t play my favorite mission which was that one where ur on the beach for the first time or at least it looked like a beach anyway I grew up playing this gem and I can’t believe where it’s led me ever since I’ve found myself loving first person shooters and I’ve been streaming and making videos on gaming I never would’ve thought I’d be doing that 14 years later when I die I want someone putting my original halo 2 game copy next to my tombstone EDIT: also forgot to mention I want this halo 2 start up song to be played at my funeral also
Man, the excitement we all had building up to this games release was real. Hearing this reminds me of booting up my original copy for the first time after getting home from the store.
This brings back so many good memories, I remember playing this game to death with my family. Now I'm just happy to have the collection on xbox one. Seriously though, Master Chief needs to be in Smash.
I remember getting Halo 2 back in '04 at the age of 6. I just played the first one, and playing this one will always be one of the best times of my life.
I can’t help but tear up when I listen to this it brings back so many memories of playing with my cousins and trying to pass the story and play eachother in slayer it was great times
@@cerrtz5167 bro sorry i dont own a xbox....plus i play cracked games on my PC because games in our country is way too expensive for a kid like me to buy
I remember that time when we were doing LAN parties and championships in schools and on other countries. I was travelling far just to proove that I was the best at this game. I did won tournaments multiple times before. That pure good nostalgia was not because I was winning tournaments. It was because Halo 2 was my passion and playing with passion with the heart of a pure gamer who wants to improve can makes you doing incredible things.. I was 15 years old at this time. Now, I got 30 and I will never forget all the good times i've had in this game. I stopped playing others Halo after the 3 because, no halo games could be superior to this masterpiece.
My first halo games were 1 and 2. My favourite was Halo 3, and when I was 12 years old, i started playing Reach and, after that, remastered for Halo 1 and 2 came out. In my young adult years, i started playing the Master Chief Collection. Goes to show that time flies by real quick. Thank you, Bungie 🥹
I remember playing a tournament of Halo 1 all night before the release of this game! After the tournament ended we (Brother) went home opened the game (Legendary Edition) I believe. This was a favorite intro for me as well. Literally watched a few times until we fell asleep. Definitely Nostalgia ^.^
I played this game when I was 6 and always had the fun memory of playing split screen and co-op with my cousin and never played another game until I got my first xbox360 and the times I will always miss coming home and playing halo 2 every single day and now I'm 24 what a memory I have playing this game and life changes and we will always love you bungie thank for creating halo 2 for us and now we will miss you. 🥲💙🧡
My god...im so damn old. The nostalgia seeing this again, I was in 4th grade when this came out...the countless hours I've put into this and Halo 3 was insane.
Fun fact about this, the day before this released I sprained my ankle. It hurt like heck and I had to skip school for a day because of it. The next day me and my dad were going to do our usual co-op session with Halo CE. When the new intro and guitar riff happened I was like, “Wait did you change the music?” But then the title screen came up and I lost my shit. I was having a rough time my dad surprising me with this brighten my day brighter than the fucking sun, and we ended up doing the first few missions as Chief. It’s one of my favorite memories involving Halo.
Always remember the day my dad brought home an Xbox from the pawn shop and we played NCAA football and halo 2 together. He even brought home 3 the day it released and we stayed up all night and finished it. It was so fun playing together. I miss those times playing on that old wood encased TV with him. Hopefully infinite has gotten better and I can bring him back to playing halo together again.
You know some day, kids in the future are gonna come across Halo and ask us old people what it was, that's when I know it's time to tell a good ole story
I remember coming home from work and firing up my Xbox to get ready to play XBL with one of my good friends at the time. The first guitar rift when the Microsoft Studios was shown always got me pumped up to play.
Nomas me recordo cuando me la pasaba en el ciber jugando con bastante gente :"v ...es triste como pasa el tiempo y todo el olvido asi como asi y la verdad que se extrañan bastante esos momentos que fueron inolvidables una vez...
Men of culture. We find ourselves here reminiscing of a time which will never come again. Although sad, fear not, for we experienced it together, albeit from different corners of the globe. “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.”
My brother had the original Xbox when I was just a small child, and I'd play Halo 2 on it quite a lot. Of course I never played Halo 2 since he threw the xbox away in 2005 or something, so whenever I see or hear anything Halo 2 I remember my brother and our experiences. He killed himself in 2017, so my memories of Halo 2 are very emotional. Never completed the first mission though, since I usually dicked around in solo multiplayer. But still.
May of been a bit late to the party (played in 2010) but me and my brother on our old tv used to sit for hours a day playing halo 2 multiplayer and campaign and to think of how these games are today. Different worlds
It’s 2024 and tell me why I got flash backs of me playing halo 1 2 and 3 with my best friend in his tv ahh good old days wish we could re live our childhood once more
Got the master chief edition for the Xbox I only got an Xbox just to play this right here, I used to play this one with my cousin and halo 3 with my other cousin. We would be stuck in it, i remember all them times and now since I got an Xbox like a week ago i can relive my childhood games as a 23 year old .
