All these people saying "those were good times" What the hell do you mean WERE? You can still play this game today, why do they have to be memories: Make them a REALITY!!
They are nostalgic but we can always keep them fresh for new gens of gamers. Its why i intend to bring old games into my channel. Even if right now it needs a lot of work as do i. I am new to this yt thing after all.
@@TopDogAnubis9047 well if he's improved he shouldn't be staring at my screen looking for me... Like a cheater. (Low key I did it too but that's not the point)
I used to count the hours at school until I could go home and play this game back in 2005 with absolutely no worries in the world except being a kid and surviving through school. I would do absolutely anything to go back to those days and relive them in real time, the nostalgia hurts so incredibly much. We never knew how good we had it until it was gone. Imagine being any one of these developers, artists, writers, musicians etc. involved with this series in its prime. I hope you all know how much of an impact you made on my life and the lives of millions of other people.
Whenever I think of Halo, I think of the music. This track in particular. It just captures that sense of mystery and exploration so well. Cortana explaining the Covenant leadership while you're in an underwater elevator with this music in the background is peak Halo. It really doesn't get any more Halo than that. Maybe that's why my mind goes to this song immediately as soon as I think of Halo. Ah to be that kid who got home from soccer matches every saturday with my buddy, eating fries and playing this game until we fell asleep. I miss those days. Now we're grown men, all of us. Probably a lot of us in our late 20's/early 30's. Some of us will have families. Others will have left this world and most are probably somewhere in between in this crazy world, but we'll always have those memories of sitting back behind the ol' CRT on the original Xbox and playing some Halo on a rainy day, safe at home with our parents doing their parental stuff 🥲
This song hits different when you take a moment to remember your halo reach playthrough. Always reminds me a noble team, the halfway mark when the drums kick in reminds me they died to give humanity hope. And that chief is gonna kick some alien butt with a scorpion tank.
"I've intercepted a secure transmission from Regret's carrier to something called "High Charity". It seems to be a formal apology to the prophets of Truth and Mercy. Apparently, Regret jumped the gun when he attacked Earth. He's asking the other prophets to "forgive his premature arrival," arguing that "no human presence was foretold." That explains why there were so few ships in his fleet. But it's odd that a Prophet would have such bad intel about his enemy's homeworld". Cortana
Regret's carrier just received a response from High Charity; a very well encrypted message from the Prophet of Truth.... Listen to this: "Your haste has jeopardized the fulfillment of our Covenant, threatened our grand design. That you shall be spared a public display of our contempt is thanks only to Mercy and his wise counsel (or "council," could be either)."

Listen to this, 'Your haste has jeopardized the fulfillment of our Covenant, threatened our grand design. That you shall be spared a public display of our contempt is thanks only to Mercy and his wise counsel.' Truth, Mercy, Regret. Three prophet hierarchs. Killing Regret should shake up Covenant leadership. But, frankly, it sounds like you might be doing Truth a favor."
@@theunderdog9353 Same as the existence of every random Rebel on the ship that got the plans to Leia, even the most minor actors play integral parts if you look beyond the obvious.
Ghosts of Reach is supposed to referrence the Fall of Reach and the impact an event had for Humanity: Reach was the closest Human Colony World to Earth, where the candidates of the SPARTAN-II and SPARTAN-III Programs were trained at. Reach was the single largest UNSC Military Command Center during the Human-Covenant War. And despite all that: Reach fell. If not for the Pillar of Autumn making the Slipspace Jump to Installation 04 and dragging the Fleet of Particular Justice behind it that led to the Battle of Installation 04 where John-117 fought against the Covenant, the Flood, and the Monitor in charge of Installation 04 that led to the destruction of the majority of the Fleet of Particular Justice and the destruction of Installation 04 before it was activated: had these afforementioned events not happened, Humanity would have no hope at all of survival. The Ghosts of Reach are those that survived the Fall of Reach by the skin of their teeth.
at first this song makes me yearn for the past. for that nostalgia. but in the middle when the drums kick in i know that i must move on in the future and continue creating new memories
This track is so underrated I'm playing space engineers right now building a Paris class frigate hopefully and this music fits the viibe lmao thnx martin odonnel and Steve vai x3 along with all the other musicians who made music for this game
Halo's choir music always kind of sounds "metallic" to me for some reason and it just fits the atmosphere of Halo so goddamn well. I have a lot to say about the Halo TV show but the biggest gripe I have with it is that they just refuse to use anything other than Halo's main theme, even though it has such a vast and rich OST
