I made a relaxing ODST mix to help me fall asleep, thought i'd post it here for anyone who might find it helpful. Throw us a like and consider subbing if this took you back to dropping into Mombasa streets for the first time :)
Huge thank you for blowing up this video and my channel everybody! Sus the 100 Subscriber Special! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JxMO-327hws.html
as kids my brother and i played halo 3 odst together before we would go to school when we became adults my brother got very sick and before he died we played one last game of odst i imagine slowed odst songs are his requiem
We lost a brother, a fighter, a veteran... We never lost his spirit or his courage, the fight must keep on going and we must win for the lives taken! Long live Reach!
Nice ODST music, listening while checking the news on Marty O’Donnell channel that he’s getting sued again by 3 gaming corporations he worked long ago, hope Marty can stay strong, his music is amazing along Michael Salvatori.
Unfortunately, it seems that Marty has done himself no favors over his career. Even back in the OG Bungie days, Marty apparently was an egotistical bully. The man's music (alongside Michael Salvatori's) is in my opinion some of the finest music ever composed period. The man behind the music, however? Different story, and that's a shame.
While it makes me extremely sad to hear this it also brings back amazing memories from when I prowled the abandoned streets of New Mombasa searching for the next piece of the puzzle and fighting off the covenant as a one man army
Thanks for sharing this. I love hearing about peoples experiences with this game. The music is very sad yeah, but I think what makes it beautiful is that there's always a tinge of hope and desperation in the songs. Hope that the Rookie will make it out alive in the end, and he ultimately does :)
@@BADSOI yeah you're right and if you would like to know more experiences then you can ask anytime. I'm actually playing ODST again right now on mcc I've fallen in love with this soundtrack once again and all I can say is that "it was one hell of a night"
0:00 Deference for Darkness 5:40 Asphalt and Ablution 12:05 Neon Night 19:45 Bits and Pieces (my favorite in any ODST track list or style) 24:13 No Stone Unturned 28:11 One Way Ride 31:26 The Light at the End (this one is dope, too)
This is giving me memories of back when I would be playing this at the end of school nights for an hour or two... Campaign, firefight with the lads... Very fun times.
I really want an open world halo game just a tad bit more realistic. I'd love to hop in a warthog with some friends and charge a covenant base. Or take control of a pelican and evac just as the planet gets glassed.. So much potential
I always think halo should have more marine/odst offshoots like first alien covenant contact on a remote planet with minimal unsc presence and its burtal af surviving to the last man desperately trying to get the word out. Maybe saved at the end by an action or call for help. The last parts in reach where you are alone, and in odst walking mombassa at night capture a side games rarely can achieve.
I remember that night the night I was also separated from my squad and then I meant Another ODST who went by the name rookie he was looking for his squad too so i agreed to help him first so we searched for his squad and kept finding hints of what they were doing and went throughout the city so we kept going and going fighting every member of the covenant we even saw elites fighting them but they also open fire on us so we had no choice but to poor anything we had into them either our own weaponry or covenant even both and we kept sneaking past patrol after patrol keeping the lookout for snipers it was the most intense thing we went through but was it the scariest hell no there was this one sergeant who told me about fighting these parasitic creatures on a ring world that happened months ago and I thought to myself it was definitely better for us to go through this than what that man went through which sounded like the scariest Hellish thing a person of any race could go through it scared of the shit out of me and I couldn't believe it at first until it was logged into the Unsc database and the only reason I know this because I am also oni best agents especially those who are allowed to go to the midnight facility that kept one of the most dangerous prisoners of all time and I was wondering if that place was attacked by the covies as well but I had to keep my head screwed on tight to help the rookie rendezvous with his team while on our way to the last few pieces of the puzzle I found my squad and I was relieved to know they made it was I surprised no because these boys are the best of the best like myself and the rookie and I've seen hell throughout the entirety of this war against these alien Nazi like bastards as we found the last piece of the puzzle we then engaged a brute pack led by a chieftain but like all the others they were eventually defeated and their asses hit the ground and then I gave him my thanks for keeping me alive to find the rest of my Platoon so we shook hands and then he went down the elevator shaft to find Captain Veronica dare deep under the city whatever was down there had to be there objective as for us our objective already went out of the city and her name is sadie endesha I knew this because I kept finding all these recordings throughout new mombasa and it revealed of what happened to her so we eventually found our way out of the city by hijacking a squad of banshees and went to make sure the covenant didn't kill the woman who could be one of humanities last best defense and that was the end of our long hellish night I still can't believe we pulled that off in deep enemy controlled territory I mean we have went through this but it was always together being separated from my team was one of the most worst scariest things I ever felt and I'm glad I found them all alive with the help of a rookie who should be more than a rookie and how every rookie should be like sure they may be young but that's no excuse to not be a badass because this kid knew what the military expected out of him instead of a big fucking baby which he proved that he would not end up like that and get shot by a pathetic grunt with a needler he was one of the best damned heros of all time right alongside master chief and many others and I can't believe he's now dead I am wirrting this log to honor one of the best friends I have ever had and to remind people what it takes to be best of the best and never forget them this is lieutenant Colonel Arnold signing off.
My brother put the original song on a rainy night. And I couldn't tell if it was raining outside or if it was the song. I will try this song out when I'm going to bed. Hopefully, it will trick me into thinking it's raining outside.
Babe wake up, new BADSOI video... Dude legit you are like one of my favorite music/lofi/halo related channels right now, I love your stuff so much I got an entire playlist of it. Keep the content rolling 'cus I'm here for it man, have a great day.
Sometimes communities like these really make you see unity in emotion. ( I'll try not to write an essay ) This music was designed for a specific emotion as is the majority of music.. but this isn't just music it's atmosphere it's when you know you're in the eye of the storm, peace in war. I wish more games had that type of feeling y'know.. there's something so surreal about halo's music..that just.. hits different.
I remember playing this with my order brother or more like watching him play it. Great memories simple times back then wish I could go back wish i could take back wanting to grow up already felt I grew up too fast and this game is kind a reminder of that love the game but god it makes me cry thinking about it
I’m at a loss for words, I cannot yet entirely explain how this made me feel, thank you BADSOI I appreciate every second of this video it definitely helped me remember a few wonderful moments of my childhood.
This is so useful, it's helped me in a lot of situations, (relationship wise) and has been able to calm me down, whenever. Good Job! You just earned yourself a sub!
I hope this blows up soon this is just incredible. What makes it so good is that it isn't just another slowed version, there's a different feel and tone to this one. You can tell significant work has been done to change it up, awesome work my guy!
This... There is no words that can describe what I am feeling listening to this. Not only is ODST my favorite halo game not just because of it's story and characters, but for how good of a soundtrack it was. The perfect mixing of jazz and piano, to a very familiar vibe halo gave, was to me a great thing Bungie did. To hear it slowed down like this? It's how Rookie's death should've sound like if it ever was animated. And for me to hear it? Sounds depressing but relaxing. If you could get these tracks out separately, that is if you want to do that, would be amazing. But this playlist is still great, would definitely use this while I'm writing or just walking in the streets at night. I never thought I would need a slower more grave tone Neon night. Now I'm addicted. Congratulations and very good work.
*Begining audio log - "Farewell."* "Need a light?" "Yeah, got one." "Thanks. That girl... You knew her?" "Wife." "She'd be proud of what you did back there." "Just wish she'd lived." "Don't we all... Just don't die over it." "I'll try. Too much shit going on to." "You did your best, soldier. Go home and rest, take a breather. You've earned it." *End of audio log.*
Man I would always play this game with my friends I never had someone to vent to or cry to I always wanted to play games with my dad but he never had time for me my mom never really got me. So I had to turn toy friends they were the only ones that supported me. But now that group of 8 is just down to me and 2 other friends but I couldn't be happier with them! Still I wish I had parents that actually spent time with me
Amazing as always BADSOI. :) The start your remix of Deference fot Darkness was... Wow. It was great. The rest of it was also really good, the usual. This mix is my new favorite from you. It's even better than the rest. Can't wait to see what's up your sleeve for later ;D
This is so nice listening to and it’s oddly calming. The reverb is different to its original but it’s beautiful. I’d be having this on during sleep. Thank god I’m here lol
Feels like some shit off resident evil lol the vibes be real like inside of a saferoom free from fear as the rain hits the window and you check your stash.
Cuzz I truly don't know, I've tried disabling ads on my end in the YT creator app but no luck. I'm not even getting any type of revenue from it and there are no copyright strikes on the video. I truly have no idea sorry friend 😔
do you want me to commit suicide. ODST songs sound so legendary, lonely... with rain even more... slowing them down they sound good... can you post a link to download it? I liked your work.
