This is the best cutscene in Halo. For a moment, you’re feeling victorious as you think the war is about to end. Watching the UNSC fly overhead and unleash its fury at the artifact. You think this is your finest hour…until you realize the artifact is undamaged. And then it opens a portal and Truth and the brutes escape. Just before you can go after them, THE FREAKING FLOOD reappears out of nowhere and is reintroduced into the game. It’s very fitting as to how the mission is called “The Storm” as a use of foreshadowing. Whenever there’s a storm, there’s a flood. God, I miss Bungie!
