After the events of halo 1st strik they were separated from him for such a long period that they would do anything to stay with him. He's their "older brother" in a sense
Fred touching Chief like that is pretty cool, it’s weird I know but everyone walks around him and stares. I get it’s out of respect and because he’s a freaking walking legend but it just shows that Blue Team is a family. Little subtleties like that do not go unnoticed 343!
Yeah, I think it’d be hard for them to hold him on such a high pillar, since they basically grew up together. They survived the Spartan 2 program and worked together almost the entire time. Hell, they were together on their first mission against the Covies.
@@R0gueM yeah even when Fred outranks John he always let's John lead the way and tell him what to do because these 4 know each other so well and know what they are all good at. like in the books when John picks up a sniper rifle and immediately tosses it over to linda.
They even talk in the books about how big of a deal it is for Spartans to make any physical contact with each other because of the armor and their augments. Almost all communication including emotion is done through hand signals. So pretty significant moment.
@Harris Fu Only real problem they'd have is buck and that's only when considering MC and Linda. Kelly and Fred would mop the entire squad with some difficulty, albeit not as much.
Well linda got beat by sgt Johnson in a training exercise, but Linda was 15 at the time. Source silent storm. But Jun was Also trained by kurt 051 and kurt said that jun was the best sniper he's ever seen. But that's just his opinion.
Chief could tell blue team they are going to kill evil Santa and they would follow him. He is their brother they would believe anything he told them cause they know chief doesn't lie

They don’t even call him John in the books. Not since he got promoted to Master Chief, while they are on Duty they call him Chief. I think they’ve called him John when they were in casual conversation between missions in Halo First Strike.
