Its what I've been saying for so long. Halo 5 feels and so much more impactful. Soooo satisfying to get a kill. Infinite has fun mechanics but feels so wonky
@@NETIERRASas the other comment wrote, that is true. And not onñy that, very injustify cuz H5 did not had so mano features like infinite, but 343 added them later and in short time that nobody remember that part of the game historia (even Mint say it, in the video)
@@scpgamer Are there any games on OG Warzone these days? It was absolutely wonderful. Last I checked even Warzone Firefight was difficult to get a game in anymore. Hell any Big Team mode throughout the franchise is difficult to get a matchmade game in (except Infinite BTB). And on the rare occasions I do get a game, it's full of people who really haven't stopped playing since forever and my team either gets trashed or wins nearly by default with a core detonation 3 mins in. P.S. I live in Hong Kong, so I get that finding games is naturally more difficult, but I am already on expanded region search.
It's a good idea on paper, but integrating Halo 5 into MCC would be a tall order. The collection's already held together by duct tape as it is, it's not as simple as copy/pasting it in and it magically working. Not to mention it'd more than double MCC's file size. They may as well make Halo 7 instead for how much work it'd take.
@@Synergy7Studiosyes thank you someone else gets it! Keep Halo multiplayer the way it was in the glory days before it started to change with Reach. Reach wasn’t a bad multiplayer for Halo but that’s when it started to go in the wrong direction. Halo Infinite is returning it back to what it was which is why I love the multiplayer the most since Halo 3.
@@PinkJediJoe No it won't. People have been saying Halo 5 's mechanics were amazing since it released, and more people realised it over time. Nobody said that for Infinite.
Halo 5 was the most fun I had with halo since reach. It’s such a shame most people couldn’t look past its bad story and rough launch, because its sandbox was amazing.
Even after watching you play I feel h5 multiplayer looks and feels more “complete” and rewarding than infinite. I’ve always struggled to find a reason to play Infinite but H5 the gameplay alone was enough.
H5 multiplayer has to be a 8/10 for me. -1 point for the gatcha armour unlock system / pay-to-win warzone -1 point for the custom game / content browser. Was hard to find a custom game that didn’t kick u for network errors or lobby being full, and when hosting its hard to find the gamemode designed to make the custom map work. Otherwise, H5 multiplayer was the first halo game i started playing with Xbox live, so its a special place for me. Up until then I’ve just been playing offline Halo Reach (mostly forge and firefight)
I would give the multiplayer a 9/10. I've been playing the multiplayer with my brothers for years now and I absolutely love it. While RNG can be annoying for req packs I do still enjoy using reqs and opening them. I genuinely believe that Halo 5 has the best headshot sound of all time in any game. Every kill is so rewarding and if you're not looking for a PvP fight you can always try the PvE firefight which I have so much fun playing. This game is absolutely slept on and it'd be great to see more people start playing it. Thanks Mint!
All the weapons in halo 5 felt amazing and I could reliably use each weapon. I love the game and still to this day is my most played halo game. Halo 5’s multiplayer is a solid 8.8/10
That click when you get a kill was always so satisfying. Shoutout to the sound designers for that one! As for a ranking, just talking about multiplayer gameplay (not the loot boxes), 11/10
The devs of this game deserve an apology for the amount of hate this game gets. You can clearly see how much love was put into this game. Was it perfect? No, but it had a vision and it stuck to it. They took risks, they gave us something new, and they clearly enjoyed doing it. The multiplayer is genuinely a blast, Warzone is peak pve and I’ll die on that hill. Hell, I even enjoyed the campaign and I know the Halo 5 hate cult will come after me for saying that but the campaign was genuinely fun. The story has some level of continuity with the previous game even if you had to play spartan ops to know exactly what was going on. They took some big risks and they definitely went too far in some places but it wasn’t out of malice or stupidity I genuinely think they were just a little misguided. And despite the sloppy writing, I think I see what they were trying to do. Cuz the story had potential, and I was looking forward to what would come next. Then Infinite ruined the entire series with it’s lazy, “resolve everything offscreen” bulshit.
i very much feel the same, i think the devs actually had fun making 5 and it turned out to be really good. obviously it was just stuff like the story that held it back but even then i was still hyped to see where it went, and immediately disappointed by infinite. honestly it is ridiculous how infinite gets praised for feeling "more halo" yet worse in nearly every other aspect of the game. halo 5 devs totally deserve an apology.
Halo 5 multiplayer was really special. I was really hoping Halo Infinite supported a "halo 5 style" playlist. It's a shame this game was clouded by the campaign and poor Xbox One gen. It did launch pretty bare bones, but the support for this game was amazing.
@@yodaddyrc1220 I do sometimes! I like the modern conveniences Infinite adds like FOV and higher frame rates. Going back to H5 is pretty jarring, but I like the gun fight loop a lot. I just think limited time H5 mode would be fun in Infinite every now and then. Just like they have done in previous games with limited time Classic playlists. I really like Infinite the way it is, but ways to toggle on/off previous game traits for custom games would be neat.
Yeah, a lot of people can say what “it’s always been loved” but I remember how rough it was, a bunch of people in my circle just couldn’t enjoy it over the years. The movement and speed in the game was crazy for Halo. Hyper competitive, spawn killing, less Halo like gameplay. The loot box system. The warzone firefight was the best part of the game and came out after launch lol.
Halo 5 was better at literally everything than Halo infinite. so i am bold enough to say even the story was better than infinties which says something.
one overlooked facet of halo 5 was that the forge and customization were vast that it spawned a new basis of clan kids and RP'ers in custom games. (Which i was embarrassingly apart of). Think one clan building a base and inviting another to come and try to take it, with rp drama and all that. I just don't see any game including infinite giving that level of player freedom anymore.
9/10 for me I really enjoy it but don't get me wrong I've been playing halo for 17 almost 18 years now and grew up on the classics of CE, H2, and H3, but H5 honestly is my favorite game. Sure it has areas to improve but its still my favorite with infinite falling to 2nd, Halo wars 1 to 3rd, Halo 4 tied in 4th with Reach, Halo 3 in 5th, Odst and Halo wars 2 tied for 6th and Halo CE and 2 tied for 7th.
I have a weird relationship with Halo 5. I complained a lot about it when it came out, but it's probably my 2nd most played Halo game. It was my first halo to come out that I had played since its launch year and I remember the updates well. I really had a lot of fun with it in retrospect.
I think choosing H5 over a CE remake is a bit bold, however I would love to see either its multiplayer return, or some mechanics be implemented into CE remake. The built in dash and mid air hover felt amazing.
I grew up on the halo five multiplayer because of my Dad. He played for so long he had three accounts for it. I still get good memories from it. love the game 10 out of 10
H5 multiplayer was my absolute favorite multiplayer out of all Halo games. So damn good! With 343 remaking HCE in UE along with the new halo game, it’s my hope that they will recreate all the Halo games in UE and turn Halo into one massive interconnected Halo experience. Use the collection concept of MCC along with what they wanted to create with Infinite and create a truly cohesive and Infinite Halo experience.
Great video, Mint! The games were a ton of fun! Last night was the first time I worked out the bugs and tried Halo 5 on PC and MAAAAAN! It is so much better than the OG Xbox One experience! I have been missing out! I'd love to see this game get ported to Steam and make a resurgence. The multiplayer is a solid 7-8 out of 10. Just needs custom controller mapping, better KBM options, and have the server stability improved. Thank you for hosting those games! It was a ton of fun and super cool to run some games with you and GrenadeQueen! You both are super cool people! Best of luck on the grind, my man!
If they port Halo 5 on PC (I know there is already the forge) nobody's gonna stop me playing that game, it's just so much fun, I play it once in a while on my Xbox One, but I moslty use my PC so it'd be amazing being able to play it there
You are now favorite halo content creator. I always watch your videos on RU-vid to stay updated on what it happening with halo. You are a legend in the halo community.
Remy. My buddies have returned to halo 5 as it is a complete fun game. The guns have purpose and the maps are memorable. The game is a solid 9 and It is fun, enjoyable and a perfect competitive shooter.
I played halo 5 for hours and hours, even when everyone left it for good (reasons). I never played rank but husky raid, Breakout 1.0, Super Fiesta and sometiems even Warzone was cool. But what made it cooler was the custom game browser. 343 could rebrand it, polish it and release it as a standalone FPS games, that could work well. EDIT: Someone mentioned Infection, and it's far, far better than Halo Infinite's. There were maps where you could use objects at your advantage, like in Reach.
I think by now it is common sense by the communtity that Halo 5 is a fantastic game. The multiplayer still feels fresh and fun almost ten years later. Only the campaign lets it down.
10/10 It is so fun. I don't know why but playing with snipers feels awesome, I'm terrible with snipers but I'm proficient enough to get a double kill on this game
At this point I may as well return to Halo 5. Customization is good, content is excellent, and I already have everything unlocked just by playing the game.
Breakout was an awesome game mode. Something fresh to the halo games. I honestly was waiting to see it in infinite. Fingers crossed it's in the new halo game. Ps bring back assassinations.
I played H5 competitively in AUS for almost a year. Had a good team and lots of fun. Took one game off BBR ;). H5 multiplayer was a huge improvement on the Reach and H4 debacle. H5 pistol worked. Maps were still a small problem. Warzone was always fun to jump into. H5 competitive community died after 1y. PUBG came along. @MintBlitz Have ever attended GoSolid Lan in Melbourne or was this before your time?
I SO wanted to join this since I have never experienced Halo 5 multiplayer, but it was 4am in England when this started I understand optimising for US timing, not much that can be done about it
Probably like an 8/10, I never understood the hate for Halo 5 multiplayer, campaign wasn't great, but multiplayer I put tons of hours into, and really enjoyed it. I know it felt different from other Halo games, but it sure was fun in its own unique way.
As someone who is a PC player, halo 5 was very elusive to me until late last year, where I streamed the campaign and played some multiplayer on twitch. If I had to rate it, it'd be a 7/10 because A. It's not on PC officially, 2, lack of variety in armour, and •loot boxes
10/10 I spent over $300 on req packs and over $400 on controllers to play Halo 5 for peak dopamine. Infinite makes me think I will never spend money on Halo again.
Really enjoyed Warzone Firefight. Could have used the flying bugs, Hornets, Falcons. Seraphs, Spectres, Prowlers, Scarabs, and Prophets though. Also no idea why the Warzone maps aren't in Forge.
