@@joederp5940 I liked the passive heal mechanic from Reach, but in infinite, honestly there isn't much to try to change the elites hp/shield mechanics
At this point, yeah I think it is too much to ask. 343 have spent the last 2-3 games making this blatantly apparent. They don't care for fans that don't blindly agree with everything that 343 does. They even sick the "pro gamer" shill squad on you to let you know that if you want Sangheili back then you're opinion is in the minority so it's not important. They only care about making Halo into diet-Call of Duty, and focusing on ridiculous Multiplayer competitive selling points. Top that off with taking out features that have been there since CE, like armor customization, and then take a look at their abhorrent lack of any story-telling skill, etc. The list of "Why 343 is incompetent" just keeps going, like the Energizer bunny. 343 has always had their own vision for the franchise, and if you don't agree with their vision, you are not a priority for them.
YES!!!! The perfect chance to really capture the true scale of Halo battles! We’ve got the engines and tech to do it! Mass amounts of vechicles, hundreds of players and NPC’s all fighting like hell over objectives or territory to win.
Hear, hear. Let us take our plasma rifles that actually work or the one non-crappy, non-beam-rifle covvie precision weapon that has ever existed, and furthermore let us customize them like we could in Halo 4 (I genuinely miss my old UNSC-paint-scheme'd covvie carbine). All the new weapons in Halo Infinite look like the "at home" version of a weapon that's already existed, and I hate that so much.
i wonder if 343 isnt adding them, bc they know how desired it is, and prey on the hope of fans to keep them going back to their microtransaction ridden heretical version of halo
@@alexanerose4820 Really,is that a thing to ask? I don't love them,as a matter of fact i only see them as a target and nothing more. Stop assuming everyone likes those damned things, such a narrow view point.
Imagine if in Infinite’s campaign, along with meeting up with the marines, you also team up with surviving Swords of Sangheilios with the Arbiter as a second player character.
I was really upset when I realized allied Elites weren't making an appearance in the campaign. Would have loved to see how the banter between marines and elites has evolved.
Completely agree with this. I think playable elites were a staple for halo ever since their introduction. I’m just confused on why 343 doesn’t want to introduce them, when they could very easily monetize them. They could have an elite core, where you could purchase elite armor and coatings or whatever, along with being able to customize banished weapons like how you can with UNSC ones, lol. I don’t quite understand 343’s reasoning that halo is a “spartan story”, when there is so much more to the halo universe, lol.
@@youtubedeletedmynamewhybotherIt's pathetic to think about, Microsoft's most recognized IP has an equivalent budget of 5 bucks. I love both Sony and Microsoft games, but man. Microsoft seems to really not want to stand out, like at all. Halo as an IP has just been dragged through mud. Gears of War has seen similar muted reception. It just oozes corporate to me, lack of passion to make art but make a quick buck
If anything, Gears of war got an even shitter end of the stick. They fu cked the franchise and let it rot. Atleast they feed Halo some adrenaline here and there to resuscitate its corpse to endure more torture. @@JuiceboxCE
An advantage of having elites be excluded from ranked is that you also don't have to try to fit them to the same silhouette as Spartans. They wouldn't have to hunch over and look strange like they did in Halo 3
Imagine being able to pick the variations from each Halo game like different art styles. Like Halo 3, Halo reach, Halo 4. And that's not even including armor yet
PLAYABLE ELITES, ASSASSINATIONS, and BETTER SERVERS are my top three needs at the moment. I hope we get better customization options in the future as well.
And don’t forget to make the game M Rated again, i feel like keeping the franchise family friendly is holding it back so much, halo was never a game meant for kids anyways
My DREAM Halo Infinite season (before the narrative cutscenes were cancelled) was to get a Swords of Sanghelios themed season. This would be a season that reintroduces Rtas 'Vadum (or The Arbiter, but I do think Arbiter should be saved for campaign) as a commander of the Swords of Sanghelios that arrives at the Academy to call upon the Spartans to help them fight the Banished. We would get some lore and exposition explaining the SOS's current status with their battle against the Banished (and maybe even remaining Covenant remnants) and explain what the Arbiter has been up to since Halo 5 (in-game). This season would introduce playable elites, new Covenant/Banished weapons (Fuel Rod, Plasma Rifle, Needle Rifle, etc.), Banished weapon customization that adds Covenant colors, Banished vehicle customization with classic Covenant coatings and models, and maybe even a new vehicle (Revenant, Spectre, Anti-Air Wraith). The menu would show Spartans and Elites standing side by side at either the Academy or aboard a Swords of Sanghelios cruiser/carrier. Ideally this season would be added after Firefight or another PVE mode were already in the game so the main objective of the season would be to help the Swords of Sanghelios carry out their plans against the Banished. I can dream.
I know we get memed on a lot, but I always loved playing Elites. I'd probably say because the Arbiters story spoke to me a lot as someone who was dealing with questioning religion when I was old enough to start really thinking about the story of Halo 2. While I like my spartan in infnite, I alwyas felt more connected to Elites because of that.
@@Codreanu_Prezent learn your own book ‘I am a stranger and an alien residing among you; give me property among you for a burying place, so that I may bury my dead out of my sight.’ Genesis 23:4 You shall also love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. Deuteronomy 10:19
I think multiplayer being canon has ruined so much fun multiplayer used to have. Now everything needs to make sense with the lore instead of just being fun. And for the love of god, Halo is not just a "Spartan story"... Great video as always! ❤
I thought that was the most stupidest decision they made was to make multiplayer Canon because my main problem with it is what has my Spartan been doing besides train?? nothing, that's not cool or interesting 🤦🏾
I don't understand why they felt like they had to make the multiplayer canon. I want the locations to be in universe obviously, but I don't need an explanation as to why the red guys and the blue guys are fighting for a patch of dirt.
I would want playable Elites cause they're my favorite design. But I would like to see playable Brutes too, especially if we could get chiefton armor. I probably would easier to add Brutes cause their structure is similar to humans.
Cannot describe how much I want playable elites back! Used to perma play as elites back in H3. Completely understand why elite character models wouldn't be suitable for a competitive game mode, but I'd adore seeing them in social games again!
I like how you provided a solution to balance problem for multiplayer. I think they should return as core and future story telling. 343 could definitely use them as a real cash cow while making the community happy
I don’t like playing as elites but I always loved having other players play as elites. Player expression is important even if it’s not about what you specifically want to use. I personally blame Bungie for changing how playable elites worked in Reach which led to 343 thinking it can’t be done right
@@JumpingJiraffe Honestly, Halo 2 already was the perfect example. Yes they didn't have any armor customization, but neither did Spartans at that point in time. If you want to talk about Spartan and Elite equality, no game has ever topped Halo 2 to this day. (Halo 3's armor selection massively favored Spartans and Halo Reach's discrepancy was even worse.) The main problem was that Halo 3 made them extra hunched over because of this "balance first" mentality (which ironically fucked them,) Elites in Halo 2 were a bit bigger than Spartans, but it also barely mattered.
There is a lot of things added in season 5 but I agree Elites should come back only on social modes not ranked. Also they should implement two matchmakings Universal/Social - Allows all Species and cores to be playable (SBMM is toned down) Spartan - only Spartans are playable in the matchmaking SBMM is apparent With all cores added they should be in social and firefight modes and then again the option for, Spartan vs Enemy. If they are gonna do non-human cores elites should be priority number one all the other cores will be complimented and people Will connect and play with their favourites species. Only Halo could pull that off, it’s up to the new 343 team if the wanna surpass Old Bungie and their Standards.
As someone who prefers to play as robots wherever possible and love the 343 unsc robot design I think Elites should absolutely take priority. I really wanted playable promathean soldiers in halo 5 and then infinite and they even fit the body type of Humans even then once again elites should have taken priority.
Even though I've stuck to playing as a Spartan all these years, it always felt nice to fight not only against Elites, but alongside them as well. It really felt like a breath of fresh air and made the game's customization that much more memorable. I feel like there's literally NOTHING to lose if they get added again, as long as they get axed from ranked like you mentioned. TLDR; I'm down for them to return.
Halo 2 has been the best halo i ever played and the biggest part was the interweaved stories of arbiter and master chief and playing the contrast of perspectives as they converge
I would love for playable elites to come back. I almost always played as them in halo 3, 2, and reach. Also they are awesome characters in halo campaign
I think playable Elites will come back. 343's entire upper staff has been replaced by the people who fixed Halo MCC, and from what ive heard, earning cosmetics in that game is way more about game challenges and performance, rather then microtransactions. I believe they will be brought back, its such an easy way to win back good faith. Also, there is no actual evidence for a Robot Core. I wish there was, but honestly theres none. Also, Halo 5 increased the importance of the Elites was increased dramatically, they were given so much cool stuff there, the Swords of Sanghelios, Arbiters new Armor which looks incredible, SoS fighting other post-Covenant armies like the Storm Covenant, Keepers of the One Truth, etc and its sad, because originally, Halo Infinite was going to start on Sanghelios with the UNSC and SoS fighting off the Created!
Every couple of videos you make about halo I find myself thinking "thats exactly what ive been thinking for years now" but you're always able to put it into words. I think you're spot on about this. Infinite's story was a great step in the right direction but to really get that classic halo feel we need our brothers, the elites back.
If they do bring them back, I can agree that they can be excluded from Rank (well unless like you said they have a sub rank for elite only) as a trade off to have them playable in social. I mean really, there's already an armor set that would look cool to see, that being that one character the arbiter faced at the end of the duel.
The problem is that would be like Reach where it's too advantageous and would get people whining about how playing Elites is unfair if they were allowed in social. Keep them stat wise the same as Halo 2. If they're a bit bigger who gives a shit, Halo 2's were a bit bigger than Spartans and they were fine.
I still want playable Brutes, there's so much potential there. They would have similar hit boxes to humans because they have similarly shaped bodies. They could have amazing customizations, like Brute captain armor pieces, chieftains armor pieces, they could have pieces of Atriox's armor, Tarturus Mohawk, Varidus' rebreather, Halo 2 holographic captains flag and so on
The problem is that Brutes would be drastically different and would need to be limited to certain modes only. They may have a more human-esque body shape, but they're way bulkier than spartans and have no recharging energy shields.
@@Robbie_HarunaSome in the game have rechargeable shields actually if you play firefight or the campaign you'll see some so it could work. I agree with the other person they should add playable Brutes too Spartans are so overrated....
Honestly its astonishing the gold mine of marketable content they are missing out on with playable aliens in general is insane. That level of customization and the since of immersion would draw in so much money and attention.
I honestly love the idea of playable Grunts and running around as a gremlin shooting kneecaps out, guerrilla warfare to the extreme. I also personally loved the idea that Warzone brought to the table and should have had its aspects fused into other portions of the modern Halo gameplay. Although not sure how to go about a playable Flood unit with Infinite's current armor core system, I DO feel like it should just be a bonus cosmetic used for any core, but part of me also wants that, if the different races and classes WERE playable, they have unique gameplay aspects too. Like in a Flood based mode, the player Flood is like a low level Keymind with infection properties. I have an outline for an Infection Mode rework that's sort of a mix of Infection, 4's Flood mode (Hivemind variant), Juggernaut, Firefight, and Warzone, which is also using the lore-based aspect of the code for "nuking a spot for a Flood infected Spartan." Also trying to stay true to how the Flood unit mechanics work, it's a WHOLE outline with a bunch of details but that's the summary I have. I'd try to make it myself but I currently don't have a way to access any Halo title at the moment. XD
First thing i did when i play halo 3 my first halo game was change my spartan to a assault elite. They are just the coolest alien design and the fact they are basically more honorable predators makes them just awesome they need to come back.
A compelling and coherent explanation on the current situation and a reasonable means to return a core feature to the games. 343 has said they are focused on the core components of the games when they have left out one of the bigger core features since 2012. An excellent video. No more waiting, no more excuses. Bring back playable elites.
I always dream of a "mausoleum of the arbiter" game, where we play mini campains with different arbiters based on the most iconic moments of the covenant lore like the grunt rebellion
I feel like being able to play as alien species, and seeing them as actual characters, not just enemy monsters, is what made Halo so unique and cool. I honestly can't believe there's never been a Star Wars Battlefront II style halo game with grunt, jackal, and elite classes. And the whole balancing issue could be easily fixed. Balanced doesn't necessarily mean equal, maybe the Spartans run faster but the Elites can dodge roll (like the evade from Reach) and maybe the Elites jump higher but the Spartans punch harder (more melee damage). Anything to expand from just plain vanilla Spartans.
Hello Xpeira I miss playing Elite ever since Halo 3 I played them all the time id rather be them than a Spartan im a covenant Traitor lol I miss them so much and always have because Elites are cool especially Arbiter hes my favorite Character
I could imagine how different it could have been for Infinite's campaign. Imagine we get a similar experience to that of Halo 2, where you play as Arbiter, covering his story after landing on the ring. In addition, you get really cool abilities unique to Arbiter / elites. Instead of a grapple hook, you get a covenant era jetpack modified to reach high speeds and maneuver-ability
343 would earn so much respect and trust back from me if they added playable elites. It would be the perfect sign to the community that they have changed and know what the community wants.
I got a hella good idea, a good way for 343 to introduce playable elites to halo I feel like would be a dlc that’s focused more on the elite side of things, maybe it could focus on a variety a elite that climbed his way through the ranks, or it could focus on the covenant, what’s of it and who’s leading or maybe we could get a perspective of a elite soldier of the swords of sanghelios. I have to be honest here if a playable elite dlc were to happen id rather be a random elite commander or soldier rather than being a special elite character like the arbiter. Anyways I think a campaign dlc would be a great way elites to come back to halo. I would prefer the old customization of halo reach with rather than mixing up the armors like halo 3 it would be like halo reach where u could pick what rank u would want for customization and u can’t change it. I prefer that a lot more because I think that the elite armors that got mixed up looked kinda wonky and weird and liked the simplicity of just picking the armor set u want and that would be it. Another cool thing would be invasion with starter load outs like halo reach, this mechanic really worked for invasion, let’s say the title of a load out is a spec ops elite and it’s weapons are a plasma rifle and sword and a infinite active camp because that’s what spec ops would do, or even let’s say zealots come to the game, they could get a regular carbine and a energy sword because that seems like something a zealot would have. I also think we need some old covenant weapons back as I mentioned before the plasma rifle would be cool and so would the carbine and maybe even the needle rifle, we definitely need the fuel rod back, actually we need all of these weapons back. I wish I could explain more but we’d be here all day. WE NEED ELITES AND INVASION
Another thing I think for invasion each selected loadout would have their own designated armor set. For example let’s say ur customized elite is a mixmatch between a warlord and a spec ops and let’s say u hop into invasion and click the mercenary loadout than u would spawn in with the mercenary armor rather than ur customized armor, I feel like this detail would make the immersion for invasion make u feel like ur fighting an actual war between elites and humans, if u have ever played invasion warzone for mcc in custom games than u know what I’m talking abt it’s amazing. And amazing is what Halo infinite needs right now
As its been said before, Halo is not just a spartan story, its about the bigger picture here. Especially when Elites become allies, and they're a key part of the lore. I doubt 343 will ever want to add them if they haven't now, in the game that's perfect to reintroduce them. Even if they disregard the players, that's a new avenue to monetize them, so even financially it would be a wise decision to push them, but all we've ever had was the Elite season in MCC to provide anything for Elites.
This may never happen, but if they came back to Halo 5 and added in playable Elites for custom games and forge, I’d very much appreciate that. Maybe they could also add in settings for classic elites and the brutish elites from halo 4-5
Sadly true. Because current 343 doesn’t understand it’s community. A community built upon a foundation made of Bungie trilogy fans. MAKE HALO GREAT AGAIN!!!
I really want to see playable elites come back with a ton a cosmetics like some human made armor for elites and elite made armor for Spartans I think that would be awesome to see them with the each others aesthetics.
I definitely want to play playable Play Elites as well again! And especially with the armor customization in infinite. (Maybe if possible in the near future playable brutes and Dazremes too! Especially the Dazreme given their similar structure to elites.)
I as new player would love to have playable elites. New cores, new customizations, new effects and such. Man, I'd purchase a couple things for one. And if they can robots why not add Elites, why not the Brutes too? Heck, Make a Forerunner Core, or a Knights Core from the guys in Halo 5. Expand it. Edit: Their reasoning for it being a spartan's Story, does not matter if they got RID of the multiplayer story. Which basically destroyed that reasoning. Edit2: Would people even play a game that's NOT master Chief? Last time it didn't go so well.
I've recently been playing through Halo with my dad, and we got through CE and are now on Halo 2. Some of the most awesome experiences we've had in H2 have come from the Arbiter levels, and when I play Infinite's campaign, it feels like they ripped out the guts of the story, took an energy sword and cut a gaping hole where some of the most important parts of halo should have been. I loved blasting through Forerunner structures on Delta Halo, shooring the flood down with my dad, one of the best halo experiences I've ever had. Please 343.
Elites were something only Halo could do. If we want Halos identity to be fleshed out again we need stuff like playable elites to come back. PS: I feel like going beyond elites for playable species is too much, even for casual. But I wouldnt mind specific gamemodes where you play as other species/characters. I remmember there used to be a Halo Custom Edition map where everyone plays as grunts and having that as an official gamemode would be great.
To realize the arbiters character intro is the same age as me from halo 2 is baffling he deserves absolute attention from 343 he’s such a big part of the story I love halo so much I just don’t have a lot of faith in the franchise and I have been trying not to focus on this franchise and get my hopes up anymore
And the time has come, honestly. If playable Elites come now it'll never catch up to the population of players choosing Spartans due to the number of Spartan core options. It would have been tough to keep up with adding options for both species each season, but now itll be an understanding that Elites will always have fewer options. Expectations are curbed now, essentially. We just want at least one Elite core option.
The Eagle Strike and Rikishi armor are basically the same armor, same can be said with the Mark 7 + 5B armor clearly these four sets should have just been too and consider the fact that they're spreading their resources down the multiple art styles for these armors.
@@EastlakeRasta7 Eagle Strike and Rakshasa are nothing alike. Not sure what you're talking about. They don't even share the same design language. Round and industrial vs damaged/improvised and cobbled together. I like the cores system, though I think many armor components should be cross core, especially over half of the helmets in the game could fit any core.
@EastlakeRasta7 I just wish the forge scripting could let me use the cores more deliberately. Like if I could assign a stat change depending on the core you enter the match with, or otherwise I could set your core based on something on the map like if you choose a class. The Eagle Strike would make a great tank barbarian class, and the Rakshasa a great stealth ranger style class. Would make for some dope maps and modes.
@@Will_Forge the design language has nothing to do with anything except for a name for the stupid Cores, you clearly didn't look at them long core close enough, just the default color for both of them shows that the armor design is basically the same thing along with the armor texture, the black under suits are basically the same what's different is how the armor wraps around the black suit, the Mark 7 back chess piece is more similar to The Mark 6 then the five be but overall they're basically the same armor if you take the arms of the mark 5 BB and throw it on the seven you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but we can't say for certain until there is a cross core customisation
@@Will_Forge I don't like it because it's limiting, limiting in the context of ( I honestly forget which one doesn't have the back armor piece between the Eagle Strike or Rikishi lol) because both of these armors barely have any armor when you compare them to the mark 7 and 5b, they're just overall lacking and shoulders helmets excetera combining the two would solve this problem, and remember they even apologize for making all the armors more or less similar they were apologizing because they were basically the same fucking Armor 🤦🏾🤣😂🤣😂
The biggest issue I think is that Elites lack of presence stems from the fact that Atriox's forces are largely made up of his fellow Brutes and scoundrel Kig-Yar looking for bounties. Any Elites, Grunts, and Hunters that are tagging along are purely hired mercenary corps who don't really care for allying with Brutes, but have no choice. But what I'm more confused about is; knowing that Cortana was hot locking planets down, why didn't Arbiter even send even a handful of his Sangheili warriors that were ok with dealing with humans long term when Infinity left Sangheilios' orbit? Most of them of course would want to stay close to Arbiter because of their drive to fight and die for him, but I can imagine a few would want to be where the fight is, knowing none was coming to Sangheilios.
Absolutely yes, I.., most of my time in Halo 2 campaign I play as Elite.. and arbiter story... oh... give me more of that... It actually reminding me of what happening with anover werry well known franchise, and I'm talking about NFS Most Wanted 2005 year specifically, new game developers and directors are casting memory and all what related with that era, and a game in general, aside, they don't want to hear about that game, like it newer happened, it never exist... And somethings tell me it happening with Elites/Sangheili in Halo universe...even if players are loving them..
I want a reach/ ODST style game where you are an elite during/ after the great schism finding your way in the rapidly changing galaxy, struggling with your morals and long held beliefs Or maybe a game about the arbiter between halo 3-5
Elites in Halo are so important to expanding the lore and exploring the depths of this overall "not all about chief" story. The Master Chief is just one part and you already see him journeying through that. Just imagine though - Elites have so much potential and could be key to how the Mantle of Responsibility is supposed to play out (just like they were for the Covenant and the Great Journey) but in the games and the overall story. It would make a lot more sense for them to aid Humans in this as a joint effort, maybe as a form of attonement (mirroring Mendicant Bias' journey). Maybe its a vital way to take the Mantle of Responsibility even further, as the test could conclude that it takes a unification of species to fight the flood and protect the universe from its presence. It's more than Elites being missed potential at this point - it's going against what this story and its lore was designed for at its core since the very beginning...
Some social modes would be fun to pit Spartan vs Elites. Two rounds, automatically switch armor cores between the two. Covert one flag would be a good mode to do this for. It would be nice to overhaul the core system into a locker system, where players can select weapon and vehicle skin options to go with an armor core. With the Elites, they can add in a preferred locker option so in matches that automatically switches race, the game would know which locker to switch to. In the long term, this system can be expanded to include Brutes and Promethean Knights.
Elites is why I still actively play MCC, the interactions I have with my Spartan teammates is some of the most fun and engaging experiences I enjoy so much in the Bungie era games compared to 343’s games
A Promethean unit that’s the bridge between Soldier and Knight and on par with Spartans and Elites. Brutes. Robots. So many options, none are capitalized on
I'm pretty sure back in Halo Reach they actually did do a system where they banned elites from rank and the bulk of matchmaking. They solved this issue literally a decade ago, like you said before. Like, you could have playable elites in custom games if you enabled a certain setting, but public matchmaking and especially ranked just flat out banned them. If not just having things like "Elite Slayer," or "Elite Swat," etc.
ive always wanted more customization options for elites as they always felt limited (granted mcc halo 3 elites have more armor customization now) but aside from playable elites i thought we would also have playable brutes bcs of the banished
The issue of balance always comes up because of the hunched stance but they could easily solve it by making them have a more erect stance than usual. There are varying levels of hunch throughout the Halo series so it doesn't have to be a fixed amount
I can't tell you just how much I miss playing as Elites! You are correct when you say the customization hasn't even scratched the surface. I so want to play as an Elite Honor Guard! Or even Arbiter or Jega!
There is a pic on r/halo that showed how the elite posture has changed over time. If elites have their Infinite/Reach posture, they are pretty close to Spartan proportions. Absolutely headshot-able from behind.
Hey Xperia why is RU-vid unsubbing people from your channel this is like the third time ive had to sub to you the last two months. Love your content and I channel wish you the best
Fun Fact: In MCC Reach, if your preferred species is set to Elite, you can play as an Elite in Big Team King of the Hill. This gives you the same starting weapons, but the Reach Elites buffed movement speed and health. Its probably a glitch but its always hilarious showing up as the one elite in a lobby of Spartans and moving faster than everyone else, and I hope its never patched.
The Sangheili Community on Halo Reach is the last Bastion. I was in a Sangheili Bloodline back in the day, Visu Lakumee was my name, long had we dreamt of the future of the lineage. Alas the future was not kind. Halo 4, Halo 5 and now Halo Infinite gave us hope, only to snuff it out. MCC was the only silver lining and even the population there is dwindling. I learnt from the mistakes of my predecessors, and gave up on hoping for Sangheili Community to return.
Elites are my favorite alien species in fiction, Arbiter is my favorite Halo character and one of my favorite characters in general. I have been taking quite a long break from Infinite but have been considering maybe jumping back in but I still haven't yet. One thing that would INSTANTLY, make me reinstall is if Playable Elites were added. Like if they HAVE to keep with the canon Multiplayer thing they could easily make it work. I haven't really been paying attention to the Multiplayer story but to my knowledge the current thing going is the Banished AI taking over everyone and causing Infection and stuff, maybe some of the Swords of Sanghelios show up to help combat this, and as thanks for helping a co-training thing is started with Spartans and Elites, it would NOT be hard at all to justify this canonically. Like heck they even have Banished/Covenant Weapons, who's to say they weren't given by The Swords of Sanghelios or something?
How awesome would it be if they could make a surprise DLC campaign where you play as the Arbiter and Chief again to try to take down Atriox, missed opportunity!
Hiddenxperia thank you for your support of playable elites for the last decade! It’s been far too long and we need that element back in halo I’ve been a elite player ever since halo 2 came out and I hope to see them return to glory in multiplayer
Balance does matter in social but not as much. There still needs to be at element of fairness when it comes to how your character is presented when it comes to hitboxes. The way they did it in Halo reach was a good way to do it with games that were specifically designed for Spartans versus elites.
There is even a community of people on Halo MCC who play as elites. Clans, gaming groups and just players who like elites because they're cool. Plus, Invasion in Infinite with a max lobby would be insane. The battles you could make, the Machinimas that people could make. They NEED to be playable again.
If they made playable Elites I’d 100% want Arbiters armour from H2, H3 and Halo wars (because they’ve added Halo wars spartan armour) I’d even be willing to pay for a “Arbiters legacy” pack or something like that
I think a story about a marine training to be an odst would be dope. It can even have elites in it where they could team up with the unsc since masterchief is gone after halo 3. it could be a game that takes place from halo 3-halo infinite showing what happen to the odst team that’s mentioned in infinite
It is utterly baffling how little the Elites have been utilized and explored by 343, and you're totally right that they're a large part of what made Halo so unique and interesting in the first place.
