I cannot fucking believe that right as ONI was entering the picture of this story, it gets fucking canceled. ONI is one of my favorite parts of Halo lore and it feels like they haven’t had any serious presence in the story since hunt the truth. It’s been like 5 fucking years dude. Also Spartan Dinh is really cool
What 343 did with ONI was fucking lame, I'm glad all that got shitcanned. "Oooo, spooky shadow government plotting to take over" is beyond retarded, ONI is just the UNSC's intelligence division, they are the exact same organization. They completely stole Cerberus from Mass Effect and somehow made it even lamer, now that's an accomplishment
All the effort 343 put into these cinimatics. They could have made DLC missions or even an entire sub-campaignlike how they did the Spartan Ops in Halo 4. But noooo.
that first cutscene is still so weird to me. no one decided to call ahead? lucky base defenses didnt just shoot them down. i mean if someone knew, they didnt tell the marines, who were ready to start shooting at whatever came out of the phantom. the lady spartan seemed to know since she was calling for a medic, but probably a good idea to tell the rest of the base personnel that friendlies were going to be arriving in an enemy transport vehicle.
And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. -Jeremiah 29:13 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. - John 3:16 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out. - Acts 3:19 If are in North America, please go check out any of the churches available to you: PCA, OPC, Rpcna/Rpc, Urcna, or a canrc church (These are conservative and actual Presbyterian churches) If you can’t find one of the conservative presby churches then, maybe a Lcms Lutheran church. If you are Scottish, I recommend the Free Church of Scotland and the APC. (Different from the Church of Scotland) If you are English I recommend the Free Church of England (Different from the Church of England) Also online you can look up church finders for each of the groups and it will show you locations
It's not that it's not grounded, it's that the dialogue here is a bit... unnatural. Look at the chemistry Alpha-Nine and NOBLE shared, for example. Their banter is realistic, flows into each other, and brings a nice light-hearted aspect to an otherwise dismal war. Infinite seems to try and shoehorn in "le iconic one-liner" (namely from Argyna) without any of the tactful timing or dialogue in between that makes those one-liners impactful and memorable. It's especially egregious in the first cutscene, where every second line of dialogue is, you guessed it, a one-liner. Imagine if Commander Keyes said a line equally akin to "To war." every single time she was on-screen.
I can understand them abandoning this due to just how ehh it’s reception was. With Season 5 brining back the flood, and a small resurgence in infinity’s life stem - and new management that actually seems to work to make them game better for the players. I really think that instead of continuing this, beside throwing Fire Fight in, they should almost take a small book from Halo 4 and do a second round of Spartan Ops, however this new one being focused around Spartan Fire Teams scattered across the new installation after infinity’s evacuation. It would give nice expanse to the 6th month period gap, gives a nice bit of story to even the wider Galaxy situation outside of the instillation and it gives nice simple mission design along with easy bits story (both external and internal) while also expanding out the small roster of characters - hell can even comment on where some of these characters have gone. Maybe Palmer and Laskey after landing managed to form an actual effective fire base with Spartan IV and UNSC elements. You can even have the last “chapter” of missions following your new MPC as they descend on the new Installation after the campaign and start picking up the pieces of what’s been happening and how things have changed.
I'm pretty sure that they are going to end Infinite and create another Halo game. While infinite was meant to be like Destiny with lots of expansions, Microsoft is pulling the plug.
🥇 Great live service game… infinite was released about 1.5 years ago. That means, they managed to create about 1.2 seconds of video per day to achieve this 11 minute clip. Good job !
In a manner of speaking. Spartan IIs and to an extend IIIs were trained since they were children to know nothing but war and discipline. It leads to them being extremely capable soldiers but quite antisocial among others. This mirrors their real life cpunterparts, the warriors of Sparta who were put in the Agoge training program at age 6 to be Sparta's greatest weapons or die trying. Spartan IVs are capable soldiers or thry wouldnt be there but they fraternise like schoolgirls and are more akin to Army Rangers. The disassociation of the Spartans from Humanity while simultaneously being Humanity's greatest warriors has always been a point of fascination for me. IVs just dont have that.@@hiroshiarturolopezsashida6071
So the thing I don't understand is after the events of Halo 5 why does it make sense to bring this banished AI to a secret Spartan training facility??? It's as if the Spartans have no idea what happened during Halo 5 or the fact that AI were rising up against their creators which just shows the lack of cohesion between the overall stories and the fact that they're forgetting their lore 🤦🏾
Ah yes, Section 3: the top-secret ONI group that went under ONI’s nose with the Spartan 3 program. Headed by Colonel Ackerson, trained by former Psartan 2 trainer, Lt. Commander Kurt 051 Ambrose, former Spartan 2 trainer Chief Petty Officer Franklin D. Mendez, and later with Gamma Company, Spartan 3’s Tom B292 and Lucy B091. Also, infected Spartans!?!?!? Wow! I’d still prefer the Flood but yeah. So far, this new update is great! 343 really needs to keep this up!
It's not a playable story like the campaign. It's just these cutscenes that would would play ay the start of new in game events. Wish they would add more story like this to the campaign tho
Spartans have never been as cool as they were in halo reach. Spartans always knew death was their most likely outcome because they aren’t fit for regular life.
@@ace0071000 All I’m sayin is the original Spartans had a much more interesting lore and the concept of the original Spartan program asked tough questions about how far you go when turning people into warfighters.
@@tmod231the whole point of the IV’s is the opposite of that; how far are you willing to go to become your heroes? All the IV’s are former vets who were probably saved by Spartans in the past, and want to live up to it.
@@thatoneguy9291yeah but none of them are cool, and the only thing that makes most of them interesting is "there a Spartan" vs what we got in Halo Reach and the original trilogy
@@EastlakeRasta7 we literally didn’t get good exposure to the average IV until a book that came out halfway through 2023, and you have to be a hardcore hater to disagree and say they weren’t cool there. If “oh child soldiers fighting a war with everyone on their backs” is the selling point of Spartans to you idk what to say, but the premise of hundreds of people looking to pay forward the debt their heroes put them in is good for me.
They are literally just normal soldiers that have been augmented lol. Their point is to be more 'human' and not be brainwashed children, while allowing the new suits to augment their abilities to the levels of S2's 😅
@@Emrald79 Yeah to be more humane. Once the secrets of the spartan program got leaked people were starting to fear Spartans as killing machines. By allowing normal soldiers it increased funding and more people applying for the program. It also allowed already exceptional soldiers to become even better such as Fireteams Osiris, Crimson and Alpha-Nine
@@logan_jp3 They were made to be more human. Society saw the Spartan's as killing machines. By allowing normal humans it increased funding and applications. It also allowed already exceptional soldiers to become super solders such as Buck and Locke etc
Deep lore i see this in other games and its cool how the developers minds are somtimes its an unnecessary headache though...nature is always simple...but that part where it says oh but there is so much to see is soo deeeeep.
the only “Smart” AI in Infinite’s MP is Iratus and he’s cloned from a Brute brain, ofc he acts weird. Our MP AI are all “Dumb” AI, and they’ve always been kind of weird. Wellsley from Halo: The Flood was eccentric, too.
@@UntitledProfiles oh no no 😂. Why tf wud they ever do that. It would cost them a ton of money. They couldn't do it even if they wanted to bcz there are a lot of risks.
Why can’t I play these cut scenes? Or how? All I can play is multiplayer and campaign. (Deleted game when it first came out after campaign just downloaded it. Please help?)
The one take camera technique they did for campaign and first season cutscenes was an interesting concept but in practice it ended up limiting the creativity so much. I mean just compare season 3 introduction to everything else, it's so much more interesting, faster, more dynamic and engaging. Such a shame they're all gone anyway. :/
Everyone hates the show, but then i remember a lot of you are still playing infinite. The game is still unfinished, and its been well over 3 years almost
Within the first 2 minutes, why does the Spartan have nods with a rhino mount and bungee cords, it doesn't make sense the mount is so high up that it would hit the sun visor 😂
You don't. They're literally just narrative cutscenes. You (used to) watch them when every season dropped but they didn't provide anything to the game. You'd watch them and 343 would go say "Cool right? Now go buy our micro transactions." And now it doesn't matter because they've been taken out of the game.
As someone who reads the books, i know what the spartan 4s are capable of. . . .but at every damn turn 343 manages to RUIN their status, I cant keep defending the spartan 4s if 343 doesnt want them to be defended, their humanities best without being kidnapped or brutally conditioned and yet each time they end up with this treatment, either we petition for 343 to treat their super soldiers like SUPER soldiers or this is it. Hell their even starting to do it to the other gens when it comes to lore spin offs, I cant stand this anymore.
Ikr. Rubicon Protocol was awesome, the S-IV's felt like genuine Spartans worthy of being called as such. Then we get these cutscenes or the "dude-bro's" from Spartan Ops and it's no wonder the mainstream Halo fan doesn't like them, all their best S-IV's are in the books!
@Haileytyruew just how 343i rolls They got great ideas, All either had terrible execution or midway direction If you realise how jarring the story went from 4 to 5 to Infinite. And Infinite was supposedly a 10 year project minimum, but with its post launch mess with their internal hierarchy and workload distribution, it fell apart as well, and they delved into very deep Halo lore territory, some that most halo fans weren't too big on cux of how some areas were just muddle through or skipped through Potential such as Medicant Bias being left off in H1-3. Which is a very big part of pre and post Halo Array firing. I assumed it was part of the original story direction of 4. But they were too ambitious and crammed too many foreshadowing that they dug themselves too big a hole to fill the foundation Same as with 5 and Infinite, all of them have very intertwining lores that you simply cannot just look by. And it's hard to expand on such story when it was already rich in the pre existing novels. Whilst still having its self contained story that can encompass the deep lore. Halo up to Reach worked cux its focused on current events and simply build from there although they never thought too much too deep on Chief as a character nor the Covenant, it was a simple you are a cybernetic badass, and you are the line between destruction or savior of Humanity. Simple set up to build a story on top Forerunner and so forth are not possible without expanding on them while still being fresh. And ONI was also a big part of the set up in ODST and Reach. All these ideas you can kind of see it coming from all 3 343i games plot further down, but after a while you can see they don't know where to go with it
@@DONtBRINGMeDOWN.they discontinued the story to allocate more resources and funding to making more content for the game, unless Microsoft gives more funding we might never see how the story ends.
idk why games like this and cod try to give multiplayer a story, they're not destiny lmao "how do we get this ai out of his head?" "carefully...jk, just go play some more games of capture the flag rookie, we got this"
can i just remind you all that we supposed to have storry DLC for the main game? And then it was (probably) canceled and turned into this? And now its also canceled? Good job, 343, you really ARE the Death of halo!
1 why put an enemy ai in your helmet which has a direct link to your brain??? 2 the dialogue feels infantile 3 why would the odst advice them to go at night and to go by air at the same time the first makes sense, the second only makes them more of a target, (reminds me of blackhawk down and several other such missions that went arry for the US, you can't sneak anywhere with a chopper or with a pelican in this case. why the hell would the banished be interested in smart ai, they know what kind of a treath those pose and by any means they are space pirates, space huns, they want to conquer and pillage with their equivalent of atilla leading the charge.
