Agreed. I’ve played over 10 games on BTB and every match all players are easily able to obtain a BR and Commando at their spawn building so there hasn’t been any issue with getting long we range weapons

I fucking hate BR/DMR starts. Kills half the sandbox, and I already played that shit in Halo 2, 3, and Reach.

I'm a die hard OG halo fan and never a fan of BR starts.

AR starts improve how the game plays, BR in old Halo's has many flaws. As the sandbox destroyer. It was too versatile.

BR starts would be good because the pistol is good enough to have a reason to be picked up, has the Quickdraw feature AND might kill faster at close range than the BR still in the final build, so BR AR like halo 3 makes the most sense to me for comp

Nah, I don't like the falcon as a solo quer. It's just a useless vehicle when nobody wants to get in with you. The only time people wanted to get in with me was the snowier map with the banshee.

And instead of being brought by a Pelican it gets brought by a squad of marines, with two Falcons. They drop the first one and the driver goes to ride the second one and then they go off the map

I'd like to live in that time line.

Teamed up with either a guy with a $5 mic with insane hiss and static sounds , a guy who's seems to be up in the swiss alps with all the wind hitting his mic or eastern europeans who were speaking in a language foreign to me. Oh well

I drive to the enemies flag in a warthog with a gunner and passenger. We had at least 5 seconds with no enemies around and none of those knuckleheads were smart enough to get out and grab the flag so we could drive away. We got lasered by a skewer a few seconds later. We could've totally made a run for it

I mean... I understand WHY they quit. Most Halo players don't play competitively, and unfortunately for those players this flight puts social and competitive gamers together. I can imagine getting BODIED in a flight you were excited to play at first would be frustrating, especially since this Halo is geared towards more competitive play. I've seen the enemy team lose so many players just because me and another random teammate were bottlenecking them in the center with sniper rifles and ravagers. Now there were several different ways they could've punished us for doing so, but it was clear they didn't know how. The gap in experience was VERY clear, and if I were them I'd be getting pissed too.

@@JimankyGaming yeah, like I was hyped for this mode but I’m really not all that good and it’s only in the pvp playlist, no playing against cpus which meant I basically can’t play it. Gotta play 10 full matches for an emblem on launch day though so I stayed

@@JimankyGaming ORRRR. theres is a bunch of new players who have no mmr. so its gonna be messy for the first few hours until all the new players have played a few matches for matchmaking to work at its best.

Yeah I was quitting and I never quit games. It just felt like h5 with some changes and I couldn't get into it. But I did have the feeling of "why am I playing a game which will have no ranking system" which could've had an effect on me not caring less about quitting.

They just need to add punishments for quitters, with increasing penalties the more you leave, cry baby behavior imo

for real. This doesnt feel like BTB, it feels like bigger arena

I think in the live stream last week they talked about how they wanted feedback on the vehicles in btb like if it was too slow or too fast, i personally think its too slow and also 1 scorpion at the VEEEEEEEEEEEERY end of a match just sucks i feel like the scorpion should be like a every 10 minute spawn type vehicle

Exactly, there's way too many people talking almost all the time. I turned off Spartan chatter because everything they say is just stupid as hell and distracting. And I would prefer if the AI talked about half as much, even less than that. Jeff Steitzer is all I need to hear, not Jeff, Spartan Agyrna, every single other Spartan on my team(with bizarre cowboy accents too wtf..?) AND a completely unnecessary AI voice commentating every time I pick up any weapon off the ground. Plus, every AI other than the robotic default is just straight up...childish. Goofy one-liners and crap I don't need to hear mid-fight. I miss the QUIET days of Halo 2/3 no mic lobbies. Where you could be sneaky in a big team map, camp for up to a minute with absolutely no voices, no music, no HUD notifications...just calm, windy ambient noises as I slowly look for an easy snipe.. and Jeff in the background with a calm, cool, informative, "5 minutes remaining"..

Yeah its really poor for vehicle gameplay. Idk why 343 always goes down this route for its btb maps. I think it has something to do with the way they balance weapons. some are hitscan so people would get beamed in an open map. I wish they'd go back to all projectile like h3

I’ve always preferred the competitive side of halo, but I absolutely agree that a lot of top players need to let the game be fun for everyone and not be hyper competitive like h5

I did that 6 times in 1 game, i fucking love the skewer in btb

Once I got lucky and Skewered the driver from the side, leaving the Ghost itself spotless.
