Launch Site is my personal least favorite map. Mainly through playing Fiesta since ranged power weapons are very common and vehicles are awful on this map especially air vehicles since there are very claustrophobic barriers in the sky around buildings.
2 maps that would work really well for an 6v6 or even 8v8 are both launch site and Behemoth, actually I think it would be an amazing addition to the game those types of modes
@@olivierrodriguesneto5995 This, I was thinking if BTB classic comes in the future, then they can make those two dedicated maps while adding more later on, in addition to Forge creations when that comes.
I feel the same, it's WAY too big for 4v4. Same with Behemoth, really. I don't like either of those maps in matchmaking right now but I think I'd like them 10 times more in a 6v6 or maybe even 8v8.
I hate launch site like no other map, the two sides being so different leads to one team having an instant advantage because they can just camp up top and let the other team push, this map consistently infuriates me- F tier for sure. (That being said I really like most of the maps especially streets recharge and live fire)
@@Dark-ni5qj While playing on 1 team capture the flag it become one of the best map for me and I think it could be really cool for infection you are right. It's not a map meant to be played on every game mode, it's quite specific but it has a good potential.
Yeah, I was shocked to find Behemoth in S-tier. Most of the map is too open, but then the points of interest are practically chokepoints by comparison. It feels like a map that'd be much better in 6v6 though.
I love any map where I don't have to worry about getting spawned next to an enemy with overshield, so behemoth and launch site are definitely my favorites. I'm not a fan of streets and aquarius, as the matches tend to always be one-sided, and vehicles are a lot of fun.
Behemoth isn't an S in my book, solely because it is super easy to spawn kill and get spawn killed, particularly on SWAT. We're talking death within seconds of spawning. I get that it's part of the design and purpose to be open plan, but on so many games you just get sniped at spawn if the enemy have control of the power weapons. Would also swap live fire and launch site. Oh, also, you have the same spartan as me. Piece for piece.
nice. You have good taste in armor then. Also I rarely ever get spawn killed in this map, let alone infinite as a whole. I've heard of issues with spawn killing but rarely see it. Maybe I'm lucky
I agree, Behemoth is just wat too big so any idiot with a BR could kill you in a moment because all you have against is an AR. that why it's my least favourite map. I would rather if 343 made it a bit bigger and it would be a BTB map.
Weird. On Fragmentation, I always have horrible balance. Always feels like one team or the other wins near instantly 90% of the matches, ESPECIALLY on CTF. On Highpower, usually I have very satisfying, long CTF and Zone Wars matches and it's probably my favorite. Always a fight to the end.
What surprises me the most is how many maps could be F tier if you consider 1 specific gamemode or S tier if you consider another one. Recharge is a perfect example: I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE having to play tactical slayer in there and oddball is also not fun, but I find it the most enjoyable when it comes to FFA. Behemoth is another good example, on quickplay it is pretty fun and the tactical slayer matches can be pretty nerve-wracking... but, for the love of god, TAKE IT AWAY FROM FIESTA, it all always devolves into whose teams gets the most snipers. Anyways, what we can all agree is that streets is hands down the most "equally fun" map in the whole game.
I infinitely despise Bazaar for tactical slayer. For some reason the placing of the areas go aaaaagh, and Deadlock is the best for slayer. Fragmentation is the worst for capture the flag. For attrition Live Fire is so illegally fun, and Fiesta pairs best with aquarius. I also think streets is great for any of the modes it plays but also gets boring to play the same mode on.
I have a suggestion for your next tier list, how about rating the equipment of Halo Infinite? What I mean is you could rate the nades, the grapple shot and everything else in that category(including camo and over shield), and maybe the coils and game mode items like the flag in CTF and the ball in Oddball
As someone who only started playing in November this year, I haven’t seen at least three of these maps yet! It’s crazy how many new and fun maps got added over time. Though most of them are just halo 3 maps. Not complaining…
Your ranking is pretty close to what mine would be. Behemoth is SS for me, #1 it is just always so fun, I would rank launch site a bit higher, it is so fun in fiesta with the op vehicles like wasps and scorpions. Great vid!
Honestly the only map I dislike is Launch Site, mainly because it’s poorly optimised for Fiesta, people just dominating with a Scorpion or a Wraith is not fun especially when you can only approach from one direction
Only halo map name I could remember was Blood Gultch/hemorrhage. RU-vid polls keep asking which map is best and I have no ideal which is which. Behemoth the beautiful desert is my favorite too I think.
Streets is my least favorite Halo map I've played (granted, I thankfully haven't played 4 or 5). So much of what makes classic Halo fun (to me at least) is the ability to hold one side against the other team. You spawn on one side with your team until the spawns eventually flip. Think Blood Gulch, Valhalla, Narrows, Behemoth, High Ground, etc. To me, Streets is just a Call of Duty-style 'just run around and get shot in the back by the dude who spawned in that room right behind you' sorta thing. Its especially bad with domination (sorry I mean STRONGHOLDS).
I Disagree with the Highpower placement, it's always "Oh Hey, a Scorpion is spawning for both sides!" then your team's scorpion spawns in the goddamn neutral field because game design.
I’m sorry, behemoth looks cool but I despise this map in comp. every time I get on mic everyone else always groans every time it loads in. It seems like most higher ranked players at least agree too that its just a pain for comp. The spawns are atrocious, significantly less balanced than any other comp map. There is also very little cover. In comp when everyone has a br and there are sniper spawns instead of skewers, getting a bad spawn means almost instant conflict and if your flag is out, usually getting bad spawns result in a free flag cap for your opponents. It’s a cool casual map but absolutely sucks for comp.
Idk about Behemoth in S tier. I see where you're coming from by putting it there, but as I saw another comment in the comment section saying: It's just really hit-or-miss
I agree with most of these the only ones id change are Behemoth... its a beautiful map and I love it, but on tactical is sucks, you get spawn killed most of the time and if your not good at sniping like me its just not fun at all, it'd be a A or B for me... and Aquarius, I honestly love Aquarius, I'm a fan of plants and greenhouse stuff, and it gives me that feel, I love the 2 different sides and I always have a great time on it no matter what mode I'm in, honestly S for me.
Honestly high power is my most fav map cuz it's a big map with open space and it's really good for vehicles but deadlocked, behemoth and fragmentation are also my most fav map cuz of the same reasons but honestly I can't really choose between the 4
I'd love to see how people think the Infinite maps rank alongside maps from the other Halo games, particularly 2, 3, and Reach. Imo the only honest S-tier in Infinite is Streets
Even if there aren't any truly garbage maps, the shallow rotation is starting to drag down the experience. At this point I wouldn't mind a casual mode in a built up section of the open world map.
Gotta disagree with you on Deadlock. I don't think it deserves a C, nor do I feel it deserves to be ranked at all. I think it's the worst map in the game, and possibly the worst BTB map in halo history. The imbalanced sides make it impossible for one team to advance at all in CTF, giving one side more vehicles, precision weapons, cover, and vantage points from which to snipe across the map. And on other OBJ modes it's just an absolute clusterfuck, and I don't think I've ever had a single game where it's felt like an even fight.
I really hate streets. Idk why but most of the times I play that map the game freezes and then crash, no matter of what video setting I'm using. Hope 343 fix this
I agree with everything except live fire. I dont like that map too small imo and as you said kinda unappealing. The statues/targets always trip me up too 😅
Bazaar is total garbage. Granted everyone is entitled to their opinion but bazaar spawning is clunky, there are so many hidey holes that anyone could camp with a gravity hammer or energy sword and never die once. But hey, if you like it, you like it.
Fragmentation just proves 343i CAN make good maps. It is kind of the only good BTB map. Deadlock is meh and High Power is super forgettable. BTB just needs some more maps. And why launch site being as bad as it is and everything isn't in the BTB rotation is odd. It feels way too big for a 4v4 map.
Disagree with live fire, Aquarius, and recharge. live fire is an s, recharge is an s, and Aquarius is an a. All of the btb maps are c or d in my opinion. Behemoth should only be a b also
