Halo infinites new exchange system is cool! but disappointing...

Assuming that Spartan Points are the weekly reward for ALL Ultimates going forward at 1000, that means you can get a total of 2750 SP per week. Paired with the 15,000 in the Operation, in a 5 week span you can get 28,750. If they rotate out Xanadu Falu after the Operation leaves, it is mathematically impossible to buy that coating. Which speaks to me that either A: There needs to be more avenues to get SP, or B: Prices need to get lowered.

The exchange makes me happy, no matter how hard I’ll have to grind to get the stuff

They gotta lower those prices. The stuff is free, it’s not like they have anything to lose

I think all they need to do to fix it is give the new currency for the in game medals such as multi kill, headshots, etc.

How about an option in the exchange that allows you to “sell” your XP boosts and challenge swaps for Spartan Points, I mean I have like 96 of them and I don’t even use them

An idea they could have also added, is as a bonus to the exchange, instead of getting SP as a weekly reward, have the option to choose any of the exchange items as your ultimate weekly reward, choose what you go for that week

Each match you play should give 25-50 credits..they add that then it’ll be a W system. 50 points for win and 25 for loss

Atleast I finally have something more to grind for than just hero rank, I think they should think about adding credits just for playing matches tho

We should be earning this currency every match we play, like rainbow six. It’s ok if it’s not a lot as long as we earn some each match.

What makes me relax is thet fact that i have been playing this game since the very beginning, wich means most of these cosmetics will be unlocked (like event cosmetics and some twitch drops), so i can focus on stuff i never got the chance to get. So yeah, for me it's a huge W

I joined during the first month of infinite coming out so ofc the pepper mint and plat anniversary I own, it makes me happy and mad for bringing old items back

The Platinum Anniversary has been my main sense Day 1. Looks like it isn’t gonna be as rare now but either way still gonna rock it

seeing the maths for the spartan points, I hope we can either earn a little more SP or have the exchange cost a little less because we literally can not get 30k SP in the 4 weeks an operation could theoretically go thru lol excited for it though, cant wait for them to bring back old helmets I missed while I wasn't playing

Having to grind for a full month to afford what looks like a slight change on the alabaster cognac by shifting around which pieces are which colour is *steep*. I mean, I'm glad it's here, but that's exorbitant. Makes me real suspicious that they're setting up for "oh, you're not happy how slow it is? Introducing you can now by SP with credits!". Also, on the shortage of banished coatings ... would have been an excellent time to put those unreleased elite-based ones in the exchange.

The visor coating included in the operation doesn't look Banished themed. It looks like something they just haphazardly threw together rather than planned out

I think it'd be really cool if each operation you could grind for a second armor set with SP in a themed rotation then have that set join a normal rotation after the operation ends that way there's something to chase if you have everything in a rotation and aren't left to dry for a month. This would mean more ways to earn sp which already seems like a problem in its own.

I hate that every time we get something in this game, they have to take something else away.

I think every challenge should give the same amount of xp and Spartan points

Definitely gonna be a slow grind (but as someome whos been consistently grabbing all the free stuff over the years I cant say theres much to grind for), would be nice if they did implement a REQ like system as you said or even the Reach credits system on how well you play the more SP you earn encouraging people to play better to get the most of their match

I feel like it should work like this: when a match end the exp stay the same but of how you play control the money. If you get the kill you get credit but if you die or kill yourself in the game minus the credit you get.

Tbh that’s a step forward. Of course they could expand the ways we get those Spartan Points, but these are steps i think will be introduced later

Really hope more coatings become cross core. Been waiting ages for Deathly Poison cross core since it was leaked months ago

It is an update.

They could have kept seasonality. If they did that ontop of introducing the exchange they could have won back so many players. They should also introduce a number of "premium" cosmetics to the exchange, by hiking up the points you need to unlock them by a multiple of 3 or 5.

Gonna be real with you, there are like 30 banished themed coatings already in game. I’d say red, green & yellow coatings are probably the most common in the game. There’s a sad lack of blue

I love 343 and halo infinite, the coatings they do is so amazing and fair to collect, I mean it would of been cool for 75,000 Spartan points for the whole ghost of reach bundle instead of just the helmet :(

It sucks that they are moving away from XP tokens I wish they’d keep them in, who knows maybe they’ll get feed back about it after this event and put some XP tokens back in the future events cuz I honestly love them and don’t wanna have to buy them, but I’m glad they are taking this direction, after season 5 the hype kinda went down hill and hope this picks that hype back up cuz everyone has been wanting this for so long

i hope in halo 7 they bring back req packs but mix it in with a sore similar to the one we have now ( all be it with less expensive shit) and an exange just mix it all make the game fun

It all goes back to the store. While we were all sick of emblems, the challenge swaps and XP boosts are connected to real money. With their removal from passes there will come a point where we will have to buy them. Even if you're stuck with 70+ like I am. And of course they are removing options from the pass so we are more likely to buy from the store. They even said the passes are made so we get one "look" and then we "get the otehrs through other means" Which is only the store at this point. If they lowered the prices that would be fine, but they show the MV kit at 2200 still. So prices are still just as high as usual. Its so hard to get excited for anything in the game anymore.

If we got spartan points every game, they would have higher player retention. Halo keeps on fumbling

I'm going to be holding my big criticism for when they give some more info, I can see why people are getting fired up but I'm going to give them the benefit of a doubt for now. They were able to change the challenge system to be more player friendly so I believe they can tweak the SP stuff if needed as well, provided people are vocal with feedback And now that they've gotten rid of filler stuff it would be pretty cool to have the operations be 30 tiers

I doubt 100% this will happen, but i wished for items we already own from prior to their release in the exchange, we could recieve like kind of like a compensation/refund give us the matching SP for the cost of the item we own, as a one time thing and this way it gives us another way to earn things and it doesn't cost 343 anything and can help us get the new items quicker and easier

1 point per 10xp per match. For a 1k score game youd get 100 sp. That seems fair enough to me i reckon they should do that

It would be HUGE if we could exchange a large amount of spartan points for a small amount of credits. This wouldnt be necassary if they kepy seasons. I think at the end of the day rather than forcing players to buy extremely expensive cosmetics, theres going to be more reason for people to buy things when they feel rewarded for playing the game and performing well. Right now there is little to no tangible reward for playing the game

You know when they reveal the store today I’m surprised to see that they only had one new bundle in the store.

play to earn stuff is great, big W for the game... but the way of earning them is so limited, they are so clearly artificially increasing the difficulty to get them so you have to play daily, it is so blatant it is gross to see, they could have easily copied the credit system from halo reach, you win some spartan points per games played... but no... they decided to replace already existing free play to earn rewards, even if they were "filler" it was free stuff, It is so obvious that Microsoft doesn't want them to give the community free stuff, they say "you can only give the players these 3 ways of getting free stuff and nothing else, we need profit" is ridiculous, it is so sad to see.

agree with everything said in the video... another way to implement the spartan points could be you only get them if you win online games, 50-100 points per win. 50 for team games and 100 for ffa game modes with other points available to 2nd and third 3rd placed players, or even a destiny style system where each game had a "found in game section" and you could potentially unlock armour pieces and coatings or spartan points as a reward for playing the game, i know i missed out on alot of the recent drops and event items so im really happy that im not just never gonna get those items and 343 is giving us the chance to earn them!

I'm just happy I'm being paid rewards for playing, even if it's pennies on the dollar. Just wish the coatings should be 20k, with weapon variants or special weapon skins (not coatings) should be 30k

I definitely agree, not enough ways to get spartan points and the ways you do are awfully slow. I'm at least satisfied with the implementation.

Once you beat the operation pass you should be able to just earn points instead of XP for challanges and such

We really should have the freedom to use Spartan Points outside of the Exchange. Let’s say 100,000 for normal bundles, and 300,000 for Supers. This can solve the issues with the shop. restricting SP solely to exchange is a mistake.

I think the exchange is fine. it's a way to grind for old stuff for free, or earn a new coating if you have them already. The halo community is fucking insufferable

You can “earn” them quicker if you get those digits ready.

All I got from this shop update is that they have no way of actually engaging the community so this was their last option. And even then who tf wants to grind a dead and buggy game for 5 weeks just to have a needle cosmetic. But hey I’m not a Halo fan anymore so 🤷🏽‍♂️

But can you save up spartan points? Like in Master Chief collection I have 47 spartan points since I'm waiting until Rhino armor shows up in the Exchange.

I really dislike the plasma pistol EMP returning. The electricity weapons were supposed to fill that niche. I would have much preferred if they made the Disruptor just not suck instead.

Not to mention they choose to do it now when the game isnt fully supported anymore and is gomna get shut down soon. Why would I spend any money or time on that? So they can make the next game better? Where is the astral drift armor coating dam! that's the only coating I really want it says it was released in season 4 but it's not in the season 4 battlepass. but it's another coating that it's kinda similar to it?????please help
