Basically, full human cloning sucks in the Haloverse; clones have a bad habit of deteriorating into brain-dead cripples. The fact that Daisy's clone is healthy enough to still operate a wheelchair on her own actually makes her one of the lucky ones; most clones tend to die very quickly of medical complications. Essentially, cloning is only useful for replacing individual organs.
It’s been years, but in the spirit of rewatching Homecoming again, the Spartan 2 clones used like with what we see for Daisy weren’t fully grown clones that could independently lead a full life. Such clones are illegal under the Mortal Dictata statutes. The ones used for the Spartan 2’s were flash clones; a method of cloning that quickly “built” a human body to purposefully die off a few weeks - months later. As we see with Daisy’s clone, she lived several years which was actually a design flaw.
Coming back to this since Halo Infinite Clonely Bear. After reading the comics and listening to audiobooks of Halo, the ending of Homecoming was much sadder. The Spartan at the end who found Daisy dead wasn’t a stranger. He pretty much witnessed the death of his (adopted) sister; since all of them were kidnapped children that grew up together. Sad he couldn’t stay longer to mourn the death of a sibling and had to get back to the battlefield. Thank you for reading and sorry for the long rant. May Spartan 023 Daisy find peace.
This was simply history saving the program's PR image for all of time; they did end up a great contributor to saving humanity. In the beginning however, the SPARTAN II program was created with highly questionable means to create loyal, indoctrinated super-soldiers to strike down anti-UNSC rebels and separatists. It was only a twist of fate that they ended up doing far more noble work. Despite that, all Spartan IIs were still kidnapped from their families and subject to hellish training/modding.
Basically, in the Haloverse, clones have a bad habit of becoming crippled and senile very, very quickly (the fact that Daisy's clone managed to live for several year is very unusual, as most flash clones die in less than a year).
Eh the only thing that really saved humanity was luck. Luck for truth to start the great schism, luck for Arbiter to join with the UNSC at that time, and luck for the covenant to have not found earth sooner
spartan-II's were created before the covenant war began, spartans were created to fight incurrectionists, Spartan-III's were made because of the covenant i think
Correct on all accounts except for one. Spartan IIs were modified for covenant combat once they came about and spartan IIIS were made as a "cheaper" alternative to the IIs, far less effective but you could get many more of them. When it came to Spartan IIs, they were almost impossible to replenish because it takes the maturation time of a child to an adule before they're ready for deployment. Spartan IIIs offered the possibility of people a bit older than just children but still served as a soldier still leagues greater than ODSTs. But yes. The origibal purpose for the spartan project as a whole, was to erase the insurrection, only to be modified to face against the covenant when they became a threat
@@justinpriebe6737spartan III’s are usually used as suicide units if I remember correctly, especially characters like emile and the rest of noble team (excluding jorge)
Kid, your just mad that the most emotional part of Halo that people can actually relate to, as well as the best internal stories, just happen to be the parts that where made in Japan. Complain if you want, but for those of us who like Halo because of it's story and not the violent video game element this is the best part of the franchise.
also, she made the Spartans BEFORE the covenant were discovered as Mendez said, while she did save humanity, she had no moral justification at the beginning, the oni officer who arrested Halsey was questioned by Halsey "why now?" and she responded with: "Because you couldn't flout the law and human decency one minute longer" "You were always on borrowed time, whether you realized it or not" - best quote ever and it does describe Halsey very well.
Well, except for those fine fellows on Grey Team who were trained separately from the rest of the Spartans precisely because they didn't give a crap about the indoctrination. Still, it's worth noting that both Daisy and Grey Team stuck firmly with the UNSC once the war with the Covies started.
Dwyer 2000 they fucked up when they said they were done with halo 😂 Bungie betrayed us but I hope they come back they are the only ones who really know halo.
i don't find it okay to kidnap kids and force them to go to their eventual deaths, spartan-III's i was more okay with because they were orphans and revenge hungry
i'd prefer the orphans, you forget that the spartan-II's had a lot more training than the III's also i think there were 300 spartans not 800, they didn't have the funding for that many. They didn't have a lot of time to train the spartan III's than the II's either.
Halsey is what’s called “a moral grey character that isn’t really, grey, but just constantly shifting between black and white” she sometimes feels regret for her actions but other times she defends them proudly
3:44 This is a critical situation she's in, and she stops to say, "Wait, I know that voice." Couldn't she save it for -when- if she got off planet? She's a goddamn Spartan 2, she should know that reuniting with an old friend is not her highest priority at the moment.
This isn't close to an anime, it is an anime. Halo Legends is made by 6 different actual anime studios. The guys who made this episode are the same ones who made the Ghost in The Shell TV series, Psycho-Pass, and Guilty Crown..
Jacq Wasp America is full of people of different ethnicities. I'm a Japanese American and I know a ton of Americans of European heritage that can draw anime better than me.
Yeah but from spartans III there were only 4 survivors from the 900. And Alpha lost all of their members in the first Op? Beta lost all but 2 another mute for rest of her life. And the last company has 3 on Onyx, i have no idea how much on other Op's. But S III had 3 Op's and they lost over 800 spartans. Spartan II lost about 60 in 40 years. So yeah, id rather kidnap elite kids than have unstable and un-suitable kids as volunteers.
And all but 7 out of over 900 were wiped out compared to the four left from the 75 Spartan II's. And that's because they took on missions with little or no backup.
i never said they were good, they had different argumentations, they were cheaply made soldiers, most soldiers had SPI armor which is just like the Mark IV so it has less protection than the Mark V or V[B] used in reach, also they were trained less as well.
@@xenomang3149 and also because ONI would likely never approve, as if they found out they had cloned children and sent them to war Itd be probably even more unethical than taking normal kids
Except it doesn't make sense in this. There were no augmentations until they were 14, all they had was intensive training. Also all the Spartan 2's after augmentation were the finest of them all, there were only around 30 Spartans that weren't disfigured from augmentation. The Spartans that were fit from there wouldn't run away they were the Spartan 2's that everyone feared from 14 onward. Plus they were all on Reach, they can't have gone home. And apparently this can still be called cannon.
Evan Bell Negative. The Spartan II's did undergo extreme genetic modification, and suffered something like a 60% mortality, 70% casualty rate as a result of augmentation. The Spartan III's underwent biochemical augments only They were less capable, but safer and cheaper to produce and therefore more expendable. I don't recall of the III's received neural implants across the board, or only the non-suicide units.
Its a fairly old one, and this episode was made by a fairly small and unexperienced studio. If you want to check out the best of anime art and animation, check out Studio Bones or Studio Trigger. Studio bones made the Prototype episode for this anime, while studio trigger is renowned in the anime community for it's simple art style.
Guys, guys its ok. You don't need to be forced to sub to some guy that says, "Unless you sub I wont give the rest of the episode. The whole episode come be found right here. /watch?v=1BK9HQYmzQk Your welcome
Good question, but I’m pretty sure that it’s because the cloning technology would make their minds not as sharp and flash clones usually developed terminal illnesses shortly after their creation
not going to release the second until you hit enough subscribers huh? well shucks guess I will have to...wait a minute...WHAT'S THIS?! another youtube uploader has posted the second part already?! well gosh darnit I don't know what I want to do now?
i have took some time of gaming videos to upload another halo reach video and aparently the soundtrack is banned sorry people blame the people who banned it
master cheif was a spartan 2, nuff said :) also it was 300 Spartans, that's also partly why there called Spartans. based on the elite soldier who thought of an entire army with 300 men.
They probably couldn't make the clones as intelligent as actual people. My guess is that the clones akin to a less intelligent animal with no strong intuition or self-awareness. Who knows?
