The only thing is if you wanted to have a spartan child with spartan & spartan genes you would have to take two male sperm and then use an egg as simply the place where the fetus can grow without any of the genetic material. So basically if you want to have a fully spartan child running around the child will have to come from two men (at least in the first generation) after the first generation of spartan children are created then you could create children with an egg and a sperm assuming that a female child was born from the original 2 sperm process.

well i've also read an article about this same matter, and iv'e found that spartans ii and iii where affected "more" by the augmentation process, because some of them were kids (like 7-10 years old) the augmentations interfered whit the development of their "adult" urges, even some of them are incapable of feeling love or attachment to someone, there was even an spartan ii who didn't care much about her own father (yeah, she found her father and she didn't care), but those "problems" are no longer present in spartans iv, like the video said, they are the first generation of augmentated adults.

There’s only one canon mention of a Spartan who retired from the UNSC and had a family, including halo 5 she still remains as the only spartan to actually retire and live a relatively normal human life, her name is petty officer second class Spartan-062 Maria, a Spartan II.

Halsey did engineer the ability to have children into the Spartan program. She did afterall view those children as the next step in human evolution so it would make sense for their bloodlines to continue. Also look at Maria 062. No way ONI or the UNSC would allow a rare asset like a Spartan II retire in their prime unless they WANTED to see if a viable breeding program was possible for next gen Spartans.

The Spartan 1s had children in I Love Bees. They kept there augments and one couple were both Spartans. They had a daughter, Jan, and they imply when she was a baby she was partially augmented with some sort of injection. She has greater bone density among other things. She was also trained by her father but even as a child she was a natural prodigy, almost getting abducted into the Spartan 2 program. As a Spartan 1 though her father knew the rumors of the Spartan child abductions and so they would often move and in one case he killed the agent sent to abduct her. BTW I want Halo Follower to Cover I Love Bees.

dave shoe But, just how well would the augmentations transfer from generation to generation like would the chemical augmentations become more and more diluted or would some augmentations negatively affect their bodies as they are designed to withstand some augmentations, and for the Spartan-IV's it is even weirder as they have whole organs replaced to help them survive in possible deadly environment should the situation arise.

I think this has always been a part of what's driven Cortana crazy, she's unbridled human emotion with no constraints beyond not being completely physical, whereas Chief has a constrained, physical presence. While he's barely maintained his sense of family and camaraderie through fellow Spartans, she's been the closest "human" interaction to maintain his psychological stability as a person. Her quest was keeping John human and I think it still is, she confronts him with all aspects of what it means to be human, helping him realize what he is. I just hope she doesn't need to die at the end of it all, it would be nice for her and John to have one last mission to realize each other. Maybe Mendicant will wrest control of the domain from her and resume his previous mission of when he was rampant against the forerunners, leaving Cortana and John to team up perhaps needing to sacrifice themselves to save the galaxy. I hope they live and Cortana can be re-composed in a human form, THAT would be a neat ending but it's doubtful.

IF the master chief was to die at any point, I think it would be much more interesting if a post rampancy Cortana rather controlled his armor, or created a mechanical body, taking the persona of the master chief. Like in Marathon where Durandel surpassed his rampancy and entered a state of total self awareness and unchained freedom, Cortana could choose to "resurrect" her fallen friend, redeeming her character, and righting her wrongs. This would also be similar to Mendicant Bias, who after a forced rampancy by the Gravemind, waited thousands of years to regain control of himself, and aided the master chief from behind the scenes in Halo 3. I think AI has always been one of the most important topics of Halo.

I actually found this video about whether Spartans are able to have children or not to be rather interesting instead of weird. I never thought whether the augmentations that the Spartans go through will affect their biology or not until now so good work on the video :)
