Just ran into this, but i made this video in high school. Literally, this is my Final project video. lost my original youtube account ages ago, good to see this lived on.
ZeFrankz nice. Yeah I remember seeing this back in like 2011. I was starting to get into ost’s from old video games I used to play back then and this was one of them. So seeing this now brings back some good ole memories from back then.
I've been watching this video as a kid growing up playing Halo, and now even as a grown man I'm still vibing to this and feeling like a kid, this has a special place in my heart as it is connected to my childhood
@@naughtybear5068Microsoft are pathetic. They should have never taken down halo 3 servers. Halo mcc servers are a joke. Made Halo 3 not fun anymore. Hit detection is abysmal
Being 14 when this and Halo 2 dropped.. and then getting Halo 3 three years later at 17.. what a time to be alive. I'm so grateful for that time period.. might've been the happiest years of my life.
I couldn't wait to get home from my job at culvers making $5.25 an hour to go home and play Forged on Halo3. Still remember it like it was fuckin yesterday. I saved up 2 paychecks to get my own xbox360 since my parents wouldnt get it for me.
I just want to be 14 or 15 again playing Zombies, Tower of power or, glitching out the map in halo 2 or, to be 17 again making maps in forge, playing Griff ball or screaming at my team mates in halo 3 while knowing I had the summer or the weekend or the night away from responsibilities just one more time.... give me 24 hours of that freedom and I'll be good for a lifetime.
I can still remember to this day playing Halo 2 Co-Op with my childhood best friend Josh. Walking into the Mausoleum of the Arbiter on Gravemind, the ambient intro playing and then the guitars coming in like thunder. Me and Josh looked at each other with the biggest smiles on our face and both said at the same time “Fuck Yeah” and started slaying some aliens. Legendary moment that I will always remember.
The very first time I played halo... With my father. My father who taught me light from dark... And who kept me from turning to the dark side...he showed me that humanities greatest goal was to survive, and bring peace to all things. To win the war, to snuff out the darkness... Finish the fight. In loving memory of Jason Wade Davis... Brave spartan Warrior, and Nobel Jedi Master.... Real life disposer of those who hurt children. The original ghost, the unsung hero. He taught me how to do what he could... He is why I don't camp in coners... He's why I run directly into the fray, my life on the line, and my shields draining... On the last level of halo three after your Pelican crashes and the flood shows up. I jump down on top of the first, assault rifle blasting away at the combat form below me. It comes up fast as I drop. My melee pushes it into the ground, and I snap my aim up, ready to fire on another target. I fight them all till they stop coming... Eventually I take their gravity hammer and a brute shot and climb the structure. This, is how Spartans fight, fast, brutal, and decisive. They called me a real spartan... And when I moved on to mount and blade they had a different name then demon... They called me... Vampire. Unworldly strength, speed. Reaction times nearly instant. Only those born with the gift could match me. I had forgotten why I fought... I had forgotten where my power came from. Thank you, father.... May the force be with you, always.
The story is still great as ever. I used to love the community of Halo. Now it's horrible. I've always loved the game itself. It's the people that's the problem.
Being a gamer is too mainstream now, there's no one making games like they did in the early 2000s. It's just not possible, culture has shifted. I'm glad these videos exist, reminds us how far we've come for better or worse.
i remember finding this vid (or i think this was the vid) back in the day and this was when odst was released (iirc idk its a bit fuzzy),and blow me away was on the radio while i was watching this vid. legit unlocked a core memory
Damn this brings back so many memories, 6 am-3am online play lol , 48 hr 16 player lan parties, going to the mlg tournaments fuck man those were the days. I was a die hard halo fan but stoped after halo 3.
My older brother showed me this video about 8 to 10 years ago it was probably my first time ever hearing metal music and I absolutely fell in love with it I was in elementary school back then I'm now going to be a junior in highschool, I'm glad he should me this video, without it I probably wouldn't be me today
I'm not gonna lie, this is the video that hooked me. I'd played Halo 3 at a cousin's house, but this is what got me invested. Thank you for making this.
I miss when halo music had soul nowadays, its just... *Pseudo inspirational corporately produced pad and guitar* imagine hearing something like this in a big combat arena or at the end of a matchmade game on Halo Infinite
I remember watching this back in 2009 when I was 7 after discovering Halo from the new Halo Wars Mega Bloks sets at the time. I guess it was right place, right time since if it weren't for this video, the toys and machinimas ok RU-vid, I don't think I would've had the same love for Halo as I do today (also coming from someone who didn't grow up with an Xbox).
Justo en la infancia :') Ví este mismo video cuando tenía 10 años y ahora escuché de casualidad la canción, así que lo volví a buscar :3 Me hizo recordar cuando de niños jugaba con mi mejor amigo T-T
I played halo 2 when it first came out when i was a kid and when i saw this video it reminded me of halo back when the video uploaded, i replayed halo 2 and then halo 1 for the first time, i played the whole series and my god i couldn't have had better childhood memories than playing this with the homies!
😭😢😭😢...eata canción la escuche hace 6 años y me trae muy buenos recuerdos...como quisiera qje saquen mas juegos iguales o parecidos al HALO 3...simplemente el mejor... Gracias a todos esos buenos momdntos
I remember watching this video shortly after Halo Reach came out... Time flies... Damn... I was like 9 or 10 at the time... Got a job, had 3 girlfriends, got fired, got another job... It's amazing how much things change, yet how little...
This music reminds me of my good college years, playing Xbox until late on weekends and spending hours with the music playing in the background while studying.
I'm rocking to this song while playing Halo Infinite it feels so good to have Halo back at the top of it's game I feel like I'm back in 09 playing Halo 3!
Love Halo 2 and Reach but the flood holy buckets those little buggers kept bringing everything back to life but it was always fun to kill everthing again
I started my Metal journey in 2nd year of High School because of this video. 13 Years later, working heavy in Game Industry and Still \m/\m/ as fck! Found my wife because of our love for music and now I can't wait for my child to come to this world and start banging his lil head to epic tracks like this one. Thank you HALO! Thank you Breaking Bennjamin!
Humanity doesnt really feel like its struggling very much in the new halos, if they add more danger to humanity to halo 6, as if they were going to destroy earth with another composer it would be a great much greater threat and it would be a bit interesting
@@BlastCODM I wish. There's this one guy who did a lot of good pieces for halo 5, don't remember his name. If it was just him doing the music I'd be fine but it's a bunch of randoms
Crazy how we all share this common memory and nostalgia. All it will take is the right RU-vid video to have the master chief collection servers flooded, with halo 3 lobbies like the good old days. See you guys there.
I saw one of my classmates watching this video back in 4th-5th grade before I properly became familiar with English as a second language. I had no idea what Halo was back then, only that I thought the song was cool and the visuals were amazing, heh. Needless to say, I asked for how to find it, which lead to a decent amount of rewatches. It feels... interesting to rediscover it again.
Wow, I like this song from BB and I like this animationfilm (I know what a lot of work is in it). But you got five stars from me for your interpration and fantastic cut to this musik. Great job
