Halo Reach Birth of a Spartan Extended Live-Action Trailer
This is the Halo Reach: "Birth of a Spartan" extended live-action trailer in hd.
(Sorry this video is a little late, but it's still worth putting up for any subscribers that haven't seen it yet.)
Halo: Reach is the next installment of the Halo franchise to be released in Fall 2010 on Sept. 14. Reach will be a full-fledged sequel to Halo 3. Though, in the Halo timeline, it's really a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. As the fourth full-fledged Halo game from Bungie, it's basically the Halo 4 everyone was waiting for and likely to be the last Halo game made by Bungie.
Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter, taking place during Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: First Strike, when there are many Spartan-IIs still in action.
The developer is the newly spun-off Bungie and the publisher is still Microsoft Game Studios. In the split agreement Microsoft retained the rights to the Halo franchise, which means it will still be an Xbox 360 exclusive game. Because of the split, any future Halo games are likely to be made in house by Microsoft.

@NicktheSassymonster These particular Spartans, are the Spartan-IIIs who were recruited from Earth's destroyed colonies. They're all war orphans who decided to choose to become Spartans as a way to fight back against the Covenant.

@ThelostGod8 when the spartan 2's finished training, the covenant were not out and about yet, the spartans were still after innies. However, after the covanent destroyed harvest, the spartan project was revitalized becuase of its success, all bonus funding not essencial to warfare was put on hold and funding was routed to all means of defence, including the spartan project

@buba132 no, the spartan threes were planned to start right after the spartan 2's, but they got a budget cut and put the program on hold, then once the covenant attacked and the war started, the project was brought back up after reviewing the success of the spartan 2 project

From what I remember about the book, there was a considerable amount of ground combat around certain areas of the planet, as the covenant were looking for another damn artifact. Thus, depending on the storyline of the campaign, this game can still stay relatively true to the book. Of course I haven't read the books in a long time, but that's just what I remember from them (also, the spartan with my namesake dies on Reach :( ) I hope they show some of the space battle though at least!

i think this represents carter, the leader from noble team. i say this because if you look at the armor at the end and his armor on other videos its exactly the same.

@NicktheSassymonster All of the Spartan-IIs were hand picked by Halsey. The Spartan-IIIs were developed by...Colonel James Ackerson, I think.

@jchao4m Yeah, it's gay how they're not even trying to remain true to the story told in the novel, I mean, judging from the trailers and explanations I've seen... In this game the Covenant aren't even attacking Reach the same way... Most of the battle was fought in Space above Reach (in the novel, which pre-dates this game), but in this game, it looks like there's a long, massive campaign and lots of fighting on Reach itself..
