@@isaacvidales6143 sadly we couldnt have jorge armor because it was either to heavy or he just didnt want to make it, so it was Emile, Kat, Carter, and Noble 6
Cam Thiessens And the Covenant killed one of the UNSC's best team (Noble), glassed planet Reach (The birthplace of creating Spartans), and killed the 2nd Spartan in history besides Master Chief that was classified as "Hyper-Lethal" with an army of infantry Elite troops (Noble 6). I don't know about you, but this campaign was awesome and full of epic.
palindinX Have you ever read the novels? Reach's campaign was BULLSHIT and broke Halo canon in every single way. If the game had followed the book it would've been about a million and eighty-three times more epic than the shit heap we got. FUCK YOU BUNGIE. (yeah, I went there.)
its insulting to the lore how easy they are to kill in halo5 and 4. reach was fun because elites could bum rush your position and u know your fucked xD
Sticky fun fact: Carter is actually 10 years older than kat, and its been theorized kat and six had a relationship once because they came from the same platoon or regiment, as well as being the same age.
@@lukasreina7951 Wort is just Sergeant Johnson saying " Go go go " reversed and distorted a bit, actually. S'how they got the sounds for a lot of the alien cries.
Elites on Steroids. They will dodge incoming plasma pistol bursts, they will dodge grenades, they will armor lock, and they know your every move. Every high ranking elite felt like a boss battle.
This inspired me to try playing through reach on legendary. A feat I’d never tried until now... Rangers and zealots have gifted me with ptsd induced anxiety attacks every time I see them now. But I did it.
@@40godummy59 it still holds up. It’s so cool that each game raised the bar with each installment... Then halo 4 tripped and died but let’s not talk about that.
The Sanghelli Field Marshall was one of the most underrated villains in halo. Most people probably don’t even know that this guy is singlehandedly responsible for the death of Kat and partially responsible for the death of Emile. I just think that it’s crazy that this guy had several encounters with noble team and most people might not of noticed. The closest thing the game had to a main antagonist.
It was probably just a passing thought because with the look of the elite being so similar to other officer elite's people probably just blew it off as a different elite each time I guess
@@markofcomms if you look closely that was a regular Zealot not the Field Marshall. I say partially because while he was not the one who did the deed the elite that killed Emile was acting on his orders making him somewhat responsible for Emile’s death.
Remember when in reach, one elite on mythic difficulty could kill you without you even getting the chance to shoot it? Good times... makes me realizes just how powerful the old covenant was to the new covenant. I have yet to beat Reach on legendary, and I've beaten both 4 and most of 5 on legendary... and I've had Reach for 5 years.
I beat this game on legendary with Tough Luck Catch Grunt B-DAY IWHBYD Cowbell Tilt Mythic & Famine on... It was hellish, took a long time but felt goood
You hear through an earpiece you didn't even know you had "5! 6! CLEAR THE HOLE" as suddenly your dog runs off into the dark and you hear Covenant screaming
Imagine that last part of the mission after the engaged cutscene as a whole first-person cinematic with this background music while Noble Six beats the shit out of those elites with Jorge helping him
As soon as this started playing i was like. "OH CRAP FRIGGIN FIELD MARSHALL WITH AN ENERGY SWORD IM FRIGGIN SCREWED!" "5, 6 clear the hole" "NO PLS GOD NO DONT MAKE ME FIGHT IT D:"
I remember the first time I played this game I got one shotted by the energy sword elite in this mission and was too scared to go fight it again so I just replayed the first mission for like three months
@@minaryte5669 Hahaha and yet here i was hoping he pulls his energy sword out instead of his ranged weapon cuz on legendary the reach elites just delete you
While everyone talks how much halo 2 Jackels and Reach Zealots and Field Marshall give PTSD. A squad of 4 Ultras all armed with Concussion Rifles . . . . That was true Terror
I haven't been able to play Reach's campaign until recently because of MCC, but I've seen clips of Reach's campaign and saw the one where this song first plays and by God, that song would NOT get out of my head for years. Still plays in my head occasionally and I'm sad it took me this long to find the song now.
Is it's just me or were the elites super hard to take down back then now it's just shoot them for 2 seconds then punch but back then they dodged every thing you throw at them
In 5's cutscenes the elites do not act like elites. In the cutscene after the first mission, one of Jul's Zealots just lumbers toward Vale like he weighs 10 tons
+Samuel Franco We all know the different species shit was an excuse for making terrible elites that are clumsy as all fuck. Because Arbiter shouldn't look like he does in Halo 5 if that's the case
The Elites in Reach look like the ones found in Halo 4 and Halo 5. I don't see what you're complaining about. :P The elites you're referring to are probably from H1-H3 only.
I don't know why but I imagine a group of elites running around a school, killing people with their bare hands and shouting WORT WORT WORT, when I hear this song.
If reach had a mission that involved a chase, this theme would fit so well with it. An elite zealot and his squad have stolen important information, and it is up to Noble team to give chase throughout the facility to prevent the elites escape. The facility is under attack by the covenant while this is happening. The buildings shakes and gunfire can be heard throughout the entire facility.
Have to admit in Halo MCC there is another rank of Elite that, if I remember correctly, was not in Reach. The Officer rank. Has red glowy bits on his armor that looked nice with black
