this is the midnight launch party of Halo: Reach on September 14, 2010 at a Gamestop in Chula Vista, CA. counting down the final seconds until the release of the most badass game of all time.
Times flies, I was 14 when Halo Reach came out and remember sneaking out of my last lesson at school to get home early after getting a text from my dad that the game had arrived...
@@Yuiiski- 😂 I just started playing halo again after last playing in 2014. Playing halo 5 is pretty fun but unexpected to me. I really only played up to halo reach. I didn’t think they would change the ads. LIKE AT ALL.
Damn 10 years ago? I played the hell out of this game when I was younger. Good times man time flies like a mf. If you’re young rn enjoy that shit please. make the best memories you can.
This shit was lit. I went to my local midnight release with by elder brother. 14 years old, parents let me have the next day off of school, and was bullshiting with other kids in line. Good times. I hope Halo Infinite has something like this. With the way the country is going. People need to go back to simpler stuff. Personal interaction. This push for online only shit pisses me off. They are trying to create a reclusive society.
This comment is exactly how I feel. To much stuff changed in the decade. Back then was simple and fun. Comparing back then to now seems like a whole different world.
I had moved into Phoenix that year and hadn’t transferred into a new school yet so I got to experience the midnight launch and play all night because I didn’t have school the next morning lol
oh man time flies. i was just 8 when this game came out and quickly became my favorite game of all time same with bo1. really wish i was a kid again to enjoy my childhood i grew up way to fast.
Back when game launches were actually cool. Downloading a digital game a few hours before launch isn’t fun, it’s lame as fuck. Buying a physical game in person was so awesome, especially when you’d been waiting so long for it to come out
Same I was only 7 when it released. My brother played the beta when it came out and I watched him play it all the time. Then when it released, he brought it home in a gamestop bag. I watched him play it and I was mesmerized. I thought it was so cool. So I waited until I was alone one day and i played it on my account (i didnt have xbox live). I played the whole campaign start to finish and I died a lot lol. But I had a blast. It is still one if my favorite games to play. And I have it downloaded on my xbox one.
The death of physical media really will be a tragedy. Does anyone know if midnight releases are even a thing anymore? Given when a game releases you can just download it from the online market places on release? Even when you pre order a physical disc it tends to come like 24 hours before release day.
This is the result of gaming companies getting games right. Make a great game with soul and not a game full of microtransactions, subscriptions and all that bs cancer. Halo 3 used to be incredible and an absolute masterpiece of a game and the best Halo ever made imo. I never played Reach and good because it looks like dog shit, spartans running, armour lock wtf is that bs? Reach is when Halo started dying.
