No matter which Fandom it is SODAZ will always be a legendary animator and story teller, even if he will never come back to the warhammer scene and I don't blame him after what happened, I still follow him because of the talent he has, this is a masterpiece

"SODAZ came back" Correction, he never left. He been on that constant grind months after months, updating his viewers with each steps he took on his journey instead of going silent until the end product. And I am proud to be there all the way. "He should of been picked up by someone" After the bullshit GW put him through and the toxic part of the 40k community turned on him? Nah. I am glad he is his own boss and not being told what he can and can't do by a soulless profit driven entity.

Man seeing all the WIPs that SODAZ kept putting out and see this animation finally come together has been something special to see. Also, every veteran Halo player probably felt something pull at them during those final scenes.

I love how its not just the Spartans thats kicking ass. You see even Marines landing hits.

This is what happens when someone care about the established universe in which they are making a story.

I really like Sodaz pretty much told us a side story within Reach. Of course, the whole ending is another "POV" with the MAC gun Noble 6 shooting down the corvette then to the Pillar Of Autumn leaving and showing MC in cryo. It's generally sick what Sodaz has done, even for the Halo community I would say

The best part is like, 90% of the voice lines you hear in this are from Halo Reach alone. I adore all the time and effort Sodaz put into this. Finding some of the cut audio files to use them in this had to take a -lot- of time, and that's on top of the animating / posing time already.

what i especially love is the attention to detail sodaz had for this like at 4:50 with the marine laying on the ground shooting the elite you can see the bullet counter on the assault rifle go from 14 to 0

I don't think sodaz realizes how starved halo fans are for content...and content like this sits at the top no question

This is the single best animation Sodaz has ever done, everything is just perfect.

They were there when Reach fell. They held the line for the Pillar of Autumn to escape the Covenant. Although none of them survived, these Spartans have the untold story. Of their rise, and their fall.

Reach was one of the first battles I ever took part in, I wish I could have saved more people.

Seeing how far SODAZ has come makes me realize just how much Games Workshop fucked up.

While the covenant may have won the battle and destroyed reach, they had no idea that letting that ship escape just lost them the war. Fcken beautiful.

when a 25 minute fan animation done by one guy and funded by Patreon is better than your multi billion dollar TV series you have a problem.

God what an awesome video by Sodaz. This was an absolute tribute to halo, and full of passion that a certain company never had with it.

Absolute love the scene with the spartans just running into Battle. Reminds me of the scene from infinity war with Black Panther and Capt America running into battle.

I'm super glad SODAZ moved over to Halo, that's been my favorite universe since my age was a single digit.

This animation is honestly better then most of what 343 has made, story and animation wise.

God, this story perfectly represents the Convenant and the fall of reach, exactly how it happened but from a different perspective entirely, still able to make a tragically beautiful making of Halo. I just absolutely LOVE it in the entirety, i wish i could see more of it, aswell as the continued telling of the Red spartan too

The Noble Six reference at the end was amazing. I want to see Sodaz do a video on Noble Six's final stand

I loved this greatly ,the tank warfare wasn't bad i know its not a focus but i like me tank !! Good story progression, still SC2siege tanks to me are some of the best in my humble opinion

What also hits is the sniper and the female odst helmet spartan might've been a thing. If you notice, he's been covering her specifically a lot.

Fun fact: all the spartains in this scene (save the jetpack one, I think) appear in halo reach. They are bodies you find in the very last level of the game, Lone Wolf. You look armor abilities off of them...then die holding out on the same grounds with them. A graveyard of heroes.

People also forget that early UNSC ships were UNSHIELDED meaning that any hit to the hull was a direct hit too the hull

It’s nice to see the grunts o. The ground getting their fair share of the spotlight, where Spartans are the 40K space marines where it’s cool seeing a six foot tall super human slaughter their way though waves upon waves of alien filth, but for your average joe with his gun and pure luck, it’s a completely different story where when a single Spartan was able to deal with a single hunter, imagine what would’ve happened if the soldiers had to deal with the problem themselves and outside of anti tank weapons not that well. And even the details of f the rain pouring off the armor as they’re looking into the nights sky as anti aircraft emplacements light up the sky and it’s in these slower moment where we get to enjoy and relate to the poor person as their city is being destroyed.

This has to be the most in depth halo space battle ever and again it’s sad, yes seeing marines fighting g for their lives is far more interesting than watching a ship explode, but considering that the UNSC had to loose five ships just to take down one covenant ship says a lot on just how bad humanity was being handed especially In space, vs in the ground where the UNSC stood a reasonable chance of winning, but all of that’s practically pointless if you don’t have orbital superiority In Which case the covenant would simply bombard any heavily defended positions via orbital bombardment

Never been a Halo-bro. I grew up with PC and Halo always was a console thing to me even after it started to come to PC. SODAZ did more to get me interested and invested in Halo than any of the official stuff ever did. I don't know what else needs to be said.

Is it bad I want to see Tau thay use energy blades like the Zealots? Let's be real, guards for the Ethereals using what are basically lightsabers would be pretty cool.

I do like the classic UNSC armor compared to the more rounded goofier newer ones.

This did a better job of portraying Reach from the books than a game made to retell its story. That minute fleet battle sequence is some of the best I've ever seen if not *the* best. SODAZ managed to make me feel more for this group of nameless Spartans, Helljumpers, Marines/Troopers and civilians than Halo: Reach could with its hours long campaign. Much as I despise how "NOBLE" team gets shoehorned into the Halo trilogy's story and how the game makes a mockery of the UNSC's competence I must admit, I could feel the heart strings being strummed when the mass driver fired and so on...

I don't think she survived, she was mortally wounded at the bottom of a cliff on a covenant occupied world that we know eventually gets glassed, i'm pretty sure she's dead

I've yet to do a review on the subject material, so I'll keep this review relatively short and will cover the reaction rather than the video being reacted to - As a younger person who grew up with Halo 3, this video reminds me of when I would watch the cutscenes from the games with my father. Good times. - You do a lot more than most reaction channels, but not so much it's unrealistic and exaggerated. It feels much more like you're just expressing your thoughts as they happen - I, too, was geeking out when I first watched the video. SODAZ is extremely talented. This is less of a review point and more of a personal note - You make your opinions on the video very clear, audibly and visually - You say oof a lot, this isn't a negative, just an observation. In a scripted video, this would be a negative, but since this is an unscripted reaction, it is excused - Again, I'm thankful that you don't conduct yourself in the same copy and pasted way I've seen from most reaction channels, constantly just repeating what's happening and saying "Did you guys see that?" or a variation of it - I don't know if you caught it, but the part with the ODST staring into the sky is (to me) an obvious homage to Halo 3: ODST, especially with Deference for Darkness playing (part of the ODST OST), the rain, and the nighttime setting - Another thing I'm not sure if you caught, but almost all of the music he uses in this video is directly from the Halo games, which brings back a lot of nostalgia for those who recognize their tracks in the first few beats, eg. when the Elite Spec-Ops arrive and sword that unlucky marine, Clear the Hole (Not sure if that's the official name, just what I call it) from when Noble Team are ambushed by zealots in Reach plays. - Once again, explaining something I'm not sure if you caught onto. The Supercarrier that was shot down in the end is supposed to be the same one shot down by Noble Six at the end of Halo Reach, and combined with the classic Halo score as it's revealed is just such a huge fan service and made me giddy. Final Verdict: I'm not often a fan of reactions, as they tend to fit into one of two categories; Mostly quiet and emotionless, essentially just watching the video yourself with a stranger onscreen, or way overdone where they exaggerate every facial movement to the point it's ridiculous. This video hits a sweet spot in between that I rarely see with this kind of content. 8.5/10
