Great video. I didn't think we would have another update for the MCC, now all we need is to fix some remaining issues in the games to have the perfect preservation project for Halo.
I hope this means we’re going to see more updates soon, as they have to fix at least the issues that came from their update before last with Halo Reaches lighting glare which was never originally there and Halo 2 classics audio is still scuffed missing sound and music cues.
They need to fix campaign performance on one x and series x consoles. This has been a persistent issue since Reach launched on PC and has only gotten worse with time. If these performance issues are related to the 4K aspect of the game on these consoles, then they need to implement a performance option or manual resolution selection so I can actually play these campaigns at 60fps. Specifically talking about H2A but all games suffer from stuttering and other performance issues as well, except H4.
@@joewhitlow5799 Somehow I never got the memo that they updated MCC to support 120fps. So I switched my display settings and hopped on H2A campaign and went to the areas that usually perform the worst (the large, open areas in delta halo and the great journey, and the rooftops of outskirts). There's still very noticeable frame dropping but nowhere near as bad as it is in 60fps mode. I don't understand this dark voodoo but it's wild to me that this game handles 120fps way better than it handles 60fps. One would think it would be the other way around.
THE AUDIO IS STILL FUCKED. Please bring attention to this, I cannot FATHOM how this is still an issue. It renders the classic campaign basically unplayable.
@@SoulbentAnime that’s what I don’t understand. They spent all that time and did such a great job with the fixes but didn’t think to fix the audio first? Because like I said, it renders the game unplayable and in turn renders their fixes more or less pointless atm.
Which ones? Because they did fix a lot of graphical issues around 2020-2022 in multiple updates, focusing on fixing HCE Gearbox & Halo2Vista legacy graphical issues. why even did multiple videos about it over the years that you can check out. If there are more issues still remaining it's good to be specific & concrete, only way devs will know what to look for to patch, if they still can.
@@Stormbringer02 Ah gotcha, yeah I hear 'Combat Evolved' and I think the classic one, I vaguely remember now the mentions of issues with anniversary graphics, don't think this patch or a semirecent previous one dealt with those? I'm honestly surprised we even got this patch, some news last year made it sound like not only had almost everyone been fired in 343 but also the MCC team moved away from MCC support.
