Not a cutter/arby?! WHAT A RARE FIND!! good game. :) btw, really appreciate what you've done. It means a lot to me. In case you didn't know, you're one of the reasons I started making these videos.
No problem. Glad to help. I never really experienced the slow beginning growth that many people have to endure, so I just try to do what I can for other Halo Wars guys. Before I even had a cap card I had about 200 subs due to the people I was surrounded by. All I ask is you pass it forward if you're ever put in the position for someone else :).
The year is 20XX. Everyone that still plays halo wars plays cutter/arby at robotic levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on host. The rock, paper, scissors metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.
What can I say haha. Cutter/Arby is likely the final meta for the game, as it's held strong for at least 2 years now (take away a 1 month stint of Anders/Brute). At this point, metas for every playlist are largely agreed upon. At least until HW2 ;)
All other console RTS's are terrible, and I'm not really interested in say Starcraft. Even if I were, there are already so many better people at Starcraft than me that my videos wouldn't even be remotely relevant. I stick to Halo Wars because I enjoy it and can be on of the top players that gives "tips". I have a ton of time in other games like CoD and H3, but I'm not really good enough for those to be relevant as far as making videos either.
It's been like that for over a year. The thing is, Halo Wars still gets around 2.5k population on school breaks (well, counter is stalled a 975 or something but it's not the real count), while C&C is truly dead. I mean even people like Marco was still pulling 3-4k views a video near the end of his run on Halo Wars vids. I don't make these for the views, but it's nice to still get about 700-1.2k per video. Anyways, looks like you have a nice little following. Congrats on that.
