In this mission, Red Team and Sergeant Forge successfully prevent the Covenant from defusing their makeshift bomb to make the planet go supernova, but it comes at a cost as Sergeant Forge must stay behind to detonate the bomb manually. In mission, we are given very few troops and a Firebase and must prevent the Flood and the Covenant from eliminating our base; on top of that, we have a timer given by Sergeant Forge that requires us to escape the planet otherwise he must destroy the core. However, there is a bright side, this mission is relatively simple and might be one of the easier missions for you to do. @@A2AxPhoenix for some of the missions is it better to go the Higher true units or mass lower teir

@@dollface2907 I would say it depends. Like sometimes you want to mass a counter to a unit that is awful. I typically say general use units are good most of the time. If you see a lot of a specific unit though (like hunters), I'd say adapt appropriately. It comes down to realizing what you need and planning for that while anticipating the problems that could result.

This game has a lot of frustrating issues from mission structure like this one where you can get lost on the objectives to the lack of proper short cuts on keyboard controls

I beat halo wars for the first time (on easy, since I never played it before) and this level was the hardest. It was especially annoying when the sentinels Started attacking my based and I kept running out of supplies

How are you so fast? Can you tell me how you use the hot keys for base and units?

If you're on the Xbox, you can use down on the dpad to move to your units. Left and Right on the dpad bounce you around to your bases. Other than that I use the speed camera to move around all over the place or to get somewhere nearby.

In Definitive Edition, I believe all cutscenes are viewable no matter the difficulty.

Here’s a some info on the enemy to help: The covenant start with one max base and two empty bases to each side. They are scripted to take them, but the north one gets stalled by small flood force and south is next to you. If you act fast, you can take that one. They eventually send an attack wave to all three locations at 4 min mark. This allows them to clear flood and claim north if you don’t first. Scarabs with mostly stay on center and can be dropped by activating switches. You may want to consider using pelican transport to hit switches early, but that leads to the second faction… Sentinels will spawn regular waves and randomly move to outer points. At any point they can fly your way and screw you. It’s random. Worse still, post patch buff them massively. But early on they are more likely to hit others. If you’re luck, they can clear a switch for you and open chance to drop a scarab. Scarab movement is more predictable. Flood start slow but bases regen and eventually they build endless thrashers. But that takes a long time.

Remember your base is a priority. Take your time, don't rush anything. Use special abilities when you have to and micro (take control of a squad or two) your forces if they take too much damage.
