I'm with you bud haha. Me and my friend are doing a chronological Halo Series run with all the 13 games out there. All have to be finished on Legendary with a couple exceptions on certain missions but yeah. We're almost done with Halo Wars but I forgot how fun this game was. Been studying strategies to see how I fair against other players for multiplayer when I'm bored haha.
how can the covenant counter scorpions if they come quickly enough, the problem with the balance is that the unsc can get their tech 2 units out before 4 minutes and there is simply no covenant counter except leaders
this is true, i dont understand how people brag about their veteran tank success stories and nobody finds it imbalanced that three units can win a game by themselves
You get your first scorpion at 3:15-3:45 depending on build. So you get 3 Tanks at 4:45-5:15, 3 Scorpion Tanks can do ALOT of damage and are hard to kill without Deployed cobras

1 tank doesn't = loss for the opponent. This morning I destroyed someone doing the same strategy as this and it was simply because I went warthogs first, then map expanded, and had spartans. He had fast tanks would retreat, and then i had tanks with my spartans, carpet bomb, harass his base with my 5 warthogs and he will just resign. I don't suggest building tanks 2-3 minutes because 1 to 2 tanks is easy to counter especially if you are against a hero.
the upgrade for the tank will still work and upgrade then build another vehicle depot in the space where the previous reactor was lock your base ( well i do ) then when you have a population maximum of 30 assuming you have lost your warthog you unlock your base ( if you have locked it ) it will come out with 10 tanks with the first upgrade in 7 to 8 minutes of the game my quickest was 7 minutes online and you should be attacking the enemy within 10 minutes with 10 tanks with the first Upgrade :)

And multiple Warthogs exploded into bits... 3 seconds later.... So we just Carpeted them and that finished them off.... lol fail that was a tank you just wasted lol.
most tank rushes i face are fails because they have no barracks or turrets, i scout them and get my leader to their base as their second reactor or depot is being built they are helpless
going 5 warthogs especially on this map helps you clean up all the crates, and you will be fast enough to harass your opponent and get what you need. I always suggest map expansion and crate stealing.
The Scorpion Rush was good. Just remember to fill up empty slots of land with supply pads. Another thing to take note is to also, go expand while rushing. So that in case your rush fails, you have a backup. I'm not one who takes gambles and spend everything on one rush. In this particular scenario, where u played Forge and your opponent played Anders. Your opponent should have won. He lost because he's a complete noob. Gremlins + spartans would have blown the Scorpion rush.
And then you can self destruct one of your vehicle depots then rebuild your reactor then upgrade it while your men are off attack or moving to an Enemies High Valued position then you can proceed to upgrade your tanks while they are attacking and if your quick enough and not Diverted by looking over your tanks while they Wreck Havoc over your opponents you can have grizzly up in 16 minutes my personal best was 13 minutes, Having grizzlies at the start of the game usually wins 9/10
this game annoys me wen i have noob kids on my team, this 1 kid was forge the whole match he had 1 base: 2 reactors 2 factorys 2 supply pads (1 was heavy) and a feild amory he had 3 scorps and 5 or 6 hogs soooo noooob i resignd
because scopion rushes dont seem like rushes, takes 5 minutes to get 3 tanks most people dont belive they are in rush range anymore and underestimate how powerfull a scopion tank realy is. =D
No flaws in this Plan besides the supply income in this i'm afraid, Instead of building 3 supply bads built 4 then build a Reactor at the back of the Base then proceed to purchase the upgrade for fortress then when you have 500 build another reactor then when it is complete build a Vehicle Depot get 1200 then purchase the upgrade for one for one of the reactor upgrades then when completed get the first upgrade for the tank then proceed to self destruct the reactor without the upgrade
Nice vid. buuuuut, the thing about this rush is that it is VERY counterable. Just make spartans! The main mistake of your enemy was that he didn't blocked his base, he was just spamming units to their inevitable death. Having a turret was good, but if he combined it with spartans and hijack 3 scorpions you would be dead. He was anders, why didn't he made a few gremlins? The scorp rush works better with some flamethrowers to kill the spartans trying to hijack you.
Some guy tried to rush me with scorpions (they were playing as forge). I then decided to just build hunters, thinking they would either rush me with warthogs or scorpions. and next thing i knew a scorpion and a couple warthogs were at my base. My hunters took every unit out and the guy resigned saying i glitched.
why in the hell was that guy making flamethrowers?? if he was smart he would have made spartans and gremlins; you only had like 3 scorpians attack at first. The Gremlins would stun the scorpians and the spartans would jack them! i don't know why the hell that guy made flamethrowers.
if u got the time to make grizzly(like 10-14mins) thats not even a rush. But grizzly are still really powerful and if u failed at the rush u still got a chance to upgrade to grizzly for a second plan=]
You were Forge during the rush..... That kinda tells them hey- That guys building tanks/grizzlies.... again you failed be Cutter that way you have $400 to upgrade your supply pads
Getting a tank at 3:01 Leaves you with poor economy, You have to constantly scout for cash to make scorpions with only 2 Supply pads. (unless you build more)
