This song has a lot of meaning. It’s about women empowerment. You should check out without me. That is her all time best song. Or you should se here sing live. She is better live I think. She has a unique voice.

I feel like you're kind of missing the point of the song and video...of course she looks great in the video, but you kept talking about bondage and other kinks...and that's really not what you're supposed to take away from this. You talked about everything but the lyrics, which (for me) is the most important part of the song/video. The whole thing talks about women empowerment. The point is to say that woman are more than their bodies and that we don't owe men anything...we don't have to look good for them or please them. That even when a woman is wearing something more revealing it's not just for the pleasure of guys, but can also just be for herself. Idk if I made clear what I'm trying to say but yeah

This song isn't about being sexy it's about the state of politics where a lot of men were legislating over women's bodies and she was saying- I'm not going to be an easy pretty little girl I'm going to do what I want with my body. A lot of the scenes like the 1970s one you pointed out at the beginning are pointing out the images a woman is forced into but she is showing a woman can be all things. Also the pelvic thrusting is less sexy and more a provocative- is this the thing that scares you so much? Such as in the scene in white she puts her hands over her crotch and stares directly at the camera which is a kind of comment on how you cannot decide what she does with her body and anything she does she does for her not for men. Also interestingly the rope scene- there is a kind of bondage therapy she has referenced that is used by a lot of trauma survivors which involves being tied up into patterns where you learn about trust and allowing someone to have physical power over you and working with them and it's in the web where she sings the part about being aware she isn't 'easy' but she would rather be a difficult woman than naive and controlled. It's probably one of my favourite songs of hers and live it's amazing.

That woman that you thought to be represent Halsey when old,she is Debbie Harrys, singer of the band Blondie,she is dives in many aspects of the artistic world as well as singer but also an icon of a strong woman who takes no shit from anybody,also featured in the video you can see Cara Delevigne also a good spokeswoman for the women rights cause.

In regards to the fight scene, what I take away from it is that it’s supposed to represent how women are alway pitted against each other, and fighting. 🤷🏼‍♀️I could totally be wrong, but that’s what I see

Well, as a woman I always find her lyrics really great but honestly, her videos and live performances always make me uncomfortable. I'm not a prude, and I like a little sexiness but there's something angry, dirty and uncomfortable about how Halsey portrays her sexual side. So I really like her music but not very videos
