In other reactions I’ve seen people upset she had braids in one scene. The whole “cultural appropriation.” Halsey’s father is black and her mom is white. Her real name is Ashley. This song is totally girl power. Only women worked on this song and video. After BTS I think a lot of people were shocked this was the same girl from their video. She’s an artist and a damn good one! Thanks for your reactions!
Fun fact this video came out just at time when some shit were happening about abortion law. She has soo many different songs with literally all genres.
React to more Halsey she's AMAZING! React to her songs Without Me, Now Or Never, Bad At Love, Castle, New Americana, Colors, Alone, Closer, and 11 Minutes. Oh and her and BTS are actually friends in real life. Their collaboration wasn't forced by a label. They all wanted to collaborate because they have a genuine friendship and understand each other even with some language barriers. It's hard to find genuine friendships in the music business so I'm glad they found a real friend in her. She's an awesome artist and a great person. React to some of her interviews. And if you want to know a bit more about her on a more personal level then react to her speech at the Women's March.
I love Ashley(halsey) she's incredible she is mixed black and white she is from Jersey and she is bi she dated MGK, G-eazy and yungblud her and yungblud officially broke up and she is dating Evan Peters now those are the guys she dated and is dating she's still friends with her ex's except G-eazy she's a feminist and made this song for female empowerment. I love her live blonde and Ryan Destiny from star was in the video too. I love her songs bad at love, him and i, without me, 11 minutes, closer, and graveyard please react to some of this
I would like to hear a little deeper and longer reflection on your videos. Lets us here more of you opinions to the topics that are talked about in the videos you watch.. not just "i like it" and thats it. Because i like ur stil .. i wanna know more about your deep thoughts
Halsey's real name is Ashley Frangipane. She is in her 20's. As you can might tell she isn't necessarily afraid to shut down comments against what she speaks for in a classy way. She is actually a very smart woman and some people lately, coming into Halsey's music deriving from BTS don't often think she has this side of herz as she did light hearted music by the kpop group. Also, I know a lot of people is saying she uses cultural appropriation with the braids in a few scenes. But her father is black, therefore she is biracial. She included women of all diversity and didn't speak any ill will of any of it; simply speaking on women empowerment which should be simple to understand, but isn't. And yes, that was Deborah Harry from Blondie :)
Halsey is really good, I like her a lot, and yes that was Debbie Harry from Blondie! Check out more from her and Billie Eilish if you haven't already :)
1 yeah that s blondie 2 it is indeed about female empowerment , she said in a interview that she use to live in ny in the hood since she was little and back then every single day when she ll get out a man would ask her for a smile so the whole ideea about the song started around that memory about mens calling her''hey little girl show us a smile''and that s like a traumatic experience ,the song revolves around this ideea and it s an answer to all the people who think like that about women 3 pls reaction to halsey and geazy ''him and i'' and ''11 minutes ''with yungblud you ll understand her musical evolution . [ps i discovered halsey thru bts ,and i love both bts and halsey because of the message they re spreading']
More BTS and Halsey please. Also Billie Eilish, Twenty One Pilots, Die Antwoord, Bjork, Kasabian, Melanie Martinez, Metric, Florence and the Machine, Nothing But Thieves, Royal Blood, Pixies, Placebo, Tool...
