It would be interesting if there were an episode of Chicago PD in which Sgt. Hank Voight gets into a jurisdiction dispute with the US Army as they come to the 21st to pick up someone in his custody that his officers had arrested, and that the person is wanted for being AWOL from the Army. Would Voight salute someone in the Army above his rank or not?
Bare with me, it's been a while since I took Law classes in college, and I was never very good at it. However, i'm pretty sure that military members are the jurisdiction of the military courts regardless of where or by whom they were arrested. So Voight wouldn't have a choice. He would have to transfer custody of the suspect to the army.
Only once did Halstead wear his US Army uniform to pay his respects to someone who was in the US Marine Corps and that they met during an off-duty job, which was before Halstead met Upton and that he was more than friends with Erin Lyndsay, whom he almost married.
I missed this episode when it came out but watching this clip man did Halstead look uncomfortable. And I don't mind spoilers. So does anyone know why that other guy called Halstead Ricky instead of Jay?
@Dauntless Firefighter And Cop 3 I reckon Jay is uncomfortable here, because it’s rumoured that he came to this support group shortly after he returned home. (which is why he knew to recite ‘for the one next to me’) Also, Jay has never been open about his military past, and then end of this episode explains why - he confesses to Hailey that he had killed someone with his mates from a ricocheting bullet (that’s where the nickname Ricky comes from.) hope that clears things!
I don’t know why Halstead was mad at voight it wasn’t his fault technically it Hailey faults she knew what she signed up for hank didn’t ask her to come he didn’t wanted her to be there but she did it any way so she did this too herself
It was Hanks fault because he was the one who tortured a suspect and didn't call it in and that was the only reason they now have to hide it. What Hailey did was a good shoot but Voight covered it up and therefore made her a murderer.
@@findielfuchs3761 did hank ask Hailey to be their NO Did he ask Hailey to kill him no Roy try to grab his gone you saw it that his mistake and pay for it And who cares Roy kill Miller son and underage girls the way I see it wasn’t murder it was justice and be honest I bet every cop would have done that
@@joewhitehead3 she would still be involved in that man’s murder (because she could’ve stopped it but instead walked away) and she would have to hide the truth either way. Either way she was going to get dragged in to it (direct or indirectly)
