He was such a talented, gifted and gorgeous man. I think "Victor Hugo", his boyfriend, led to his downfall most tragically. He deserved a far better, kinder and loving partner. May he Rest In Peace.

When I was young growing up in the 70's. I remember the perfume bottles in the stores and the commercials...I loved Halston more then any other designer. There was something very special about his presence..

Excellent documentary. HALSTON was the designer Calvin was is basic American. No other designer has come close. I still have a bottle of his men’s cologne. God Bless him

Just goes to show you the class system. I think it was amazing for him a top fashion designer to want to dress everyone but Bergdorf Goodman had to act like a bitch. Nowadays top fashion designers like Vera Wang do what he was the first one to do. Good on him to follow his heart and vision and stay true to who he was and his roots

I think if I was offered a chance to be reincarnated I would want to come back as a Halstonette in the 70s.

Lets not forget he didnt have what YSL had- a finance partner. He had finance issues, badly managed economy.

I wear his perfume almost daily.

I remember meeting Victor Hugo, he always sh_t his pants at parties and we used to call him Signor skidmarks. Even Halston used to call him that to his face.

I too, really do like style AND I did find myself trying... trying pretty damned hard to watch either this documentary, or a similar one- that I think wound up on a free streamer. It turned out to be badly boring, loaded with hyperbole interviews and vagueness. Still though!? May he rest in peace.
