7:42 I think t-cogs being so fundamental is part of the point of taking it away. Looks like other, more affluent or prestigious, bots can still transform. It’s like the worker class bots have their t-cogs removed for ease of control.

I was surprised by Chris's voice fitting so well but Megatron's voice threw me off. The Optimus design reminded me of how he looked in The War Within comic series. I'm going to keep an open mind and save my overall judgement until I see it. I was a bit jarred by the type of comedy at first but after letting it stew for a bit I'm going to stay optimistic with it and hope it's got a good story. I do think I want to get the Studio Series figure of Optimus though cuz I'm liking and needing a cybertronian version of him to add to the collection.

Im looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. I wont judge on the full production till I've seen it.

So let me start by saying there was absolutely nothing the trailer could have revealed that would have *stopped* me watching the film so I am biased, I did share the trailer with my GF who has suffered through the other movies despite not being a fan because she loves me... and I was delighted when she was genuinely excited to watch this movie with me. She was even quoting the trailer later that day to me and asking questions about the characters... So although I can't guarantee we will like the film... I do believe it will bring new fans into the fold

I watched the trailer on my own, and overall, it gives me a "We're trying to be like the MCU" vibes. The banter reminds me of the characters from Guardians of the Galaxy. Also, as much as I like The Stones, I can't think of anything else but the Windows 95 launch when 'Start Me Up" is played. The movie could be fun, it could suck ass, but I'm still going to see it. With that being said, I watched it again with my son, and he is super enthused to see this. Honestly, that's the best thing. He gets to see an animated Transformers film, first run in theater. Also, hoping to get some cool toys out of all of this.

This gave me G1 vibes with the comedic tone. If Orion Pax mocks a couple of boobies for falling into a boobytrap? Oh yeah. Humor achievement unlocked.

I actually think this looks like a lot of fun. Just an enjoyable animated movie with cool action, gags, and hopefully an interesting story. I’m down to see it. Orion’s face does look hella weird, though. lol I like the actor playing Megatron, but that voice is going to take some getting used to, considering what becomes of Megatron down the road. So weird to see such a casual Megatron hanging out with Optimus like that, like buddies who constantly get into trouble. Weird, but interesting. ^^

I wasn't sure about it at first but after a couple more watches it's grown on me and now I'm looking forward to it 👍. Chris Hemsworth sounds decent as Orion Pax and I appreciate him consulting Peter Cullen.

Easy to assess the target audience of this movie. Which, as Ham stated, is not a bad thing. I’ll be stoked to see a TRANSFORMERS ONE pt4 in the future (or would it just be Transformers Four?) indicating this movie’s success. I’m definitely going to support it in the theater but I can’t say I’m excited for it. My brother says it presents as every other cgi kid movie these days. Just swap Minions or Mario for Transformers. A lot of us collectors are old school but injecting new blood is how longevity thrives. I’m personally not a fan of earning a transformation cog but we have so many different takes on the Transformers lore at this point that quibbling about details seems childish. My hope is this becoming a franchise that spawns a billion fans and a billion toys.

I’m not gonna lie.. me and my boy are excited to see this. Plus it seems accessible enough for baby Momma to tag along.

They target new young fans. Fully animated. Origin story. No humans. Before the war. Optimus and megatron were friends before. So I'm okay with this. It's something new. I wonder what will happen inthe end of this movie? Will Optimus and megatron go to their separate ways in the end? Will the actual war starts? The beginning of 2 factions? I'm very interested.

I like it. I’m here to see how it plays out. I think Hemsworth has crafted a great voice. It sounds like he’s doing his own thing but doesn’t ignore the legend. It’s good. Megatron? So I’m not sure where the gladiator pits and becoming a hard warrior comes from this. I need to see more. Scarlett is Scarlett. Bee is okay. He seems to be assaulting Mirage and idk green robot person. To me this story is very far from the war. Personally I like it. The war was just a gimmick to get kids to buy Autobot and Decepticon. I’m thinking this is just the fascination stage for D-16 with Decepticon life. Quintessons make great villains as they are just stuck up abusive jerks. So kicking their butt is fun.

Been a while since I’ve tuned in as have been through a lull with Transformers. Had collection receive some damage and just feeling like the brand is losing some mojo. I love G1 but I liked seeing new series take risks. How great was animated in retrospect. Just bought a new flavour that hasn’t been topped since. Feel like since the Bay era dragged on a bit long. The toy line suffers from no media to back it up and is stuck leaning on nostalgia. Wasn’t sure about this when first watched trailer. But once I showed my boy, I got wrapped up in his enthusiasm for it 🎉 As you pointed out Ham, we need the youth to get on board. Does suck though that toy line for this movie is looking like trash so far. Hopefully they haven’t shown the full deck. Hasbro should have poured more money in video games, that’s where I see the youth spending more of their time. Speaking of media though. Daniel Warren Johnson’s Transformers comic is worth checking out. My favourite Transformers media in a squllion years and kept my eye on the robots in disguise. 😊

Prime's face is a bit jarring at first, but the more I've looked at it I feel like all their faces are pretty much that G1 Sunbow look, just in 3D. It's grown on me. They're definitely showing first and foremost the humor, setting a kid friendly tone... but if you look at those quick cuts you can see a lot of Megatron character stuff shaping up, as well as the simple fact we all know the big war this sets up down the road. I predict a lot of dark twists and turns, and maybe they show that stuff in another trailer this summer. (Can't help but think of the Spider-Verse Miles Morales movie trailers, that sort of pulled this same trick.) For now, we're getting all the lighthearted candy, but I won't be surprised to see a pretty hefty main course hidden in this movie. I wasn't excited for this, but the trailer has me hooked! Can't wait to find out more! Thanks for your Reaction/Review, Ham!

Rule of thumb. If your Transformers story looks like kids are gonna love it, then you've got a good Transformers story 😊

My 2 problems after watching the trailer are, The lack of show, don't tell. Like during the 1st time transforming part; Optimus doesn't need to say, "where's my head?" when he's obviously looking for it. Or 'B' don't need to say, "where's my wheels?" when an instant after he crashes, they appear. It's condescending. The cast. Given this is a wacky and zanny adventure, dude bro Thor, black widow, street guy Megatron aren't a good fit. With the amount of money involved, they can get celebs with a comedy background that have odd ticks or tones that make their voices interesting. Say a grumpy Mike Meyers did Megatron and cris rock did bumblebee? It's not possible, but it's an example of a more comedic, cartoon voice.

I get that Hasbro wants to appeal to a new generation of kids, and they want to do that in the form of an origin story, that's fine. So why does it feel so low effort? Its strange since the visuals and action look good, the character designs don't look half bad, and, ultimately, I think the voices sound fine for the characters. It seems to me that the writers had no idea how to approach these characters, or the situation they're in, so they opted for predictable, tired humor to progress the story. Every other line in the trailer is a joke, and they all seem like they were ripped from any generic modern comedy and slapped in place because they couldn't think of anything else. The conversation between Pax, D-16, and B perfectly encapsules this. It's basic, unfunny slop that just happens to have transformers in it. It just sucks, because over the past 40 years we've had great writers how've written funny transformers dialogue, and didn't need to rely on it to progress a story. I don't want to be negative, like everyone else, I want all-around good transformers content for all ages. But they are clearly not putting in the best effort across all fronts, so why should to be supported? Unless a second trailer is able to show anything different from this, as far as I'm concerned, its dead on arrival.

I think it is Transformers one movie looks good for younger viewers but compared to the previous Transformer movies I'm just not impressed

*Good News:* I'm looking foward to TF One and I won't feel ashamed of myself for having fun with that movie. *Bad News:* I'm taking a break from the Transformers franchise until further notice after I'm done seeing the movie, because apparently my life as a Transformers fan is ruined, no thanks to the toxic communtiy/fandom turning the franchise into a "No Fun" zone when it decided to kill my fun for ROTB last year. For once? I'm glad I did the right thing of making the Unicron Trilogy and Beast Wars as my first introduction to the franchise, and of course Animated and RID 2001, and I'll gatekeep them for the rest of my life along as many times as it takes lmao.

I think it could be fun, made for me? Absolutely not, which is fine. Bring on the new blood and show me something fun and cool. I appreciate you Hammy, not going the easy clickbait/faux rage route. ✌️
