Another beautiful video Roly. Amazing to see how you folks are in cooler weather while it is hot weather here in USA State of Tennessee. We sure enjoy the videos. 73’s Roly. DE Tim ND4A
Nice one Roly. Lake "D" is where I learnt to waterski and also the location for the only time I ever "did 50" (mph) in a boat. Too young to be driving the ski boat, it was a heck of tight turn at the end of the run!
Yes, the Lake gets very busy in the Summer. I used to Ski competitively, still get the odd slalom in but given away the tricks and jumping. Leave all that to the Grandkids who are National chaps for their age group. My son skied for NZ many times and still competes at the top levels in NZ... cheers
@@krjames5880 No chance of that, I make sure any wires are well off the ground so that they cannot be touched or tripped over. A great place to get out and run in though.... cheers
Looks like a lovely lake Roly. I participated in my first ever contest at the local club for the NZART Memorial contest I may be operating tomorrow aswell.
Great, I will be operating from another Lake tomorrow (Sunday) from mid Waikato region, Lake Kaituna ZLL-0207. Look for me either on 5.353 CW or 7.032 CW or 7.100 SSB........cheers p.s. what is your call?
You are just looking for an excuse for a return visit Robbie. Can you remember where you were fishing? I will go and activate it on your behalf.... cheers
@@ZL1BQDRoly Ha that's not fair Roly, I spent allot of time fishing the Waitahanu River and where it enters the lake, on the NZ State Highway 1...Right at the bridge, I was fishing in the lake where the cool river current entered the warm water from the lake, lots of fish and lots of fun, and yes I plan on returning.. :-) Great channel Roly de Ei2iP. I worked VK7RG on ssb & VK7JB on cw, 20M last week.
I know that location well Robbie. Well next time let me take you to some secret spots up one or two of the feeder rivers and have some real fun .... cheers
