What Amateur Radio VHF and UHF digital modes look and sound like. FM Analog, Yaesu System Fusion (YSF), D-STAR, DMR and P25 are shown on a waterfall display.
There are two transmission bursts for D-STAR, DMR and P25. The first burst is a handi-talkie transmitting and the second burst is my Nano-Spot hotspot echoing (parroting) the transmission back.

Notice how similar Yaesu System Fusion and P25 are? That's because they both use C4FM digital modulation.

P25 has a lot more "white noise" about it doesn't it? DMR sounds like a cross between a Huey in Vietnam and the mother of all aliens calling :-)

How do you do with SDR Console to know the exact frequency of your DMR radio in order to align it?

I zoom in on the frequency scale so I can see the frequency of the center of the hotspot and DMR radio transmission. The hotspot transmission center frequency should be the same as your DMR radio transmission. Adjust the hotspot TX Offset to put the center of the transmission where it should be. Then set the RX Offset to the same value as the TX Offset.

Ok that's a relief. I just bought two dmr radios and a commercial licence. One won't program till I get a cord, so was trying the other one with dsd+ and it wouldn't decode. Was worried when I listened to it with a sdr and it sounded like a fart
