Cooter, you are AWESOME!! I learn something new EVERYTIME I review your presentation!! When I got into my very first AR-22, my ring-gear fell-out, before I had a chance to see how it was CORRECTLY installed. You showed me how it should go back in!! Without you, I never would have known!! Thanks much, Cooter!! You saved my bacon!!
Liked your video 1 reason I liked it Your are down to earth & I liked the way you explained what you was doing when you was doing it hope you do some more videos. Thanks Rick.

Ran across your video on the repair of the cde controller. Thanks it was helpful. I have a tailtwister with the same problem of the meter reading only 1/2 way. I replaced the capacitor on the meter control board but that did not solve my problem. I have the manual that has the schematic but I need the voltages to check where the problem is. Any idea where I could find the voltages to track down where the problem is? thanks
is there a way to hook up this 8 terminal control with an older CDE rotor with only 4 terminals on it? (not the 8 shown here). I am trying to piece things together to see if I can get something working with what I have laying around.
Be safe! Turn the rotor off and unplug after the motor start capacitor has discharged. Then it is safe to stick your fingers inside the controller to adjust the fuse or replace the meter light. Harris K9RJ
Thx from Oslo - Norway, most helpfull video ! Just got one for free, w.o. the controll- box ... Wonder if the box are the same for the different models, must innvestigate... Anders :-)
I have a rotator a ham II I believe it is. I was using it in the SW position. Wanted to turn it back to the East. It got to the NW and stuck. Will not turn either way. I changed out the controll box but it did not help. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
good video cooter. i just opened my cd-44 up to grease it and found that there is bearings missing its like a bearing every other slot. it works fine so is there any reason to be worried about missing bearings? cant believe somebody lost that many bearings.
Hi Bryan: I enjoyed your video. I inherited or better said a friend gave me a CDE AR 33 Rotor and Controller. Of course it does not work. Would you happen to have any information on trouble shooting the unit and a set-up procedure for aligning the position of the rotor to different angles from north to south. I have downloaded an operators manual with a schematic, but no trouble shooting hints.
Claude Earl. I never really got to work on an AR-33 rotor and controller that was worth anything. It's been years since I did any rotor work. 33s are something that I didn't work on successfully. 73s
