What’s confusing about this whole situation is that it’s possible to both condemn the Hamas attacks _and_ think Israel has been more than heavy-handed in its response to October 7th. It’s possible to support Palestinian freedom from Israeli state oppression without being antisemitic just as it’s possible to support Israel against Islamist aggression without being anti-Muslim. These 2 things are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Too many folk are either one thing or t’other in this conflict when it’s possible to be both/and.

The Arabs just changed the deal last minute and said they agreed to this new deal they just came up with. They knew the other side would never agree to this new deal (instead of a 40 day truce it demands IDF leaves the whole region which is basically a surrender) and the whole point of proposing this ‘deal’ was so people would blame the Yahudis, and see them as the obstacle to peace. It’s a good ploy, part of the ongoing propoganda war, but it’s disappointing so many people fall for it.
