Gardens and comedy don’t always go hand-in-hand, but in the Hart/Hart-Dyke family they certainly do. Miranda Hart is one of the country’s best-loved comedians and actors. Her mother, Diana, is one of the National Garden Scheme’s best-loved garden owners, who has opened her garden in the Hampshire village of Hambledon for decades and who spent many years as a member of the Hampshire National Garden Scheme team.

I have been on this NGS virtual tour for several weeks and must say, your garden is the most beautiful and truly the full essence of an English garden. So excited to see the the North American fringe tree in the garden. I am watching from Minnesota in the Midwest US and I have one in my garden. It's the most beautiful and smells like cotton candy. It is not a common tree grown here but it should be.

What a lovely video. This is my favourite of the NGS videos because you tell us about some of your individual plants and how they work in your garden. The background music is just the right volume - there in the background. I bet Miranda grows the Chionanthus virginicus in her garden too - lots of fun, that one. Please show us again when other favourite plants are in flower.

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing garden. It was lovely to see you and your lovely daughter in their early habitat. What a wonderful legacy, it must be heaven to be part of this through the seasons. I would just love to sit and read a book in your quiet space at anytime of the year. There's only one thing missing from the videos on this channel: smell-o-vision. Oh, the smell on a hot summer's day when it suddenly rains and everybody runs to the little tea room or under a 15th century alcove for shelter and then emerges when the shower finishes to inhale that INCREDIBLE smell in these gardens. It's one of my favourite things about being alive, just that one simple pleasure is glorious enough to make up for so much of the less than pleasant aspects of our human existence. :) Thank you for this lovely channel, especially appreciated by me in 2021.

At the start of your video I admired the high quality of the production. When your famous daughter was pictured I gasped in recognizing her, but do not know her by name. Love your garden efforts and the charity you are supporting. Thank you. I will review this again. Cheers
