I really like potatoes, corn, green beans, green peas, baby lima beans, & butter beans in my soup on top of what you already have in yours. I also like to add V-8 juice and I use crushed tomatoes. I find the diced tomatoes are the part of the tomatoe i cut out...the hard cores. I sometimes like to add large elbow macaroni or break up spaghetti noodles. I do not add okra (can't stand the slime it produces) but I do on occasion like to add cabbage or greens.
I have been making a soup similar like this for almost 20 yrs...I add Great Northern beans instead of noodles so it holds up for left overs. I like the barley idea from another viewer as well
Hmmm...... Red Kidney beans sound good, and Barley, but would you just add raw barley or precook it cause barley takes like 2 hours or whatever. I actually lived on barley for a week in a camp. I havent had it since and miss it.
This looks so good. I have been dying for hamburger soup but haven't made it in a very long time. Was searching for a recipe and yours cane up. Looks delicious. TU 😋
I'm going to make this but use ground turkey less fat ,trying to get my numbers down . She forgot to taste test the wine for freshness .. Thank for the video honey looks amazing .
I get scared adding carrot to soups. It just feels really over powering, but I love it in like pot roast. Thank you for the recipe, I was scrolling through Ground Beef Soup recipes and your thumb nail had the look of what I wanted, a lot of other thumbnails were very 'grey' looking, the soup didn't look as nice as yours, maybe the wine. I'm going to try this tonight but no wine and maybe half a carrot and 2 cups onion. I bought an Instant Pot and it's really neat but it takes a little getting used to. Might add some chili sauce, but stick to your elbow macaroni. When I make potato soup its very creamy and I think I'll prefer the macaroni because im thinking to a meal fro, childhood. Mad add a little cornstarch slurry as well towards the end for viscosity.
