Mineral water great choice, I'll have to try sometime along with the spices. Thank you :)

I prefer basmati rice,but do tend to wash the rice at least twice. Then soak it for 30 mins and add a dollop of butter in the electric rice cooker. If you use pre soaked rice,adding 1.5 cups water is enough and if you buy old rice then 2 cups of water and the yield will be better. You can adjust to the softness levels for the rice by tweaking water. Sometimes I just add some oil in the rice cooker,caramelise shallots or onions, add some diced tomatoes,some spices etc and then add the soaked rice with tsp of salt. Some vegetables like peas/beans etc and you have mixed veggies rice or biriyani ready. The soy sauce was a bit gross though, but again it's all preference 😀

why is it better ? its like sayin its better not to use rice but beans ...or bulgur or lentis ... better for what ? the taste ? the cost of production ? .. think about all those questions .. and now understand that you are thinking in the box :)

ALL my Asian friends say you don't wash the rice unless it's dirty. 😂😭

It is one cup of rice 1 1/2 cups of water steam for 35 minutes. Thank you for watching.
