I spent a month deciding back and forth on whether or not I should get the black or champagne color dial. I think that both colors have the same amount of pros and cons. I ended up getting the black because of the color contrast and how the face looks like an old vinyl record. Sadly, unless you are staring an inch or two away, you won’t see the details so I should of got the champagne. Still a great watch, I got a Haveston NATO roundel strap for it and goes great with my minimalist fashion style.

The black has a better lume in which all numbers glow. I own the cham and only hands and dots lume.

Thank you both for the input, honestly i am having hard time to decide between the two, if it would be beige rather than champagne that would be no brainer but i guess in this case i feel closer to the black dial.

i have this watch and after getting it i watched a review where they commented on how the day complication chopped off the 11, 12 and 1 numerals and now i fixate on that every time i wear the watch.

why do you keep comparing the Khaki king to the 38mm when most of the audiences don't even know or interested in the 38mm, they watch this video beacause they r interested in the 40mm King...just concentrate on the Khaki king itself when you do a review...
